JG FINE ART

LEMON FRAME GALLERY

A Michigan native, Jacqueline Gilmore returned to the Midwest after studying at the American College of Art & Design in London, the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia in Italy. The collections she showcases at JG Fine Art in Grand Rapids, and in private collections throughout the world, highlight her multidisciplinary background and her international perspective.

Located in the heart of the Tel Aviv, Lemon Frame Gallery is a young and trendy gallery in the international scene. Founded and directed by Nathalie and Gil Wertheimer with the vision to bring original contemporary art to people’s homes and to their daily lives, the gallery aims to introduce emerging artists from around the world, providing them with opportunities to increase their visibility to a wider public.

From Impression, a life-size kinetic sculpture inspired by artist Ward Fleming’s 1970 Pinscreen toy, to Wood Palette, an abstract painting inspired by the rainbow eucalyptus found in the rainforests of Mindanao, Gilmore’s work is designed to speak in a very personal way to the beholder.

Established in 2016, Lemon Frame Gallery embraces the democratization of contemporary art with a concept that meets the genuine need for original and accessible art. The Wertheimers frequently transform and reinvent its space, showcasing changing exhibitions and curated group shows and exhibiting a diverse range of fine and innovative work, including paintings, limited edition fine art photography, sculptures, mixed media, and video art.

VEHEMENT ART

Located in the Chelsea Fulham District of London and the Texas Hill Country in Wimberley, just outside of Austin, Texas, Steidel Fine Art provides collaborative advisory and fine art services for private collectors and interior designers for the home, professional office, and corporate environments.

Jared Schwalb is a self-taught visual artist and the owner of Vehement Art. Although he has worked in the financial industry for most of his life, Schwalb is passionate about urban and contemporary art, and that intensity comes through in his work.

London I Austin, Texas Booth R100

As an artist, Debra Steidel is known for the intricacy and eccentricity of her hand-thrown porcelain sculptures and the vividness and boldness of her crystalline glaze as witnessed in such signature Steidel work as the Ocean Whisper Series. As a curator, Steidel is known for her work with emerging and established artists to present a diverse exhibition of different disciplines and media congruent with trending concepts and themes thoroughly dedicated to inventiveness and distinction. Artists include Spanish painter Lorena Garcia Mateu, fine art photographer Bob Cook, the free-spirited and self-taught visual artist Maeva Fouche’, and surrealist painter Thomas Dowdeswell. What sets Steidel Fine Art apart is its dedication to providing clients access to sought-after works of art from across the U.S. as well as overseas collections from the United Kingdom and Europe. The gallery holds exhibitions where it seeks to develop personal relationships with clients and offers tailored, curatorial experiences to art collecting.

Boca Raton, Florida Booth R106

Known for large-scale mixed media works, Schwalb creates works that feature everyone from Leonardo da Vinci and Elon Musk to Jimi Hendrix and Lil Wayne to Popeye the Sailor and Wonder Woman. His most recent work includes “Trudging,” a series of five unique works of archival ink metallic paper featuring the Beatles Abbey Road album cover. Armed with an uplifting perspective, Schwalb looks at everything as if it’s art and sees life itself as an artistic expression. vehementart.com Contact: Jared Schwalb info@vehementart.com

A R T L A B 1: O U R PAT H FRONT ENTRANCE

Our Path

SCULPTOR JAMES WEST / STUDIO WILD WEST Beautiful. Haunting. Interactive. Dramatic. Spectacular. All words to describe Our Path, a monumental, contemporary outdoor sculpture delicately laced with intricate laser carvings celebrating the natural world. Each carving interacts with the environment through the use of positive and negative space—and with each of us as we pass through the sculpture. James West’s art is always intended to be read on many levels. With Our Path, viewers discover human footprints positioned in black near the sculpture’s base, evocative of man’s carbon footprint and of our great responsibility to Mother Earth. Some footprints are small, others large, representative of all humankind. Our Path is a thought-provoking piece, whose intention can be read on several levels, making us contemplate our place and impact in the world. It’s a stunning piece of ornamentation, with its massive steel arch spanning 32 feet and soaring over 11 feet in the air. Our Path invites attendees to contemplate their role in the world, with fusion and balance called to mind. 18

ART LAB 2: A WALK IN THE CLOUDS REGISTRATION TENT

A Walk in the Clouds

CURATED BY NOOR BLAZEKOVIC OF IRREVERSIBLE PROJECTS WITH THE SUPPORT OF JANE HART OF LEMON SKY PROJECTS AND NEIL GOLD OF GALLERIA FARMS One of the great challenges that people confront today is that we often feel untouched by the problems of others or global issues such as climate change, no matter if we could easily do something to help. We do not feel strongly enough that we are part of a global community, part of a larger we. With all of our access to the daily news, we often feel overwhelmed and disconnected, not empowered and poised for action. This is exactly where A Walk In the Clouds aims to make a difference. A Walk in the Clouds does not intend to show people what to do. Rather, it offers an unforgettable experience with an empowering message: Each of us is connected to the other through our body, mind, and spirit. A Walk in the Clouds hopes to make the world felt and, with these feelings, aims to spur thinking, engagement, and even action. RED DOT MIAMI ART SHOW 2017
