Park Radio is solely run by its team of volunteers who all give their time freely and are committed to making the station sound as good as it does. Do you have skills that you can use to be part of our happy and vibrant team? Are you good at organising; typing; speaking on the telephone, face to face contact with the general public at our events; gardening at the railway station (we have adopted their planters and garden) making a cake when we hold our coffee and cake mornings for charity; IT skills. Station Supporting Station

Since 2008 Park Radio volunteers have been maintaining the planters and the garden at Diss Railway station. Currently there are three people who are weeding, planting and watering the planters and garden. During the time that Park radio adopted Diss Railway station garden we have been winners of the Greater Anglia Diss Station Adopter Award in 2018 and won the Greater Anglia Highly-Commended Award in 2021. The team are Heather Babb, Peter Harrison and Trevor Lond. They would be really pleased if you would like to join them in this worthwhile work to maintain a welcoming place for visitors to our lovely town.

Once the plants are in place, usually early spring and late autumn, there is just weeding in the garden and watering of the planters, which we try to do every week.

If you are interested in joining this team of volunteers please contact Heather Babb on 01379 650302 and leave a message.
