welcome Your guide to Park Radio….your truly local station!

Welcome to the third edition of “On the Air” as we now look forward to not only celebrating our 2nd Birthday, on air full time, but also remembering some of the numerous highlights from 2019 and what is planned for next year. In February we welcomed students from Archbishop Sancroft High School who took-over the airwaves on a Saturday, in June Park Radio were recognised at the South Norfolk Community Awards and in July we helped to organise “Fun in the Sun” which raised £800 for local charities, which included The Samaritans and Pancreatic Cancer UK. Recently we had some terrific news from Ofcom, who have granted us extra power to enable us to reach additional towns and villages across South Norfolk & Mid Suffolk. We plan to extend our coverage area very soon. We have also started work with the students of Hartismere School in Eye, who will have their own programme in February 2020. Park Radio is all about the 40+ volunteers who devote so much time to help provide a first class local radio service to the communities we are licensed to serve – I would personally thank them all for what they do. It’s my 10th year since helping to launch the station from the basement of a shoe-shop in Diss and it’s a dream come true. We hope you continue to enjoy what we do and will help us by completing the short questionnaire inside which will automatically enter you into a prize draw to win a meal for two at the Queen’s Head in Eye. Good Luck! If you have any comments about Park Radio please feel free to either email me direct on chris@parkradio.co.uk or just pop in! Keep listening!

Customer Testimonials

The Traditional Media Agency (TTMA), with over sixty years’ experience, are the area’s leading Media Planning and Buying Agency for advertising campaigns on Radio, Television, Posters etc. We work closely with Park Radio for our clients– especially our friends at Sound Sleep - and can happily say that the team at Park is a well-run and very effective operation. We are extremely happy with the spot advertising they deliver and with their co-operation in “going the extra mile” to extend the options available for their advertisers. We are also grateful for all the nice people who listen to the station – Park Radio is a really special Local Radio Station. TTMA ‘Michelle Denny Recruitment is new in town … partnering with Park Radio has proven to be an amazing way of letting the good people of Diss, Eye & Harleston know where we are, what we do and how we do it. The flexible advertising options are great value for money and we’re very proud to be one of the many businesses supporting them as they support us … community at its best.’ Michelle Denny Recruitment

We have been using Park Radio for quite a few months now and find it an excellent service to the local community and it gives our local business a local presence to local people that is very good value for money. We highly recommend and commend Park Radio and wish it continued success. Julian Sharp, Director Brands Media (Media Agency for Mattressman) ‘Sound Sleep – Bed, Mattress and Bedroom Furniture Specialists of Winfarthing - began advertising on Park Radio in April 2019 through our agency, TTMA. Sound Sleep have found the team at Park to be extremely helpful and thoroughly professional. Not only have our airtime campaigns run smoothly but our Managing Director, Andrew Bright enjoyed a live interview on air which really caused a stir! Thanks Park – long may this brilliant relationship continue.’ Sound Sleep ‘We have been very happy to support a true local advertising medium, with direct access to the local community and will continue to do so for many years to come, I’m sure.’ John Doe and Sons
