서울루나포토페스티벌이란?

서울루나포토페스티벌은 사진과의 친근한 만남을 꿈꾸는 행사다. 스마트폰의 출현과 함께 하루에도 수십 억장의 사
행사는 크게 사진 전시와 사진으로 만든 동영상 상영(슬라이드 쇼)으로 이뤄진다. 서촌 일대에서 생활밀착형 문화

era of the advent of smartphones and the diffusion of hundreds of thousands of photos a day, it was inevitable that concerns over the way in which we encounter photos and discern good images would arise. Moving beyond the exhibition space of uniformly hung frames, it's only natural that the demands of the contemporary world would expand the definition of images to include music and other video media. Centered on the Seochon (West Village) area, the Lunar Photo Fest seeks to convey the beauty of these new channels of images through experimental, freeform displays. Diverse work will be explored through collaborative efforts by photographers, musicians, sound creators, illustrators, and other artists. In particular, a large-scale screen installed on the square in front of the National Palace Museum of Korea inside Gyeongbokgung Palace provides a new photographic experience underneath the moonlight of October nights.
Program The event featured large-scale photo exhibitions and video screenings of photographs (slideshows). In the Seochon area, five spaces set the tone for this event: the socially conscious, cultural event organizer ‘Art Space Boan 1942’, the genre-pushing photography center ‘Ryugaheon’, the independent theatre ‘Okin Theatre’, the leading space for architecture exhibitions ‘On ground Jisangso’, and the Tongui-dong Pub ‘Lava.’ This event particularly paid attention to bringing together photography and music. In the past, photographs were mainly presented as prints with printed text placed near or next to them to describe the works; however, nowadays, photographs have been shown digitally with music and narration via the Internet and social media. As a result, on behalf of the concept of the event, a recording engineer voluntarily produced music to go along with the photographic videos and Art Space Boan showcased ‘Bulsechul’ (a musical group that creatively fuses the old and the new) for the opening celebration. In addition, on the last night of the event of October 5th, after the video screenings ended in the courtyard of the Palace Museum, musical performances kicked off at Art Space Boan for the ‘Lunar Music Carnival’ and as ‘part 2’ of the overall event. Moreover, machine critic Lee Youngjun and photography critic Park Sang Woo opened up a debate for the ‘Ways of Showing’ conference. From one perspective, conversations took place with artists at the multiple venues throughout the event. Art Space Boan held their annual free market called ‘Semoa’ and included a collection of photographs and items associated with those photographs.

루나뮤직카니발은 루나포토페스트 기간 중에 열리는 축제 속 또 하나의 옴니버스 축제다. 이 카니발 기간에는 통의동 보안여관의 실내, 야외, 테라스 모두가 뮤지션들의 무대로 바뀐다. 보안여관 곳곳의 전시와 슬라이드쇼 그리고 음악이 함께 어울려 더 깊은 감상의 기회를 제공하는 새로운 형식의 공연이다. The Lunar Music Carnival took place within both the Lunar Photo Festival and the Omnibus Festival. Musicians played indoors, outdoors, and the patio interchangeably at Art Space Boan in Tongui-dong during the carnival. Furthermore, Art Space Boan displayed an exhibition and slideshow throughout the venue and presented music that fused well with the visuals to offer a new kind of ambience.

Artist Profile 강허달림 Gangheo Dallim 국내 여성 보컬리스트의 보석 같은 존재로 손꼽히 는 강허달림은 ‘신촌블루스’ 출신의 보컬리스트. 국내 블루스 역사를 새로 쓰고 있다는 평가를 받 을 정도로 개성 있으며, 울림이 있는 보이스는 한 번 들으면 절대 잊을 수 없는 마력을 자랑한다. 평 단의 호평을 받아 두 장의 정규 앨범을 발매했다. Considered one of the best female vocalists in Korea, Gangheo Dallim is synonymous to ‘Sinchon Blues’ as she is known for her powerful and robust bluesy voice, so much that the genre’s history should be rewritten. She has released two full-length albums, both which have been well received by critics.
미미시스터즈 Mimi Sisters 옛 사운드의 흥취를 자아내는 ‘미미시스터즈’는 선글라스와 두꺼운 메이크업, 앙다문 입술로 상 징되는 정체불명의 여성 2인조다. 기발한 가사와 중독성 있는 음악은 동시대 젊은이들의 삶과 사 랑에 관한 고민을 위트 있게 보여 주며 많은 공 감대를 형성하고 있다. The ‘Mimi Sisters’ are an egocentric, oldies-inspired, sunglasses wearing, tight-lipped dynamic duo with thick make-up. Their whimsical lyrics and addictive shows bring together contemporary youth as they address love, wit and distress.
조아람 Jo Aram 사랑과 이별의 단상을 노래하는 싱어송라이터의 조아람, 사랑과 이별을 슬프고도 아름답게 그려 내는 그의 노래는 아름다운 멜로디, 담담한 목소 리와 어우려져 많은 이들의 공감을 이끌어 낸다. Singer-songwriter Jo Aram centers his songs on relationships; where love and break-up can be both sad yet beautiful, just has his voice carries through both pain and beauty through cool melodies and warm harmonies.
