lare Menck is the festival artist of the Tulbagh Arts Festival taking place from 28 to 30 September.
She will also curate an exhibition at Saronsberg Cellar where the existing gallery space has recently been expanded. This exhibition, titled “SECOND TAKE” will showcase the work of 26 artists represented in the Saronsberg collection. Clare has approached each artist for a new “conversation piece” to enter into dialogue with their work currently in the collection. The idea is that the new work should not be too similar, but that a comparative chord will be struck through contrast versus similarity. This could perhaps be a then-and-now look at the artist’s output. Participating artists are
