CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR ARTISTIC STYLE?
As an intuitive artist, over the years, my paintings have become abstract with some hidden figurative images .
WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?
In the last few years, I have been producing abstract work , the result of intuitive painting. Playing with colours, exploring various techniques for different effects.
I love to play with shapes and forms, I like challenging ideas and create in an organic way. My eclectic journeys account for a lot: from watercolors to clay, from lost-wax to bronze, from pencil to acrylic, all these materials serve as my backdrop and it is with lightness that I try to transform them into works which I describe as intuitive.
HOW AND WHEN DID YOU DISCOVER YOU WANTED TO BE AN ARTIST?
“It was always my childhood dream when would spend hours in my coloring books and later draw with my Prismacolor crayons; I would daydream and wonder what it would be like to be a “real” artist.
For many years, I always explored different workshops to learn new techniques.
Then, finally, in my fifties, when “my job as a mother” was over, I could explore full time, the various facets of creating art.”
WHAT MESSAGE DOES YOUR WORK TRANSMIT TO YOUR AUDIENCE?
As I am an intuitive artist, I try to capture the feelings of the moment, or images from past trips to seek beauty in nature and share my perception to others.
HAS ANY PART OF YOUR STORY INFLUENCED WHAT YOU DO NOW?
All the numerous life experiences, my art exploration in sculpture, jewelry making, painting in various media are somewhat reflected in what I do now. all is part of who and what I am.
