Patron | Brett Shuttleworth Why do people call our patron Brett Shuttleworth the ‘Rockstar of Motivational Entertainment?’ SA Celebrity Magazine asked Ruphali Mahendra Rajani to pose this question to Brett and this is what he had to say: “From a young age, I had a natural ability to hold people’s attention and entertain them. I have further evolved myself by undergoing the highest level of training with one of Hollywood’s most prominent acting coaches, John Kirby, and further going through one of the most rigorous Coaching and Trainer programs at one of the world’s leading consciousness coaching academies, of which I later became a Director. I use my life formation and background as a policeman, professional sportsman, celebrity, supermodel, actor, entrepreneur, corporate director, speaker and father to inspire, motivate and entertain audiences around the world. I have travelled or worked in 16 countries to date to make a difference in people’s lives, creating a ripple effect of love globally. The impact of my work ranges from making souls smile, to motivating sports teams to win, and making a difference on a corporate’s bottom line – this is what I’m absolutely passion about! It’s probably this level of love, passion and commitment, which touches people and leads them to refer to me as the Rockstar of Motivational Entertainment! What is my message through my talks? My message: If I could give you one gift today, I would give you the ability to see the beautiful gift of love you are already. I not only believe that you are already everything you seek… but what you are ultimately seeking for is seeking you, and that is Love, the ultimate success!”

Ambassador | Brumilda van Rensburg It is a superbly beautiful day in Houghton, Johannesburg: the weather is mild and gentle, the afternoon an orange and auburn glow as the sun sinks behind huge trees. Brumilda van Rensburg, iconic actress and patron of the Foxwood Theatre, is opening the Foxwood Arts Festival. She handles the occasion with the ease and aplomb that have been inculcated in her over years of public speaking. She looks stunning, dressed in a turquoise dress showing off her fine figure, a worthy and glamorous Patroness of Arts. The event is one of many she attends but tonight is special. She has forged her links with the owners of Foxwood House over many years. The circle of people listening to her are enchanted by her sincerity as she reminisces not only about the arts but also the value of friendship. Brumilda is so much more than the glamorous star of top-rated soap operas. Too few are familiar with her brilliant work as serious actress. She has brought to her interpretations of leading roles in Shakespeare and Chekhov i a razor-sharp intelligence and great innate talent. She is an accomplished artist with a sense of selfconfidence that only years of experience can create. She is indeed a woman of many parts. Brumilda, brilliant actress, iconic soap star, an established and beloved member of the glitterati. Those epitaphs come to mind, but her close circle of friends know her so differently. As the candles are lit in the Foxwood House gardens, they gather closely around her. They know behind the carefully orchestrated public appearance is a woman of substance and a committed and caring friend. A worthy Patron of the Arts, certainly. Article: Pieter de Vos

5 star accommodation
Manna Bay Upon entering the glorious realm that is Manna Bay, one could easily be dazzled by the royal-like setting, with rich pallets of vibrant colour and sleek sophistication drenched in culture and class. One could just as easily be taken aback by the astounding site of the historical giant that is Table Mountain, peering over the 5-star resort. You could drift away as you lie back in pure luxury surrounded by marble and glass; taking in all the sights and sounds of some of South Africa's finest. However, nestled beneath the spectacular aesthetic and the world class service that Manna Bay prides itself on, is a significant fact about the boutique hotel you may overlook on first, or second glance. Amongst its plethora of facilities and features, Manna Bay houses a library of thousands of second-hand books, purchased from charity shops. With each and every book bought, Manna Bay is giving back to charities across South Africa, proving that their hotel is not only of the highest class, but of the strongest heart as well. One of the primary charities Manna Bay supports is 'TEARS', The Emma Animal Rescue Society, a NPO aimed at the rescuing and rehabilitation of abused and neglected animals, as well as 'Help the Rural Child' a charity trust that makes a sustainable contribution towards the improvement of the
lives of rural children. The close bond Manna Bay has formed with these organisations is precisely the kind of atmosphere the resort exudes one of environmentally and socially conscious care. This is where the true magic of the Bay lies, a hotel which is able to transcend and blend many different cultures and locations amidst its themed rooms, yet simultaneously remain, at it's core, distinctly South African and fully aware of the power it has to spark change locally. Manna Bay has built its opulence on a foundation of genuine compassion and care for the less fortunate, and has in turn created an environment which one can not only be privileged to be a part of, but proud of as well. If you're ever in need of experiencing Cape Town in its most marvelous, treat yourself to a stay at Manna Bay. Article by: Blaine Shore | Features Editor
