CLIENT BRIEF Asahi Kasei Corporation is a global Japanese chemical company. Its main products are chemicals and materials science. Asahi Kasei’s Fiber operation supplies worldwide markets with original technologies and unique fiber materials developed through 90 years of experience in manufacturing of original yarn, spun fiber, and fabric. The basic intention of the project is to integrate the fabrics made from Asahi Kasai fibers and yarns into the Indian Market. India is rapidly emerging as an important economy, with the world’s second largest population offering vast potential as a consumer market. This project will help them understand the current market scenario and its consumers and cater to their needs, in order to expand their business. (figures, size and source)
DESIGN BRIEF To seamlessly integrate the Asahi Bemberg fabrics (details on the fabric) into the Indian Market by developing a collection of clothing based on intensive research of the consumers and current market for women between the age of 20-30, also comparing it with the trend forecast. Using different methods of fabric manipulation and surface development. Deliverables: Eight (8) final surface and silhouette designs for a collection of garments. One out of the final surfaces will be stitched as prototype. Documentation of the project.
