DONOR HONOR ROLL

2023–2024

AS I LOOK BACK ON THIS PAST YEAR, I’M FILLED WITH DEEP GRATITUDE FOR THE UNWAVERING support of our community. The generosity of our parents, alumni, staff, and friends continues to enrich the lives of our students in ways that are both profound and lasting.

Every contribution, large or small, has a lasting impact. Whether it’s through programs that inspire curiosity or the enhancement of our learning spaces, your support enables us to provide a truly exceptional education. Your giving allows us to continue our mission of nurturing every student’s potential and preparing them for a world of endless possibilities.

In this Donor Honor Roll, you’ll see the real difference your contributions have made. From innovative programs that align with our strategic aspirations—Engage All, Include All, Inspire All, and Nurture All—to personal stories of students whose lives have been enriched, this report is a testament to the power of our collective efforts. What you give is more than just financial support; it’s an investment in the future of our students and the legacy of ASD. It’s a reflection of your belief in the value of education and your trust in us to use your gifts wisely and effectively.

As we move forward, I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and continued impact we can make together. Thank you for your steadfast support and for being such an integral part of our community.

Warm regards and Go Falcons,

THROUGH THE COLLECTIVE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY, WE CONTINUE TO ENHANCE OUR students’ learning experiences and strengthen our school’s commitment to excellence. As we reflect on the remarkable strides we’ve made, let’s take a look at the incredible support we’ve received.

Their generous support goes beyond financial contributions; London Dairy has sweetened our community with its delicious ice cream and coffee, making our events even more memorable for families, students, and staff.

2023–2024 Volunteer Efforts

WE ARE DEEPLY GRATEFUL TO THE MANY VOLUNTEERS WHO GENEROUSLY SHARE THEIR time and talents to enrich our community. ASD thrives because of the unwavering dedication of parents, friends, and alumni who contribute countless hours each year to support our school. Your commitment makes a lasting impact, and we thank you for being an essential part of our success.

PTSA

The mission of the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is to foster a strong sense of community and enhance student learning at ASD. The PTSA promotes diversity, connection, and engagement across the school. Each year, PTSA events and programs help build a vibrant school community and encourage family involvement. In 2023—2024, well over 1000 hours were recorded for PTSA volunteers. With the dedicated efforts of hundreds of parents, teachers, and students, the PTSA has made a meaningful impact through initiatives such as:

• BUDDY FAMILY PROGRAM

• GRADE COMMUNITY FACILITATORS

• CONNECT CAFES & GRADE COFFEE MORNINGS

• FALCON FUTURES

The Creative Arts Support Team (CAST) supports over 50 arts events throughout the school year, including large-scale musicals across all three school divisions. In the 2023–2024 school year, CAST supported a dedicated and enthusiastic network of 180 volunteers and 27 parent leads contributing countless hours to tasks such as creating over 300 costumes & accessories, applying make-up, selling tickets, providing concessions, and ensuring the success of each production. CAST also collaborated with the PTSA for a joint costume drive in an upscaling effort leading up to the annual Halloween festivities.

CAST BOOSTER CLUB

The ASD Booster Club is committed to championing Elementary, Middle, and High School athletes— fostering a strong sense of community engagement while actively raising funds to elevate and enrich the school’s athletic programs. The club’s success is driven by the dedication of its volunteers. Up to 60 parents took on vital roles in team coordination and managing athletic apparel across 3 seasons of athletics. Additionally, the Booster Club’s WhataWednesday initiative at the Falcon’s Nest benefited from substantial volunteer commitment, with 10 dedicated parent volunteers and all 9 Booster Board members rotating to provide concessions for 33 weeks over the 2023–2024 school year.

EDIBLE EDUCATION

The Edible Education program at ASD brings learning to life through hands-on experiences that resonate across cooking, gardening, composting, and pollinator protection. This year, parents fully embraced the program’s mission, dedicating remarkable time and energy to support its success. An inspiring 240 parent volunteers helped bring the Kitchen Classroom sessions to life, 67 shared their creativity and insights in menu planning workshops, 42 enriched our sustainable garden initiatives, and 60 helped with the Bee Garden Mural project. Through this collective effort, ASD’s Edible Education program became more than just a curriculum—it blossomed into a vibrant community of learners and creators. VOLUNTEERS
