On 7/3/13 our 4yr old Lab, Abby was hit and killed right outside our home on Donnan Lane. The person responsible didn't even stop. My husband had just let her out, it was around 6:15am, and at 6:26am, he called me to tell me she was hit and killed. She was not in the road because there was no blood in the road, she was in the ditch outside our home. He never heard a vehicle screeching stop or anything. So our theory is the driver was not paying attention when she was hit. Her body was mutilated, and we want to know who is responsible because they owe our family an apology. It is inhumane for someone just leave without even checking on her. My husband and 6yr old son was there and we had to tell him his dog was dead. Our road is not a common, or a busy road, and we are the only house on the street, so it would not have been difficult for the person to know where to go to inform us of what had happened. Accidents are going to happen, but don't be a coward about it. Thanks Dawn and Joe Moffitt
