The Foundation is classified a SA 501(3Xc) which is a tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code. Tax exempt status has been granted both for the foundation and its donors. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial or other resources in support of the curricular and co-curricular activities of A-C Central Community Unit District #262 and to aid and assist in general the cause of education, extra-curricular and interscholastic programs in the school district. Appointed as officers for the Foundation were Scot Atwood/President, Homer Rieker/VicePresident, Mathew Greer/Treasurer and J.R. Blair as Secretary. The other board directors seated were V. Todd Jokisch, Milton Edge and Harold Hoagland Jr. An ex-officio member of the board is the current superintendent Rebecca Canty. President Scot Atwood stated, that schools across the nation are faced with increasing demands and diminishing resources and we have seen an explosion in foundations created to assist their local schools. This project has been in the planning stages for the last year and we as a board would like to thank West Central bank of Ashland for Donating $2500.00 to the Foundation. It is because of their generous donation that we were able to get this project off the ground. We are committed to seeing a vibrant and financially secure education environment in the A-C Central School district. We are in the process of contacting alumni, community members, businesses, corporations and anyone who has an interest in helping the school in Ashland and Chandlerville.

ASHLAND’S ZIP CODE DAY CELEBRATION 6-26-12 A big thank you to all who had any part in our Zip Code Day Celebration. It was a huge success. A special thanks to Allen's, Mayor Handy, Caseys, West Central Bank, Dollar General, and all who brought goodies. Pulling together, our little town can do Big Things. The highlight of the celebration, besides the Mayor's ice cream, was the entertainment. Amanda Rhoads, Tim Kelly, Bob White and Judy Fulton, C.J. (of Springfield), and Heather Riley (Watkins) made the evening complete with their music. Thanks to all for a job well-done. - Judy Fulton
THANK YOU A Big thank you to everone that helped with the Zip-code party. We had a really great time and an wonderful turn out. There was a very large group of people who helped. The weather turned out to be just perfect. The churches were great in giving us desserts, Allen’s provided the hot dogs and the buns, Dollar General helped with paper goods, the Mayor got the ice cream, Judy Fulton got the entertainment, Casey’s gave us the Ice Tea and the ice. Helen Strubbe provided a roasting pan for the hot dogs; the bank helped us get some of the condiments and the lemonade and chips. The firehouse loaned us the jugs to keep the drinks in. Postmaster Bob was at the library and had a special cancellation stamp commemorating our Zip-doce day. The Baptist church was helpful with letting us use things that we needed such as tables and more roasting pans. Nancy Heather helped with the fliers that were sent out, and Vanessa at the city office told TV 20, so they would know about our party. It was really nice that they came and took pictures and had a nice little story about our town that night on the news. Also there was a large amount of people there to help serve everything and we would like to thank them all, but we don’t want to forget anyone, so we are just going to say to all of you that we really, really thank you so much for all you did to make this a really fun night. - Mayor Dave Handy, Judy Fulton, Lil Hultquist
