NOTICE - ASHLAND SENIORS Don’t forget the Senior Citizens Dinner sponsored by the Ashland United Methodist Women. It will be on Thursday the 21st of November at noon and held at the St. Augustine Catholic Hall.This is the 33rd year we have been able to offer the dinner as a gift to the Seniors of the community (Seniors serving Seniors).

We want to thank them for the services they provide and thank the Catholic Church for the use of the Hall.

A-C Central High School and Eldridge Plays will be presenting No Signs of Intelligent Life November 8 and 9 at 7pm at the high school. This comedy by Bryan Starchman features over 30 students and examines awkward human habits from the perspective of aliens that are living among us. If you think you’ve suffered too many awkward moments or been in the dark in conversations, just think how poor, innocent aliens feel! Hungry to fit in, they do and say things that we humans aren't allowed to. Join in the laughter as these extraterrestrials meet all kinds of humans -- teenagers, rednecks, survivalists and the most enigmatic, tech support nerds. Will these hapless aliens be able to figure out the daily rituals of dating, gossiping at the water cooler, camping, or even fixing our computers? The aliens have the knowledge to increase food production, create alternative energies, and achieve world peace. Are Earthlings the intelligent life they seek to bestow these gifts? More important, could Earthlings help the aliens get home again?! *Please note, if the football team advances to the second round of playoffs, the performance times and date may need to be adjusted to accommodate the game.
