These colours show the foggy, musty cool tones such as blues and greys that sum up the cold winter beach walks along Northern Europe’s coasts along with the stones and greens that dot the sand with driftwood and seaglass.
COLOURPALETTE OPAQUE SEASHORE
OPAQUE SEASHORE BERLIN As seen here Lilly Ingenhoven, at Premium tradeshow, SOMETHING and on promotional postcards for IVKO. This soft and natural look spreads across all areas of the brand with some aspects of water and travel as well as ethereal beauty and innocence. This look is more what a brand stands for than what they portray.

DECONSTRUCTED RECONSTRUCTED As seen here (clockwise from top left) at DaphnÊ Dasque and unknown at Premium trade show, Emma Optiz° Lederlinge at Seek trade show, Antik Batik, also at Premium trade show and Freitag at the guerilla style Bread & Butter Berlin. This trend was used mostly for visual merchandising to tell the story behind the products but in some cases combined with technology, such as at the Freitag stall which sums up their brand.

These calming colours are soft to evoke a relaxing but urban feel. This urban palette shows the modernity of this trend, that now warmer colours are associated with cleanliness rather than classic cooler tones.
As seen here by (clockwise from top left) & Other Stories, Drykorn Berlin, Ideas on Paper Nottingham and Galeries Lafayette. Relaxing shop interiors showcasing garments with simple shapes in block colours. This look never screams minimalist but had some similar qualities but embraces colour and quirky acsessories.

VM & INSTORE VENDING MACHINES MOODBOARD
The predominant menswear and underwear featured in this look means the colours revolve around greys and khakis with hints of pale periwinkle, warm ochre and deep green to ensure this is a masculine trend.

VM & INSTORE VENDING MACHINES BERLIN
As seen (left to right) used in the adidas concept store in Berlin, Stockholm based brand A.O.CMS at Seek tradeshow and Bread & Boxers at Premium tradeshow. This method of packaging is perfect for shipping and displaying in small boutiques as well as having an interesting point of contact to customers when inside a working vending machine. I also think this trend is aimed at menswear, especially basic items such as socks and underwear because of the simplistic qualities of the buying method.

Warm natural colours match this ethnic look and bring the visual merchandising industry back to nature. The colours derive from woodland scenes as well as forest rivers, stone and campfires.

VM & INSTORE NOMADIC SPIRIT COLOURPALETTE
VM & INSTORE NOMADIC SPIRIT BERLIN As seen (clockwise from top left) used by Pendleton Woolen Mills at Seek trade show, DaphnĂŠ Dasque among others at Premium trade show and used at the entrance to Seek itself. This way of visual merchandising either runs adjacent or in contrast to a brand; both methods compliment the looks whether it be with modern pieces or more traditional. Seek trade show got around the expense of having real plants and cross sections of trees by using chipboard and fake foliage.

Soft natural colours from raw materials are the nature to this trend. In this case, minimal doesn’t always mean white, instead pale wood and silver metals become the base colours.
VM & INSTORE RAW MINIMALISM As seen used here (clockwise from top left) in Sue Ryder, H&M, Ring of Trust at Premium trade show, Rough Trade Nottingham and Mimm. This look is all about clean lines contrasting against raw materials and natural textures. This makes the products the main feature, which is especially good for simple products like graphic t-shirts.

As seen here by (clockwise from above) Seek trade show paper, DUAL POS card, Black Lily lookbook and business cards from Bread & Boxers, Alexis Holm and Lilly Ingenhoven. The trick to keeping simple graphics eye-catching is to be clever and use other methods such as cut outs or embossing to make your print work stand out.

Bright colours against muted and green tinted greys bring this trend into streetwear for A/W ‘15. The colours will rarely clash due to the size of the prints, unless this ocntrast is intentional.
PRINT & GRAPHICS MICRO PATTERNS As seen here by (clockwise from above) Kult Magazine, Gabrielle Pastini from Bread & Butter brand paper and LRG lookbook. The mixing of micro patterns with block colours, large prints and other mirco prints freshens these prints for A/W ‘15.

CRAFTED TEXTURES PRINT & GRAPHICS BERLIN As seen here by (clockwise from above) Berlin Fashion Week Magazine, Indigo People in the Bread & Butter brand paper, Kult magazine and Salvatore Piccolo, also from the Bread & Butter brand paper. The layering of crafted textures with contrasting colours, patterns is key here as well as chunky knits and the obvious traditionalism of the garment construction.

MENSWEAR SHEARLING COLOUR PALETTE The spectrum of warm, earthy and natural colours come from the trend being based around a raw material. Nothing is too bright but more so slightly off true colours with dusky qualities that come from shearing for wool.
MENSWEAR SHEARLING BERLIN As seen here by (clockwise from top left) at Premium trade show, Nudie Jeans Co. at Seek trade show, Denham The Jeanmaker at Bread & Butter Berlin show guide, Nobis at Premium trade show and LRG brand ‘zine. Shearling was a stand out trend with many brands using it on key pieces, covers of lookbooks and as part of their single picture for show guides. A classic Autumn/Winter look due to it being predominantly for outerwear is matched with tailored items and added to smarter coats gives this trend it’s setting for A/W ‘15.

Rich, warm reds, yellows and browns sum up to 70s look but A/W ‘15 sees the introduction of Navy and subtle greys. These make up the twist on such a classic style.

Black in every variety taken from surface textures such as black denim, leather and leather coated is mixed with traditional military colours and darker shades of grey for this streetwear trend with edge.
MENSWEAR UTILITARIAN BERLIN As seen here (clockwise from left) at BOY London at Seek trade show, Klauser at Premium trade show, Kult Magazine, LRG brand ‘zine, Kult Magazine and Seek trade show paper. This trend is built on different surface textxures of black in contrast to one another. Most brands produce this as a lifestyle more than a trend, but for A/W ‘15 this trend will be brought to the early majority.
