The projects featured in this book are very personal. These projects have given me opportunities to contribute as a designer, refine my design process, work outside my comfort zone, and engage with clients, contractors and consultants. They represent a collaborative effort and support from my team, colleagues, Design Principals, Project Architects, Project Managers & Contractors that I have had the opportunity to work with. It is also representative of a team effort guided by passion for good design to create meangingful spaces for the client and communities. I have enjoyed working on all aspects of the project, with the design concept stage as my favorite. I have worked collaboratively in several market sectors, which has given me the opportunity to cross-pollinate ideas and concepts across various disciplines. Some projects gave us the freedom to re-examine the building typology, while others have brought design efficiencies to highly functional building type. In every project, creative ideas are driven by designing around the user group/ client. Solutions are driven by the framework of logic, function, and by the experience of spatial sequence. These core principles have always been central to my design process as I continue to grow and learn from clients and people I engage with. I am motivated by design excellence and building projects that enrich our communites and promote environmental responsibility.
