Cambodia, Here We Come

We thank God that His plans are greater than ours. We have been praying to visit Cambodia as part of the preparations for our missionary work there and also have been planning to convert Nnamdi’s student visa to a temporary resident visa which will allow him greater freedom to do ministry work here. God has started answering these prayers, but in ways we did not anticipate- The Philippine Immigration at a very short notice directed Nnamdi to leave the country and return in order to convert his visa. This has made it necessary for us to take a trip out of the Philippines. We therefore decided make it a ministry trip by travelling to Cambodia. This trip will give us 2-in-1 answers to our prayers. First, it will be an opportunity for to see and survey the area we may be working in, to gather information and other important materials we need to consolidate the plans we are making for our work there and to interact and encourage our Cambodian contacts and other missionaries. Secondly, By God’s grace, Nnamdi will come back to the Philippines with a tourist visa and then begin the process of converting it into a resident visa. Lastly, God answers prayers in His own way; His plans and thoughts are far greater and different from what we think.

We only have 4 days before we fly to Cambodia. Please pray for us and with us: “With thankful hearts

...be thankful in all circumstances In the Philippines, we have welcomed the new School Year 2011-12 and the wet season – rainy days. At this time various things occupy the minds of people. Those things could be temporal or eternal, but no matter what they are we must not forget that amidst our various concerns, Our God wants us to always remember that he cares for us. He longs to give us real peace in the midst of our various concerns. My friends be joyful always, pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances. This is

what God wants from us in our life in union with Christ Jesus. ...with thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17; Philippians 4:6-7)

Join us in praising the Lord: 1. MFCM Children in Cavite: Our mission organization, Millions For Christ Missions is sponsoring four young people to study in De La Salle Health Sciences Institute Dasmarinas Cavite. We thank the Lord for his grace which has kept them all this while. Though it has been difficult the mission has been doing its best to provide for their school fees and daily upkeep. Now the Lord is working through the willingness and eagerness of De La Salle University leadership to help them finish their studies. Please pray for them that they may be encouraged by the good efforts of De la Salle leadership in helping with their studies. Pray that in the midst of their studies, they will continue to experience God’s reviving touch and so continue serving the Lord. Pray that they may be covered by the Blood of Christ as they respond to difficulties of life and that all their needs may be provided by God’s riches. 

God’s Amazing Grace

One of our bible study members was appointed Undersecretary in the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). In May 2011 we were invited to lead a fellowship service in his office at the Department of Budget and Management at the Presidential Palace in Manila. We thank God for the opportunity to share the gospel with all those who attended. We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen our brother in his witness.

2. Our work in Asia. The new school year have welcomed us with different challenges worth praising and thanking God: a. We thank God for the opportunities of preaching and teaching. Nnamdi continues to receive invitations to preach and teach in some of the churches and schools here in the Philippines. We thank the Lord for the opportunities and his grace which enables us to fulfill such service for his kingdom. b.

We thank God for His on-time provision. Ours is a journey of faith in the service of God. We testify that God never fails, his faithfulness is beyond measure. He both directs and sustains us! As the school year began we were burdened with school and tuition fees issues of our siblings in school. We thank God that by his grace we were able to give some help to them. We pray that the Lord will continue to meet their needs. Indeed God is amazing in sending His on-time provisions!
