MFA in Visual Arts FINAL CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2020/21
DOCTORAL SCHOOL INTERDISCIPLINARY PRINTMAKING (non-degree) ENROLMENT
The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design offers top of the range art and design education on three levels – Bachelor, Master and PhD. We are a state university and we educate students on full time and part time basis in five faculties: Faculty of Painting, Faculty of Sculpture and Art Mediation, Faculty of Interior Architecture, Design and Scenography, Faculty of Ceramics and Glass and Faculty of Graphics and Media Art. Our main building is located in the historical part of Wroclaw and the new building – The Centre of Applied Arts and Innovation – is a state of art building with ultra-modern studios and facilities.
In the academic year 2020/21 we offer three programmes conducted in English: MFA in Visual Arts study programme, Doctoral School research programme and one-year Interdisciplinary Printmaking, non-degree programme. MFA in Visual Arts is a 2-year (4 semesters), interdisciplinary study programme, where students can choose as a major, one of the fields of study we currently offer. Each student will be able to develop their knowledge and artistic skills in their own pace, making use of expertise of our teachers and state of art facilities of the academy.
DOCTORAL SCHOOL Our Doctoral School is an artistic and research unit, educating people with significant artistic achievements and high research potential. The doctoral programme lasts 6 semesters and enables to obtain advanced knowledge and skills. It is a preparation for receiving a PhD degree in the field of art in the discipline of fine arts and art conservation.
INTERDISCIPLINARY PRINTMAKING (non-degree) This 2 semesters programme is addressed to graduates of the Bachelor or Master Degree studies. Under this programmme students will be able to realize interdisciplinary print media projects, chosen from following studios: Intaglio, Relief, Lithography, Serigraphy or Creative Drawing. The program also offers lectures and workshops provided by professors or visiting artists, artists’ books, installation-based printmaking, experimental printmaking, photo and digital media and new technology in printmaking classes.

Currently, we plan to start the academic year in traditional form but we have prepared options for different circumstances.
