Atelier Home Gallery is pleased to present to the p public the Italian stop of the travelling Third Eye Crying,, solo show by the Montenegrian illustrator Linnch. The exhibition Third Eye Crying tackles themes and issues that we face on a daily basis as a Society, ociety, but which for the most part we are standing anding on a myopic eye: Mass pictures and masses of human beings who walk over other human beings, over Nature, all in the pursuit of Capital and Power. The Linnch artist creates worlds with a unique internal logic often surprising, unsettling. Always starting from the context considered, his works show a socially conscious approach to contemporary porary issues. The irony of the illustrations dialogues with the viewer and his perception of the world, leading him on a roller coaster of emotions from an initial amusement that introduced him to the work to criticism and debate about the absurdity of our preconceived notions. In its style, the series of 16 illus illustrations reminiscents of the propaganda posters, doing just as the blunt and intelligible language of the same posters in order to try to establish direct contact with the observer. Linnch plays not only with these strange and grotesque characters, distorting their appearance ance as a mirror of their twisted logic and their world that melt and lose shape, but also with multiple interpretations of a particular social phenomenon. This ambiguity leaves the viewer amused, shocked, and ultimately involved.
LINNCH | www.linnch.com Linnch - stage name of Vanja Vikalo - is a visual artist whose research focuses on illustration. Originally from Herceg-Novi Novi (Montenegro), but based in Belgrade (Serbia), is formed at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in the degree gree program "Computer Design and arts." For years it has been active in the artistic scene of the Balkans, working in parallel on many projects across Europe, making known his works through publications on blogs and magazines arou around nd the world. Linnch is currently working as a freelance illustrator, working with labels such as Coca Cola, UNICEF Montenegro, Nespresso and Le Monde Diplomatique Croatia. After several solo and group exhi exhibitions, bitions, his latest exhibition exhibiti Third Eye Crying arrives in Trieste for the Atelier Home Gallery after meeting the public of seven other cities.
