“Green Infrastructure to provide a livable environment and protect existing habitats”

Landscape Planning Principles

“Gamuda Cove” is located right next to the Expressway Lingkaran Tengah (Elite) Highway, approximately 15 minutes by car from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 40 minutes by car from downtown Kuala Lumpur.

To create an efficient road hierarchy which encourages visual linkages with the wetland without breaking the physical connectivity.

Central Park Zone : Playground and Water Feature

The proposed landscape design for this project embraces the sites natural environment and complex ecosystem. Through design of landscape preservation measures and celebration of natural assets, we aim to create an exemplar destination which will cater for residents and visitors of the mixed-use development, strengthening the projects image as a unique and world class development.

The Central Park Area forms an important center piece of open space frame work of the plan. Here the residents and visitors can relax next to the water, learn about local ecology and stroll through the park on one of the many proposed trails.

This part of the Central Park is located right next to a shopping mall. The mall is located at the beginning of the commercial axis. The park forms the background /decor of the mall and provides space for water shows, events/art installations and a multipurpose plaza with F&B facilities.

The sites unique location adjacent to the wetland park opens various opportunities for an eco-themed development. The team has developed various solutions to blur edges and create an extensive network of trails connecting the development with the wetland. The current water levels of the site will need to be maintained in order to limit the impact on the wetlands ground water level. As such, the development will have an interconnected water system which will not only provide environmental benefits but also provide recreational and educational values to the development through the sensitive integration of projectwide trail system that creates pedestrian and cycling linkages between all of the unique zones identified within the project.

Embrace and value the site surroundings through an effective zoning and building layout. Maximize development frontage and integrate open spaces to maximize public benefit.
