This touring exhibition explores the many ways African Americans advocated for inclusion in American democracy during the 50 years after the American Civil War, from 1865 through World War I. Enhanced with special Atlanta areas from Atlanta History Center collection, as well as other Atlanta and Georgia institutions, the exhibition highlights the African American struggle for racial equality and full citizenship.
