power of patina WHILE WE COULDN’T RESIST CURATING A LIST of the newest, glitziest, most dazzling holiday products in our annual Holiday Gift Guide (page 12), I must admit that it was infinitely more satisfying to run my fingers across the worn leather dining chairs in designer Lauren DeLoach’s personal home (page 60)—and equally as refreshing to discover that the faded orange velvet cushions found on architect Bill Ingram’s antique faux-bamboo chairs (a 1960s Baker set purchased on 1stDibs) were original. Too often during this “most wonderful time of the year,” it’s easy to singularly focus on the new and the now, perhaps in a quest to match the shiny silk of our ribbons or the glimmer of our brighly colored packages. When it comes to creating lasting holiday moments in our family, however, it’s most certainly the “old” that channels the happiest of memories: the classic Spode Christmas Tree china inherited from my grandparents; the silver flatware monogrammed with my husband’s grandmother’s initials; and the quirky holiday ornaments and oddities that have been gifted to our children through the years.

HE O’MORE COLLEGE OF DESIGN MAY BE BEST KNOWN for its nationally ranked fashion and interior design programs, but this year the school will also be known for pushing the boundaries, literally and metaphorically, with its annual Designer Showhouse. Held outside of its native Franklin, Tennessee, for the first time in Nashville, the showhouse is located at Você, the estate of country music icon Eddy Arnold, and the 4,000-square-foot house strikes a slightly rebellious air with a completely black exterior. In addition, Atlanta designers Robert Brown and Amy Morris, 19

both recipients of ADAC and Veranda’s Southeastern Designer of the Year awards, were invited to participate as designers and Honorary Chairs, adding an air of sophistication to an already stacked deck of designers, most notably Nashville designer Jonathan Savage. Indeed, says Savage of the showhouse dining room he designed, whether “in a formal or informal environment, it is always a good idea to have fun.”And although he was referring to the “O.C.D.” monogrammed on his linens (O’More College of Design, not obsessive compulsive disorder), the sentiment could very much apply to the sophisticated space. While tailored blue draperies envelop the room and add a sense of luxury and intimacy, a trio of handmade ceramic pears on the Maison Jensen-designed table create a sense of whimsy among Suzanne Kasler for Ballard Design’s French bisque lamp slips. In the living room, Amy Morris allowed the stepped detail of the fireplace surround to inform the design of her space, striking a clean-lined note, but with an elegant mix of antiques and modern elements, as well as velvets, wool, and natural materials. For the covered porch, Robert Brown played up the drama of the black exterior, filling the space with clean-lined furniture, graphic fabrics and contemporary art. Yet, everything is water- and sun-proof in Brown’s inviting, modernmeets traditional space. 20

From his Southern roots to his westward expansion, designer William Peace seeks projects, people and places that reflect his commitment to authenticity WRITTEN BY Suzanna
President Charles Gandy in the mid1980s. The enormously successful partnership of Gandy/Peace solidified Atlanta’s design principle of mixing the best of the past with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The firm lasted 17 years, until Gandy retired.

Early Days William Peace was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and studied interior design, architecture and photography at the University of Kentucky. Working in residential architecture and construction was a formative experience for Peace. “From setting foundation blocks to speaking with the cleaning crew or the owners, I learned the importance of communicating with everyone involved in the project and how to relate to people from all walks of life,” says Peace.
First Partnership After a brief stint at Ferry, Hayes & Allen Designers in Atlanta, Peace joined renowned designer and ASID National 22
Peace Design rapidly expanded, opening a Montana office in 2004. “In the 1990s I fell in love with the majestic and magnetic vistas of the West,” says Peace, “and that made me want to explore how to create interiors that complement the views rather than compete and overshadow the incredible landscapes.” Peace Design now employs 10 people. The firm relies on a palette of neutral backgrounds so that textures and elements of the natural world can be accentuated. “Whether creating sleek, modernist urban interiors or textural, layered Western interiors, I strive for classic design that incorporates objects, art and decorative elements that are authentic and pure,” says the designer. Peace is a unifying force among Atlanta’s top designers. “We are so fortunate to live and work in Atlanta, where it’s a unique community of designers that compete for projects,” he says. “But we’re actually friends, and we influence each other in positive ways.”

Peace has won numerous awards throughout the years, including Southeastern Designer of the Year and National ASID Project awards. In 2016 William Peace was awarded the Georgia ASID Chapter Award for Design Achievement.
Westward Expansion Regardless of geographical direction or design ethos, Peace Design continues to flourish. “I have an amazing staff, and we work on beautiful projects all over the country,” says Peace. “But we rely on our Southern roots as we expand west in creating unique, interesting, classic projects.”

Naomi Von Habersham DO YOU REMEMBER THAT Designing Women episode in which poor Bernice, who was perennially off her rocker, wore the Christmas tree skirt that Mary Jo gave her, not realizing it was meant to decorate her tree? Or what about the turkey curry buffet scene in Bridget Jones’s Diary, when Mark Darcy donned the reindeer sweater his mother gave him, much to his (and Bridget’s) mortification? Although you’ll never see me in a novelty sweater, much less a tree skirt, I understand how these holiday sartorial slip-ups happen. Let’s face it: When December rolls around, our good taste and sense are often compromised by well-meaning cheer. Much like the leg lamp in A Christmas Story, it’s holiday kitsch that often gets the better of us. How else can you explain grown men and women wearing sweaters blinking with miniature Christmas tree lights? When I encounter someone decked out in one, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. But oddly enough, I don’t mind a little questionable taste in holiday decor. I’m a sucker for a plastic, illuminated Santa partnered with his sleigh and reindeer. When I see a set on someone’s lawn, it reminds me of less complicated times. And those big, inflatable snowmen with the fake snow dancing around in their clear snow-globe bellies? How cute are those? If I’m having fancy people over to my house at Christmastime, I’ll likely burn a Rigaud or Diptyque candle. But catch me when no one is around, and you’ll find my peppermintscented, candy cane–swirled candles lit for my own satisfaction. I love anything flocked—the one time of year that I cop to it—glittered and tinseled, especially on my trees and garlands. At any other time of the year, I would be horrified at the amount of bling in my house, but in December I love it. The holidays give us license to be kids again; I say let’s take advantage of it. Come January, we can go back to being adults with good taste and sense.

Kitchen Jena Salmon, Kay Design Studios and Mathews Furniture + Design This unit’s kitchen was designed to be “a soft take on contemporary,” explains Jena Salmon, the interior designer who selected the finishes for the showhouses. For this unit, she collaborated with Kay and Jamie Chung of Kay Design Studio to create the room’s many attractive components: Tall, narrow cabinet doors and deep drawers, for instance, are outfitted with the award-winning German Hettich system, which helps users get the most storage and efficiency out of the space. Nickel bar hardware offers a streamlined silhouette, and the island is topped with durable Neolith. The space was dressed up further with white-glass ceiling pendants, bamboo barstools and antique paintings added by Don Easterling and Nina Nash. In a final stroke of genius, Kay Design Studio installed a flat-screen TV against the vent hood, creating a the ultimate convenience in keeping with the kitchen’s streamlined style.

Living Room DON EASTERLING and NINA NASH, Mathews Furniture + Design The living room started with the designers’ shared love of textiles and travel, melding global influences. Nina Nash and Don Easterling of Mathews Furniture + Design took cues from Kit Kemp’s bohemian English boutique hotel concepts. “It’s about blending timeless pieces with daredevil design,” Nash says. “We wanted an eclectic rendition of a classic English style.” Easterling was eager to accessorize with his collection of English antiques, including a gilded sunburst clock, framed pastoral paintings and blue-and-white porcelains. The room is defined by its mix of old and new, from the reproduction French Moderne coffee table and faux-palm floor lamp to a colorful antique Turkish kilim and an Indo-British armchair draped with a sumptuous sheepskin. Sister Parish window treatments and indigo Christopher Spitzmiller gourd lamps frame a green velvet sofa, which inspired the abstract commission by Nashville artist Kayce Hughes. The bold fabric reappears on pillows in the dining nook, where a fringed Oscar de la Renta settee (topped with an indigo Bunny Williams Home throw) sidles up to custom Hickory Chair table with metal-wrapped legs.

Master Suite CHRIS HOLT, Holt Interiors For a master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and modest proportions, designer Chris Holt created a showstopping canopy by draping a bed from his retail store, Noah J. & Co., with an S. Harris fabric in a serene blue. “I took sort of a fresh country approach,” says Holt, who was heavily influenced by Serenbe. The Lee Jofa chintz of the pillow fabric informed the color scheme of this layered, sophisticated space, and every design decision relates back to nature, be it through patterns, artwork or plenty of fresh greenery. Located just off the bedroom is a covered porch boasting pair of “big, comfy chairs” woven from a weather-ready polymer, plus an easy-care Couristan rug. Anchoring the

Guest Bedroom JENNIFER HEALEY, J. Healey Interiors Jennifer Healey had previously visited Serenbe for a family trip, so she was well poised to interpret the needs of a visitor to the bucolic destination. “I really connected to the site, how natural and relaxing it felt,” says the designer, who knew immediately she wanted to incorporate one of Charleston artist Lulie Wallace’s feminine fabrics into the space. A wildflower print (coincidentally named Georgia) was canopied over a rattan daybed. An antique writing desk and lightweight stools and tables can be easily moved around as needed. The color palette stemmed from the clay pigments in a Karina Gentinetta abstract, and while the array of oranges gives the room a welcome vibrancy, these hues were a departure for Healey, who ordinarily opts for neutrals. To keep the overall look earthy, she employed shades of forest and Kelly green. Old and new intermingle via an antique planter atop a Lucite pedestal, while Healey’s go-to animal prints, such as the zebra-print carpet, ground her space in the classics.

Wooten Interiors With its neutral palette, clever combination of curves—coming from the dark cowhide rug and swooping linen armchair—and straight lines seen in the collection of framed art and striated grass cloth walls, Anna Wooten Loggins’ concept for the office easily accommodates both masculine and feminine leanings. The choice of wall texture was a natural one for the designer, as it lent depth to the small room. An oversize lantern grounds the tall ceiling, while a Schumacher textile with a slight nod to ’70s Bargello adds oomph to the window treatments via the wavy motif. These shapes are repeated in a pair of ceramic lamps accenting the Holland & Company antique table, where stylish accessories range from a shagreen box to an artful iron bowl the designer filled with paper clips. Perhaps most intriguing is her choice of lumbar pillow textile—a mix of zigzags, lines and dots from Quadrille. Says Loggins: “I liked that it was tone-ontone, kind of a play of lines within itself.”

Ground Floor Powder & Hall PATRICK and MEGHAN SHARP, Mister + Mrs Sharp Tackling two of the home’s tiniest spaces was, for husband-and-wife duo Patrick and Meghan Sharp, about making maximum impact. The eye darts almost immediately to the Schumacher Iconic Leopard wallpaper wrapping the hall’s walls. “Navy is a little wild for us—definitely our boldest color,” Patrick explains. “But we found it worked really well with the gray.” After turning a built-in niche into an elegantly appointed bar, they poised a carved-wood knife holder from William Word Fine Antiques upon a simple white pedestal, giving the room its pièce de résistance. The adjacent powder room proffered an equally chic foundation for the pair’s style, with its Jena Salmon–selected striped Porcelanosa tile that takes on the appearance of grass cloth. The Sharps accented this motif via a mirror with the perfect proportions for the sink beneath. “We loved the traditional nature of taxidermy against this modern tile,” notes Patrick, who loves the nod to the wildlife beyond the French doors. “You can’t drive out of this neighborhood at 7 o’clock in the morning without seeing deer.”

Master Suite TERI DUFFY, T. Duff y & Associates Interior designer Teri Duffy borrowed elements from the European style of Serenbe’s Manor Homes at Mado for the master suite, which blends antique treasures, contemporary artwork and rich textures for a look that’s layered yet fresh. “Mado’s architectural setting of a European countryside guided the design towards a collected look reminiscent of the French laissez-faire style,” Duffy says. The designer juxtaposed contemporary artwork with antique finds, including a pair of corbels, a kudu skull and a cast-bronze eagle head. A black-and-white color scheme anchors the space and allowed Duffy to sprinkle in pops of rich blue via a Pakistani rug from Moattar and Benjamin Moore’s Prussian Blue paint on

Living Room BUFFY FERGUSON, Elizabeth Ferguson Design, and DAVID FRAZIER, David Frazier: Architecture + Interiors Designers Buffy Ferguson and David Frazier envisioned the light-filled living room of this townhouse as a multifunctional space that would allow for entertaining both large and intimate groups. “Our goal was to achieve a space that felt understated yet luxurious,” says Frazier. The design duo broke the room into three distinct areas: one for lounging, one for conversation and one for dining or drinking. With a well-traveled homeowner in mind, Ferguson and Frazier incorporated natural touches such as a vintage zebra-hide rug, an African gemsbok mount and an alpaca throw.

In the kitchen, Salmon selected a hand-painted tile for the backsplash and hood, and the dark Dutch styling of the kitchen cabinets, created by MAST CUSTOM CABINETS, were influenced by a door the designer had spotted on a trip to Florence, Italy. “I looked at the warmth that [Europeans] have in all of their homes; they all feel very warm and inviting,” she says. Salmon extended this warmth into the breakfast area, cozy nook to enjoy a meal. A comfortable sitting area includes a desk and a pair of plush club chairs, so homeowners can “check emails or sit with a glass of coffee or wine,” Salmon says.

Guest Bedroom JENN BALCOS, Swoox “My inspiration for a room always begins with the love of a special art piece,” says Jenn Balcos of luxury consignment shop SWOOX. She used artist Todd Alexander’s “I Came to Dance” as her muse for this bedroom. Balcos infused the room with plenty of tactile touches, including a Turkish Ceyhan rug, a mohair stool and a fluffy throw. Anchoring the room is a forged-iron canopy bed by Dessin Fournir, which creates a striking statement alongside a collection of various artworks. “I wanted to show potential clients that you don’t have to have a huge home or tall ceilings for a large, one-of-a-kind piece to look balanced and perfect,” Balcos says.

Architectural Design EDWIN RHINEHART and ROBERT PULLIAM, Rhinehart Pulliam & Company Edwin Rhinehart and Robert Pulliam, who have designed a few single-family residences at Serenbe, set out to create a center for the community’s Mado neighborhood that also seamlessly connected its townhouse spaces to the outdoors. The pair drew influence from Swedish architecture, evident in the building’s steeply pitched roofs, dark gray casement windows and white-brick exterior. “European architecture factored into everything,” says Pulliam. "Not only in style, but at a deeper level in how the building functions.”

J
JEFFREY DUNGAN is not a fan of formal, imposing architecture. He’s the first to admit you won’t find him designing a Georgian or a Greek Revival. The Birmingham-based architect is far more enchanted by humbler proportions. A self-described “closet modernist,” Dungan says it is the Arts & Crafts movement—and the work of talents Edwin Lutyens, C.F.A Voysey, Charles Mackintosh and Bernard Maybeck—that gives his heart levity. However, his houses have never been specifically that. Unlike traditional Arts & Crafts, they’re light and bright inside. Their interconnected volumes are unpredictably proportioned, with layouts that feature strong axial relationships between rooms. Second floors—if his houses have them— are tucked under low-pitched rooflines. Throughout his almost three decades of practice, this ingenuity and charm has earned Dungan a multitude of devotees and critical acclaim—most recently from ADAC and Veranda, who named him Southeast Architect of the Year in spring 2017. All worthy praise considered, the Alabama native has managed to stay somewhat under the radar—at least to Atlantans. Perhaps that’s because, beyond never having completed a project 57

in Georgia, Dungan rarely works in his home state. Yet the scope of his portfolio is vast, spanning the Americas from Nova Scotia to The Bahamas, Chicago to Los Angeles, and even as far afield as Ireland. But regardless of where his journeys lead him, Dungan’s inspiration always goes back to his passion for the site. “The earth tells me what I need to do,” says the architect, who is personally writing the text of his debut tome, to be published by Rizzoli and released next fall. One of the strongest hallmarks of his artistic perspective manifests in windows—how they embrace natural light, allow viewers to take in the natural world “from a safe vantage point” or offer tightly focused peeks into it. The other is material: tactile 58
and contextual applications of tumbled fieldstone, copper, steel, marble and wood (including reclaimed and ebonized)—rarely in the same combination or mood. “What’s fun to me is to have high and low, something very rustic next to something very sophisticated, a material that’s very raw next to something very polished,” says Dungan, whose residences define the terms disarming, grounded and approachable—like a blazer paired with denim, like Dungan himself. One can see why his clients connect so deeply to the buildings he creates; how they embrace and channel the freedom of expression innate to Dungan’s projects; and, in sum, come to navigate, as he says, “the best lives they can on a pile of dirt.”

T’S ALL ABOUT THE MIX FOR designer Lauren DeLoach, whether she’s dreaming up a color scheme for a full-house renovation or entertaining friends for a holiday lunch. DeLoach’s time-tested approach: to seamlessly blend the old with the new; the formal with the casual; and pretty patterns with luscious neutrals. In her own home—a Tudor residence she and her husband, Greg, a contractor, have lovingly designed and built for their family of five—that approachable elegance is on full display. In the dining room, shiplap walls are dressed up with paneled boxes; draperies shine with a scalloped edge; and a box-pleated table skirt “adds a layer of warmth and character you can’t always get in furniture,” she says. More importantly, the pattern, a neutral damask, works year-round, allowing the red accents from this year’s holiday tabletop to strike a balance between celebratory and inviting. For this particular feast, miniature boxwood wreaths are tied to the backs of worn leather chairs with luscious silk ribbon; longleaf pinecones culled from the family farm in South Georgia hold placecards; and individually wrapped

presents are topped with acorns and cedar sprigs. Floral designer Marie-Laure Coste Dujols of Le Jardin Français fashioned the showstopping centerpiece, and it’s encircled by magnolia leaves. What makes the setting most comfortable, though, says DeLoach, is the mix. Each place setting is a mix of wedding china and estate-sale finds, while three different sets of silver, as well as a set of horn steak knives, contribute to the casual feel. “Using what you have, even if it’s not a completely perfect match,” says DeLoach, “is important and says a lot about you and your style.”

OH, WHAT FUN! Dressing down the formal dining room doesn’t have to mean sacrificing style. Bill Ingram reveals the ultimate high-low mix
A
RCHITECTS MIGHT JUST MAKE FOR the toughest real estate clients. So when Bill Ingram decided he wanted to swap his Colony Square pied à terre for a tree-lined street in Buckhead, he knew his work was cut out for him. But serendipitously, a house designed by one of the leading firms of the early 20th-century South—Pringle & Smith—caught his eye, and the architect could not ignore its tall ceilings, classic symmetry and heart-of-Buckhead location. Another bonus: The former lady of the house also possessed great taste, so it was a no-brainer to swap a pair of formal Fortuny draperies in the master bedroom with the ones in the dining room as the starting point. Painting the walls apricot and a pair of doors high-gloss black was the next order of business, and once again, rather serendipitously, a set of eight 1960s faux-bamboo Baker chairs he found on 1stDibs featured worn orange velvet cushions with tassel ties, completing the mix. In addition to his refined architectural and interior design sensibilities, Ingram is also a style ambassador for Serena & Lily. The company’s serene blue chambray tablecloth provided the perfect visual anchor for a large-scale dining table, while Serena & Lily tabletop pieces, such as the rattan Tortola lanterns and round raffia placemats, play off the natural feel of the faux-bamboo chairs and counter the formality of Ingram’s generous collection of English porcelain. 65

Ingram’s one hard-and-fast entertaining advice: Keep everyone at ease. “I’m not at ease unless everyone else is too, and when I’m around good things, that doesn’t mean they have to be stiff or too precious. That’s not comfort.” 67

Piaf, the French restaurant named for Edith Piaf, has a Four-Diamond rating by AAA and is a sexy, elegant room dressed in red with sparkling Swarovski crystal curtains. Lamb T-Bone Steak, Roasted Duck Breast and Short Rib Bourguignon are a few highlights on the Viandes et Volailles menu. Sea Scallops with Risotto and Morels, or Tarragon-Marinated Shrimp and other Poissons et Fruits de Mer cater to fish and seafood lovers. Piaf also has deliciously decadent vegetarian options. Piaf’s Executive Chef Mario Soto works alongside Chef Michel Mustiere, a distinguished member of the Maître de Cuisinier de France (Master Chefs of France; see caption on opposite page). Chef Soto is registered in the national final of Bocuse D’or, one of the most important awards in gastronomy. Attending chefs, all of whom trained at Michelin star-caliber restaurants, represented the most highly skilled in techniques and execution of the French culinary arts. SAILING THROUGH THE HEART of Burgundy, the Nenuphar makes its way from one storybook village to the next, navigating dozens of locks and taking seven days to cover less than 40 miles of canal. Along the way you’ll have ample time to relax and shake off the real world. Visits to wineries in Chablis; cathedrals in Auxerre; and postcard-perfect abbeys, châteaus and historic sites will ensure it. And if that’s not enough, the wine—from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards—and accompanying meals served on board will do the trick. The cruise begins in Paris, where you meet the rest of the group at the Hotel Regina for a motorcoach transfer to Tanlay. In Tanlay you get your first glimpse of the Nenuphar. Green and white, gleaming and pristine, it stands taller than the other boats, revealing something of the barge’s personality and purpose. Stepping from the coach into an embrace or handshake from the captain, you start to feel at home. Like the other barges in French Country Waterways’ fleet, the Nenuphar is built for intimacy and luxury. With six suites, there’s room for 12 passengers; additionally, six crew—captain, matelot (think first mate), tour guide, chef and two hostesses—live on board. Belowdecks are the six suites, each with a sizable bathroom and king or dual-twin bed. Your onboard chef prepares every meal of the week—save your visit to a Michelin-starred restaurant—from the galley. Dinner, a four-course, plated affair, lets the chef show off unforgettable recipes and techniques. In addition to two more outstanding wines and another trio of cheeses, each meal brings in regional ingredients—bought at nearby markets (you can shop with the chef at the market in Montbard)—and classic French preparations. Expect dishes like beef filet with morel mushrooms, duck breast with stone fruit, lamb, and fresh fish and desserts from the classic crêpe Suzette to fruit tarts with homemade ice cream to crème brûlée. One evening during the sailing, you’re in for a special treat as you dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant. On the Burgundy route, passengers on the Nenuphar dined at the two-star Le Relais Bernard Loiseau in Saulieu, enjoying an off-menu, three-course meal. Most passengers agree that while the service and experience there are unparalleled, the chef on board delivers meals on par with what you’ll taste on your Michelin adventure. Canal cruising can be as active as you’d like, as daily excursions to spots like Fontenay Abbey, the Grande Forge de Buffon, châteaus and wineries keep you busy. Or skip the tour and make one of your own by stepping off the boat at one of the locks and taking a walk or bike ride on the towpath beside the canal. It’s easy to outpace the barge, which goes only 2.5 miles per hour, and there are villages along the canal where you can shop in markets and patisseries, visit churches and cafes, or just explore the streets. Keep a few euros in your pocket in case you want to shop or in case you see the bakery delivery van driving around doling out hot baguettes. Sailing through the countryside at this pace gives you an excellent feel for the place and people here, but getting off the boat and onto the towpath allows you to be part of the town, at least for a little while, so taking one morning or afternoon excursion is a must. fcwl.com

Westward, Whoa!
I
T SEEMS LIKE WE JUST CELEBRATED THE FOURTH OF JULY, but it’s that time of year again, and nothing makes Southerners happier than wrapping their well thought-out gifts and planning every last detail of their long, festive holiday meals. Atlantans’ closets have, in fact, likely been stuffed for months with enough presents to blanket our families, neighbors, friends, co-workers, teachers, dog walkers and postal carriers—essentially, anyone who crosses our path throughout the year. We labor over holiday decorations and painstakingly pair just the right place settings of the special china, silver and crystal patterns we break out a few times a year. In the South, you might even say that our years could be measured in holiday meals shared with family and friends. Nevermind if it’s barely below 60 degrees. When it’s “cold” outside, Atlantans feel most festive curled up in front of the fire in our cashmere sweaters, even if our double old92
fashioned glasses aren’t the only ones breaking into a sweat. Across the country, the holidays fall during just another sunny, warm week in Los Angeles, where wood-burning fires have been outlawed due to the drought. Fir trees don’t quite stir up the same sentiment when the air conditioner is blasting, and that homemade wool ornament of a snowman just doesn’t feel right when it’s 80 degrees outside. My first holiday season in LA was plagued with frustration when I simply could not locate a boxwood wreath. I plummeted into a deep holiday depression when I realized that I did not share the city’s penchant for white, faux, prelit trees. And, while I’ve adapted to many things in Los Angeles, after attending a holiday surf party where the drinks were served in red plastic cups while Bing Crosby sang “Mele Kalikimaka,” one thing is for certain: I’m singing with Michael Bublé and Bing Crosby when I say, “I’ll be home for Christmas!”
