A QUICK NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
What's happenin', tri-state? Is your summer humming right along? Sure hope so. Pleasantries aside, before we jump into the August fray, I feel the need to offer an apology. Generally speaking, I live a life free of mistakes (apart from stretching the truth a bit) but last month I somehow forgot to mention that it was my 11-year anniversary at News 4U. Really, I'm terribly sorry; it was nothing personal. Believe me, if I could change things, I would. Though surely some of you caught the announcement of this incredible achievement on the local news - or perhaps you attended the parade downtown in my honor. But to those who were kept in the dark by my careless oversight, I sincerely apologize and assure you that I'm doing everything in my power to prevent such a thing from ever happening again. Ok, deep breath. Now on to August... Holy smokes, the concert lineup this month is totes cray-cray, as the youth like to say. In fact, it may well be the greatest in all my time at the magazine (just a reminder, it's been 11 years now), both in terms of star power and diversity. I would list all the acts coming to the tri-state over the next four-plus weeks but there's simply not room - not to mention we've conveniently put together part two of our Summer Concert Guide for your perusal so no one feels left out á la my N4U anniversary debacle (hey, I'm trying to make amends). What's that? You demand a teaser of what's in store? Well, since I let you down last month I'll give in: Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Kentucky Headhunters, The Beach Boys, In This Moment, Jelly Roll and The Gin Blossoms. Good stuff across the board. Check out all the details inside and so much more!
