PROGRAM TO NEW HEIGHTS
Atrium Health Foundation Receives Quality of Life Grant from Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation
Atrium Health Foundation has been awarded a $22,000 Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to purchase new equipment for the Adaptive Sports & Adventure Program (ASAP). Soon, athletes will be using two new tennis chairs, one rugby chair, one handcycle, four active hands, and one quick release system for the adaptive water ski program. The new equipment will allow more individuals impacted by paralysis to engage in adaptive sports across the greater Charlotte region.
“These projects represent the true essence of our Quality of Life grants program by fostering inclusion, involvement and community engagement, and promoting health and wellness for those affected by paralysis,” said Mark Bogosian, director, Quality of Life Grants Program, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
The Adaptive Sports & Adventures Program provides an opportunity for our community to live life to its fullest after a life altering condition, trauma, or disease. We are extremely grateful to have received these grants in support of the program. Such philanthropic support allows us to continue serving our community and fulfilling our mission. ”
