Transforming Levine Children’s Outpatient Services
At Atrium Health Levine Children’s, our world revolves around children.
Philanthropy has transformed the way we deliver care to young patients in our region. Since Levine Children's Hospital opened its doors in 2007, we have evolved into a destination for care. From groups partnering to bring clinical trials and heart care to Levine Children’s, to attracting a consortium that has ramped up our cancer research efforts, the community has provided unwavering support. Our infrastructure, staff, technology and research innovations all have been touched by philanthropy. Thanks to this generosity, Levine Children's continues to receive national recognition for its top-ranked pediatric care and is ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals in eight pediatric specialties.

Atrium Health has a vision to build a brighter future for health and is leading the way, investing in the care that you, your family, your friends and neighbors – all of us – hope is there when we need it. The main campus in Charlotte is already undergoing significant transformation to ensure that our patients have access to world class facilities, close to home. The master plan includes renovations to Atrium Health Levine Children’s Medical Plaza to accommodate the growing pediatric population, new programs and treatment options, and the latest technology.
Our vision to become the learning health system of the future can only be realized with our community's support. That is why we launched Giving Hope: The Campaign for Atrium Health, in 2021. Hand in hand with our partners – generous individuals, corporations, and foundations – we will continue to provide the best pediatric care for our children.
One of the newest bright spots for our children and their families will be our Levine Children’s Medical Plaza, where young patients can continue to receive coordinated, seamless specialty care – outside the hospital. This facility will feel like a home away from home There's a space for every treatment – kidney, heart, cancer, and over 30 more specialties – all in one place.
Through support from our community, we are taking children’s healthcare to a whole new level. Part of what makes our children's outpatient center so special is our coordinated approach to care, ensuring all patients and their family members have access to a wide array of services, under one roof. As a result, children spend less time in appointments and more time enjoying their childhood.
