Note from Choreographer:

We are thrilled to bring The Power of Collision to The Elevator Project. This production represents the culmination of years of exploration and experimentation in merging the worlds of dance and visual magic. The plot unfolds over the course of three acts, each one displaying a distinct use of contemporary movement and illusionism as innovative tools for story-telling. Drawing inspiration from the interplay between opposing forces, The Power of Collision delves into the intricate dynamics of human relationships, emotions, and the universal theme of transformation.

Gillian Clifford

A native of Buffalo, NY, Gillian graduated from Howard University Suma Cum Laude in 2021. Since graduating, she has performed with Company | E, Dallas Black Dance Theatre: Encore!, and is proud to be back for a second summer with The DASH Ensemble.

Destin Morisset

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Destin is a graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and currently attends Purchase College, SUNY Conservatory of Dance. He has performed works by choreographers Greg Lau, Norbert De La Cruz III, Jesse Obremski, Jie-hung Connie Shiau, LAJAMARTIN, and more. Destin is currently a dancer for The DASH Ensemble founded by Gregory Dolbashian and located in Dallas, TX.

Carly Olson

Carly Olson is a current resident of Dallas, TX, and received her BFA in dance, a BA in Arts Management and a Minor in Psychology at Purchase College SUNY. This is Carly’s first year with The DASH Ensemble and she is incredibly excited to make her show debut! You can find more information on Carly at her website: www.carlyolson.com

Stephon Williams

Stephon Williams is a New York City-based dancer/ choreographer. He earned his degree in dance performance and choreography from Potsdam SUNY. Performance experience includes the American Dance Festival, Paramore at Madison Square Garden, and twenty one pilots on Late Night with Seth Myers . Stephon is currently a freelance dancer with The DASH Ensemble.

Maddie Hanson

Canadian dance artist Maddie Hanson was accepted to The Juilliard School in New York at the age of 16, graduated in 2019, and received a Master’s Degree in Business from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2022. Repertory experience includes Jiří Pokorný, Peter Chu, David Shimotakahara, Stefanie Batten Bland, Roy Assaf, Crystal Pite, RUBBERBANDance Group, GroundWorks Dance Theater, and The DASH Ensemble. Carlos Franquiz

Juan Carlos Franquiz II was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Carlos is an alumnus of the Joffrey Dance Academy - Fort Hamilton High School and MOVE |NYC|’s Young Professionals Program. A recent graduate from the Purchase College, SUNY Conservatory of Dance, he has performed in works by Bill T. Jones, MICHIYAYA Dance, and Jie-hung Connie Shiau. Carlos is excited to join The DASH Ensemble for a third season.

Rush Carson2023 The DASH Ensemble Collaborator

Hailing from Florida, Rush Carson is currently a dance major at Purchase College, SUNY Conservatory of Dance and is a Young Arts Winner in the category of Choreography. Rush has been a key collaborator in this process as a composer of music and sound.

Gregory Dolbashian -

Founder and Artistic Director of The DASH Ensemble

Gregory Dolbashian graduated from Purchase College, SUNY Conservatory of Dance. He debuted The DASH Ensemble in 2010. Performances include The Joyce Theater and more. Gregory is the co-founder of The Playground NYC,

Lindsey PettusManaging Director of The DASH Ensemble

A Dallas native, Lindsey graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in child development and education. Co-founder of The DASH Academy and managing director of The DASH Ensemble, Lindsey directs the children’s program for Adrenaline/Revive Dance Convention and Competition. Named one of Dallas’ 2022 Super Women of the Month by Dallas’ Women in the Know, Lindsey coaches mindfulness for young athletes in studios and colleges around the country. Christopher RalphAssociate Artistic Director

Christopher was born and raised in Long Island, N.Y. In 2005, Christopher attended Purchase College, SUNY Conservatory of Dance to complete his B.F.A in dance. Christopher Ralph has performed works by Aszure Barton, Lauri Stallings, Loni Landon, Doug Varone, and is a founding collaborator of The DASH Ensemble. He has performed and toured in many countries throughout his career including, Greece, Indonesia, London, Spain, Japan and China.
