DANCE DAY Date: Saturday 29 April 2017 Time: 3pm-9pm Location: James Street Amphitheatre, Perth Cultural Centre DANCE DAY is the official launch event to celebrate Australian Dance Week in WA. This year, DANCE DAY falls on International Dance Day, and combines two classic Ausdance WA events – Dance Live and Trigger. Dance Live 3-5pm A FREE dance performance extravaganza, showcasing multiple dance styles, performers of all ages and both professional and non-professional dancers. Multicultural and family-focussed, Dance Live delights audiences with a vibrant program and the chance to learn some moves, get up and celebrate! Trigger 5-9pm Essentially a dance-karaoke jam, Trigger lets you nominate the playlist and uses interactive software to project your grooving body live onto the LED screen in a variety of animated forms. Featuring live performances by Perth’s urban dance community, we encourage both trained and untrained bodies to get up and dance while watching their ‘avatar’ selves on the big screen.
