We had a Cabinet Meeting where the Slate of Candidates was presented.

Lion Bonnie and I were able to go to the Daytona 500 and the weather was great and the race was awesome.

Lion Bonnie and I attended a Governors Night with Oak Lawn, Burbank, Bridgeview, Chicago Ridge and Mt. Greenwood. I was able to swear in a new Burbank member.

We attended the District 1A Bowling Tournament, we all had a great time, there was split the pot and many raffles. Leilanie Magana did a wonderful job setting up this District event and I would like to thank all of the volunteers.

The Jose Rizal Lions Club had a Governors night that I attended, where I swore in 5 new members.

Global Membership Approach

We continue our new year a plus in membership. We added 218 new members to clubs, while losing 139 members from clubs. We added 22 by transferring or reinstating members, we also lost 19 to deaths. We sit at a plus 79 for March 1st. All in All, February was a good month for membership. But, membership plus and minus numbers are reflected in the month reported. We had 7 deceased Lions reported, sadly 6 of these Lions didn’t even die this Lion Year. If a member is not in your club any more for whatever reason. You need drop them from your club membership. These

Lions had their dues being paid by the clubs and they were long gone… Not a good practice.

Membership Development &Club Rebuilding:

We have started some community outreach to leaders in the Garfield Ridge, Archer Heights and Clearing communities of Chicago. If you have any family or friends in that area that you think would make good Lions please send their contact information to: jointhelionstoday@gmail.com. We have some interest, we need to get them together so we can organize. But as always, we will follow any leads that might help us develop an area. Don’t hesitate to pass on any information you might have about starting a club.

Fortheclubs,notmeetingyet.Whatcanwedotoassistyoutoengage again?

Member Satisfaction: We should all be working together on membership satisfaction!

Members join your club to work together and make a difference in your service area. If they don’t feel welcome, don’t feel their opinion matters, they don’t see any services performed, then your not fulfilling your part of the oath.

Together we can strengthen our clubs. Stronger clubs provide more service. Clubs growing and providing more service, Strengthens our District and Lions International. TogetherWeCan!
