NATIONAL Carers Week 2021
National Carers Week will be celebrated from 10-16 October. This annual event is a time for all Australians to recognise and celebrate the important contributions the 2.65 million carers around the country make to their families and community. This year’s theme “Millions of reasons to care” will highlight the diversity of carers and their caring roles and is an opportunity to raise community awareness among all Australians. Carers Victoria will be celebrating National Carers Week with numerous great events. On Sunday 10 October we’ll be kicking off the week with a family-friendly online event for Carers Victoria members.
As all members of our community, Carers Victoria is challenged with the constant changes and developments with lockdowns. Creating events to suit and support carers is something the organisation prioritises. By creating different themes and sessions to suit carers means our events can continue to provide the chance to take a break, meet other carers and get information about services and support.
