EDITOR'S NOTE I felt very compelled to launch this issue and showcase 20 remarkable women who are not TikTok or Instagram famous, but famous for their expertise and the impact they are creating in the world. These are the women, I want to hang out with for a week on a deserted beach, sitting around a campfire and share stories and wisdom. Every woman on the front cover has a story to tell. The goal of this issue is to demonstrate that within each one of these women lies a combination of success, motherhood, leadership, failure, authority, shame, insecurity, love, passion, commitment, dedication, loss and most of all a burning mission. There is no fame or influence. These are real women, like you, who have walked the road less travelled, the true hero’s journey and it is my privilege and honour to introduce you to them.

For me, the only way to create change in the world is one person at a time. This is why I am so passionate about educating humans that their knowledge, wisdom and skill is the true currency. It’s the highest energy exchange, it never depreciates in value and it’s always with you. When humanity can fathom the power of their own currency, this is when true change will happen. International Women’s Day is not just a 24-hour celebration. It has a different meaning for each woman. For me, it’s about the possibilities of possibilities. It’s the potential that lies within me and my journey toward self-mastery. March also celebrates Women’s History Month to honour the generations of courageous women and girls who have contributed to their nations in so many ways. I would like to honour all generations of women, young and old who have made a positive impact to humanity that has helped move us forward.
My hope for 2022 is to see a world less divided, more tolerant and raise consciousness at a much higher level so we can all live in peace and harmony. That starts in you. Thank you to the content contributors who have created stellar articles this month. You are so appreciated. Please provide us feedback on topics you would like us to cover in the magazine. We would love to hear from you. Mary x

I believe a business is a direct representation of the individual driving it. When she thrives, so does her business, so does her community, so does the economy. The ripple effect is endless.
During that time, Sarah, a mother of 5, always was time poor and had low energy to cook. Trying to juggle all this responsibility of business and a large family, she relied on fast food up to 3 times a day. We managed to intercept this downward cycle by giving herself permission to take time out as her business was systemised which allowed more time to feel organised. Having more time allowed her to fall back in love with cooking. Not to mention drop a staggering amount of weight from this one tweak.
How are you making a difference to the people you serve? My clients first come to me for sales growth. Many are seasoned business women who are ready to scale. They’re hungry to improve their sales growth, from conversions to systemising their sales to growing a sales team. Quickly, they realise it’s just as much an inner game as an outer game. So I help them with both. Systemising their sales processes to enable scale and growth, whilst also having them focus on investing time back into their own wellbeing. The best way to share the difference I’ve witnessed is through a snapshot of clients results; Amanda’s revenue plummeted to $70K a year through her burnout stage. In a short 6mth of working together her average revenue skyrocketed to $112k a month, while actually reducing her to a 4 day work week to fulfil a lifelong goal of owning a horse and riding it every friday. I witnessed over the years. If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? More women making global decisions. The more women we have in powerful leadership positions globally, the quicker we will put to an end the old patriarchal structures such as global control and separation. I believe it will stop the greed & dishonesty that is being fed through mainstream media and politics. I believe having more women at the top, being involved in decision making, will create more harmony, connection and love for humanity. What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022? 1.Switch off 100% from mainstream media. It is full of negativity, it purley thrives on producing fear. Instead, use that time to listen to things that totally uplift you or educate yourself on things that will help you grow into the next best version of yourself. Listen to a great podcast, read books, grab pen & paper to continually journal your goals, ideas and thoughts. Make the conscious decision to fill up your cup with only positive information that will lift your vibration so high, that you are the happiest person you know! 2.Move daily. It's your life-force think of it as electricity. The more you move the more power you have. A 20min walk, gardening, dancing, biking and if you have an injury, find out ways to move your body that can work around this and doesn't do

damage…just find something. I had a back injury which lead to 14mth of hardcore rehab. My hips were strapped and I wasn't allowed to move them. Knowing that movement equals happiness, I promised myself I’d kept my morning fitness routine by just doing what I can….upper body exercises. Understanding movement is important for mental health, personal performance and happiness; find something that you love to do and make it a non negotiable. 3. Learn how to make money. Ask yourself, “If you had everything stripped away from you today, could you still make money?” Money doesn’t make you happy but it sure helps you live a life of choice ( e.g. better education for your children, healthier food supplies, medical insurance the list goes on) In business money is the life force of its success. I encourage every business owner to learn how to sell (with integrity) and then learn how to systemise it so you can grow your team to sell as good as you (to ensure you have a business not just bought yourself a job). Finally once you know how to make it, learn how to grow it.

The key to this world lies in the power of the heart and human consciousness. How are you making a difference to the people you serve? This I don’t know. I work for 1600 people within the VaynerX ecosystem, partnering with Gary Vaynerchuk to create the greatest culture for our people to thrive in and evolve people into the best leaders possible! I am an Optimistic Rebel. An Optimistic Rebel takes active risks so that others can benefit, challenges assumptions and acknowledges challenges, expresses emotions and allows others to express theirs, too. An Optimistic Rebel roots for the underdog, cheers others on. An Optimistic Rebel takes care of themselves in order to take care of others. The Optimist is positive, but often does not take action. A cheery outlook is not enough: it needs to be attached to something that impacts others, that has forward movement, that helps you create a different environment. If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? A waking up to tenderness with more emotional courage so that we may all feel safe and strong enough to walk across the bridge and join hands with others. What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022? 1.Know, trust, and value yourself. Be of service to yourself so that you can be of service to others. This took me years to learn, but is behind everything I do today. 2.It’s not work versus life, it’s just life, and work is part of life. Everyone has the right to be who they are in all parts of their life. I think back to one job I had where I was surrounded by people making homophobic comments, forcing me to hide the fact that I was gay. Your work should be part of your life. 3.We is more important than I. My favorite fictional football coach, Ted Lasso, succeeded because HE wasn't in it to make himself look good. He was in it for this team of underdogs to see themselves in a different light. No one works solo anymore. Everyone works with other people. The smartest person in the room is never me, or you. It’s all of us together.

What is your specialisation and who do you serve? I am a business & Leadership Coach and the founder of Mentor Me Women. I encourage women globally to have the confidence to believe in themselves, their ability, share their

Based on my 30 years in fashion retail, and 13 years at the helm of two iconic fashion brands, I encourages organisations and leaders, both men and women to strive for a ‘new era’ of leadership: one where we lead with kindness, trust, self-awareness, authenticity, and one that puts people at the heart of everything they do, and one that embraces more women at the helm. She is passionate about creating a world where people feel more confident to live each day with clarity and purpose and where organisations thrive through the way they lead.

You can become the leader you want to be, the leader you wanted to have, and a leader people choose to follow. In my book Leader By Design I share my story of finishing school at 16 to building my career from the ground up to becoming one of Australia’s inspiring female CEO’s. My story underpins my message that anything is possible if you are passionate, work hard and believe in yourself. Leader By Design is part autobiography where I share my life journey including how my upbringing shaped the women and leader I am today and how I almost threw it all away when I hit burnout. I encourage women and leaders to live with purpose, find their superpower, change the rules How are you making a difference to the people you serve? Now more than ever, it’s crucial for women to support each other. Together we can create change, bring about equality and help women flourish in all aspects of their lives – not just in their careers. As human beings, we’re inspired by other people’s stories of adversity, accomplishment, fear, and failure. It is through these stories that we connect, learn, and grow, which is why I am now sharing my story in the hope that I inspire others. Lifting women up, giving them a voice, building confidence, and encouraging each other to reach our full potential is the way we will drive meaningful and lasting change. I am always inspired by women supporting women, and it is what I have always tried to do – not only as a CEO, but also in my everyday life

I also strongly believe the next generation of young women must have strong role models and mentors to look up to, women who are supportive, nurturing, changemakers, and women who show them that it is possible to break through glass ceilings not only in their careers but also in so many areas of their lives. Having positive, fierce, intelligent, kind women making change in the world sends a message of empowerment and paves the way for the next generation to believe their opportunities are limitless. If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? To create a world where we live and lead with kindness. Kindness isn’t the first word that comes to mind when you think about great leadership, right? Well, I challenge that thought. I strongly believe that leading with kindness is what will separate good leaders from great leaders of the future. I believe that kindness is a superpower and one of the reasons we need more female leaders. Kindness is also a new and powerful currency that can be traded for high performance, loyalty, and commitment. You may have heard of, or worse, experienced first-hand situations of bullying, intimidation or dealing with difficult people in the workplace. This behaviour can be very destructive to both people and organisations. Unfortunately, these are issues that have been around for a long time and will only continue until leaders step up and start leading with kindness and compassion.
COVER
The ‘old era’ of leadership was about status, title, power, dictatorship and having people do what you say. The ‘new era’ of leadership is about kindness, compassion, authenticity, collaboration, and trust – and being a leader people choose to follow. Kindness starts at the top and is one of my values when it comes to the way I lead and live my life. What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022? Success means different things to different people. For some people success is money, for some it’s freedom, for some it’s winning a gold medal or climbing Mt Everest, and for others it’s power. For me success is about leaving this planet better than I found it. For me success is about changing the rules, closing the gender pay gap, increasing the number of women in leadership and CEO positions and embracing inclusivity and diversity in all areas of our lives. Success is creating a platform for women to share their voice; it’s about being a circuit breaker for change and paving the way for the next generation of female leaders. Success for me also starts in the home. Bringing 3 beautiful humans into this world means I get to help them shape their values, find their purpose, and grow and evolve into wonderful caring and compassionate human beings so that they too can make a positive impact on those around them through their passions.

3 recommendations for success in 2022: 1.Success starts with selfawareness. When I think about all the successful people I know, there is one thing they all have in common: self – awareness. No matter where you are on your leadership or life journey success starts with you. 70% of leadership is the way you lead yourself. How well you know yourself, your values, and your purpose. These are the foundations of success, and it’s only when these foundations are solid that you can build structure and disciplines into your life, set goals and boundaries, and create a clear vision for what you want for you future and a pathway to success. 2.Success is understanding that people are your biggest asset. As a CEO I have always aimed to create environments where people feel connected, where their work matters, where they can contribute and feel part of something greater than just the seat they sit in. In my experience when people feel valued, trusted, and empowered, that’s when the magic happens, that’s when success find you! We live in a profit driven world – sales, margins, market share, shareholder return, revenue, performance, and profit, which are all essential for organisations to reinvest, innovate and grow. However, an area that is often overlooked and one you’re not going to find on a spread sheet…is people! What would happen if we changed the emphasis from profit, to people with purpose and passion? To me, these characteristics are the foundations for creating organisations that will not only survive but thrive in the future. To me, people with purpose and passion equals success.

The best way to cut through the noise, get seen and heard by key decision-makers, and confidently compete for highly coveted roles is to understand what makes us unique and to believe in our own value proposition. Many people believe their story is too complex and full of disparate information that is difficult to explain. However, this is often not the case. I’ve honed the ability to tease out what makes each person unique as a “business solution” and create their customized narrative so decision-makers take notice. Helping clients stitch together the “who and why” with “what and how” led me to found my own company, Gina Riley Consulting, and develop the Career Velocity™ System, a comprehensive approach to managing successful career transitions. My proven method helps my clients gain self-awareness so they can clearly articulate their unique value proposition. I am incredibly honored to work with people who bring their true, raw selves to the process and entrust me to do this work with them.

if with others clearly and confidently as much of the time as possible. To say what I mean and mean what I say. To help people feel confident, free to speak their truth, and to be in touch with who they are so they connect meaningfully with others. How are you making a difference to the people you serve? The difference I am making is in how people see themselves, moving from feeling like “everybody else” to believing in and owning their uniqueness. Some of leaders I work with get very emotional at the beginning of our engagement when we start with the YouMap® debrief and I read back a synthesis of how they show up in the world. The power of unlocking and being able to explain who you are and how you show up in the world cannot be overstated. I hold up a mirror and create space for my clients to settle in with how they will talk about themselves with authenticity and humility. I like to think I help people feel confident and proud about who they’ve become!
What do you stand for? When I was growing up, I did not feel free to speak my truth. I felt a part of me was tamped down, hidden, and misunderstood. This made me feel small and unable to reach my full potential. The springboard to my vocation happened in high school and college when I was fortunate to work with top leadership and personal development trainers who equipped me with models of communicating and relationship building that work.
If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? In the US, I think we’d see great improvements in people’s long-term happiness as well as emotional and material success if we made it mandatory to include basic, practical coursework on communication skills as a part of our high school curriculum. The same can be said for financial planning skills. This complete lack in our system hurts all of us at every level. Imagine what could be different if this was meaningfully addressed?
If I strip down to the core of what I am built to do in this world, it is to role model how to communicate
What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022?

1.Unique Value Proposition Understanding what makes you unique and special is critical to confidence and long-term success. I work with people in their 40’s and beyond who are stuck at this foundational step. If you can’t articulate your awesome sauce, how will you be able to explain yourself when it really counts? I highly recommend using the YouMap® Career Profile Assessment or at least StrengthsFinder as a starting point. Then, test it and adjust as you receive feedback. 2.Target, Plan, Goal Setting What do you want in your personal and professional life? Identify and write down specific words that capture what is important to you. Use this to create a target, then a plan to achieve your goals. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I believe in this process so much; I created a free webinar located on my website, with a workbook, that anyone can use to help plan out their career transition process. 3.Network Networking for the purpose of building meaningful professional relationships is a skill we are not taught in school. If this makes you uncomfortable, take baby steps! Set reasonable goals to authentically expand your network. We don’t go through this life alone. Much of our success depends on the strength of our network. I like to say that I stand on the shoulders of some terrific mentors, friends, and family who’ve helped me achieve my success.

If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? Love. It’s really that simple. If people can hate for no reason than people can love for no reason. That is the change I wish to see in the world. People acting from a place of love.
Jacqueline Way Your LinkedIn Profile Link: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jacqueli ne-way-365give/ Do you have a book/podcast TED Talk - How to Be Happy Every Day: It Will Change the World https://youtu.be/78nsxRxbf4w Website - https://www.365give.ca/ What is your specialisation and who do you serve? I am dedicated world changer. My soul purpose is to teach, inspire and empower the hearts and minds of people globally to create a happier, healthier world together. I express my purpose through my global giving movement 365give. What do you stand for? “Our lives have to be our message” Thich Nhat Hanh. In a world we can be anything, but for me, I passionately stand for love, peace and compassion. I don’t just stand for these words I am these words and practice them in my life every
day. My simple wish is when I stand in these words it allows others to do the same. I truly believe that the common thread that runs through every human being is love. In this belief I start me day with the simple intention of how can I be love for another today? How can I give love freely to everyone I touch today? How are you making a difference to the people you serve? I had to think about this question for the soul reason that it has changed over the years. When I started 365give I thought I was making a difference by empowering others globally to change the world. What I have come to learn in teaching and inspiring others to give is it literally changes them. It increases their physical and mental health; it increases their well-being and brings purpose to their lives. When we change ourselves everything around us changes. It takes love from our hearts and puts it into our hands to take action in our world. That makes a difference to everyone.
What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022? 1.Start with Happy. We have it backwards. We think we will be happy when we become successful, but we are wrong. A happy brain helps you obtain success. Research proves this. When we focus on our happiness, we are less stressed, more productive, more resilient, more creative, more intelligent, physical health increases and mental health increases. The list goes on. It just more of everything that’s good! 2.Purpose and Meaning. One of the key pillars of well-being is having a life with purpose and meaning. Knowing that why you are here in the life mans something. So, no matter what you do for a living make giving part of it. Join CSR programs at work or create one. Take time to volunteer, use your skills for those that need them. It will not only change the world around you it will change you and most of all make you happy. (go back to #1 for the benefits of happiness) 3.Connection Social connection is the single most important path to success. Know you are connected to others and not alone in this big world. It takes us right back to answer number #1. Social connection makes us happy and feel loved. When we feel love we can give love. AUTHORITTI5.0 MAGAZINE

This is one of my favourite poems that touches on what I stand for as a parent:
Our Children Poem Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

To successfully realize business goals, it is essential to understand and come to terms with your true self, just as I have. If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? Education. Knowledge is power. People have problems not because they want them, but because they are not aware of how to avoid it or deal with it. I strongly believe, if humans will start consistently investing in self-education, they will dramatically change the quality of their life. Education is the most powerful instrument that truly can change this world. What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022? Number one is to decide. By the word “decide” I mean decide point blank, till the chemistry in your cells change. When it comes to goal achieving, there are many books written, however, it all comes to make a firm decision. The second is focus. The major issue is not lack of time, but lack of focus. Focus on what matters. The third one is to commit to work hard. Realise that there are no short cuts. Working minimum hours and become successful is a myth. To become truly outstanding at what you do and win you have to become desperate. So desperate so that you can be ready to take whatever it requires for the sake of your success. Those who understand this mechanism can truly reap big rewards.

I believe in positive intent, that we are all doing the best we can do with the knowledge that we have. Therefore, by giving organizational leadership knowledge, tools and awareness of what empowering communication and listening can do for overall wellbeing, productivity and engagement within the organization, leaders are empowered to create healthier work environments. My mission to help create healthier work environments through the process of coaching was greatly impacted when I was invited to join the faculty in the Executive Coaching program that I attended. My weekly podcast, The STaR Coach Show, is designed to help coaches bring the impact of the coaching process into the world by building and keeping skills strong, by having thriving businesses so that they can raise the visibility of coaching and broaden their reach and to create an awareness of what coaching can do to build stronger leaders and healthier organizations. My STaR Coach membership community and STaR Coach Mastery Program both offer coaches places to level up their skills and business success. If there was one change you hope to see in the world, what would it be? I would love to see more tolerance, connection and love rather than hate, intolerance and prejudice.
I stand for more openness, curiosity, deep listening and connecting with others, this is what coaching is all about. When we are more open to explore and curious to learn, we are less likely to make decisions out of assumption.
What are 3 things that you recommend people do to reach success in 2022? 1.Show up, do not be your own best kept secret. We are blessed to have many different platforms to choose from, if one doesn’t fit, what does?blogging, social media, live videos, podcasts, etc. Build your message, credibility and your voice by showing up consistently. The goal is not perfection, it is showing up.
How are you making a difference to the people you serve? I have the opportunity to work with leaders and leadership teams across the country to help them use coaching principles in their leadership style. This creates more open communication, clarity and collaboration.
2.Share from what you experience, every day there are things that you experience that you can teach from. A disappointment, something you hear on the radio, a success, a quote, see your day through the lens of what can I share from my own experience, it will make you relatable and human.

How are you making a difference to the people you serve? I serve a range of food businesses, from start-ups to million-dollar exporters. For young and small food

Getting Your Organizational Structure Right To Scale Business Growth By John Knotts

MARCH 2022

“Form ever follows function,” was a phrase coined by a young architect, by the name of Frank Lloyd Wright. It is an architectural principle that establishes that a building’s purpose should be the starting point for its design rather than its aesthetics. This was termed, “functionalism.” This concept is also true in business when it comes to an organization’s structure. Organizational structure is a hierarchy that defines how activities such as task allocation, coordination, and supervision are directed toward the achievement of organizational aims. Last month, as part of my Grow, Scale, and Improve Your Business column, I discussed building and adjusting your business operating model as the second step in scaling your business to meet its growth. With that operating model in place, you organize around it. Many businesses of all sizes and types tend to organize around its people. They give a person a job, versus create a job and then find the right person for that job. This often leads to an organizational structure that supports certain leaders in the business but does not support the operating model. When these two do not support each other, the business introduces ineffectiveness and inefficiencies into the operation. If there is no defined operating model in place, then the business is simply
GROWING, SCALING AND IMPROVING YOUR BUSINESS
guessing at its organizational structure. To put it bluntly, if your organization is not organized correctly this will cause problems and cause waste. The organizational structure also affects organizational action and provides the foundation on which standard operating procedures and routines rest. This is known as your business operating system, which I will address next month. Execution and Control When it comes to an organization’s structure, two factors must be considered first: Execution and Control. These are very important to the overall operation and need to be understood and defined. Each factor is either Centralized or Decentralized in the structure. Execution means the work being accomplished or getting done, while control means the work being managed, overseen, and controlled. Centralized means to organize in one central organization, while decentralized means to allow it to occur throughout your organization. The US military, as an example, operates through centralized control and decentralized execution. When designing your organization, you must determine how each function will be controlled and executed. This may not

seem like an important discussion, but if you get it wrong, you could create a great deal of waste in your organization. Typically, this waste takes the form of functional duplication. It also can cause strife and confusion in an organization. Consider the sales function in your company. Normally, sales are centrally controlled and executed within the sales team. What would happen if the sales team centrally controlled the sales function, but decentralized sales across the entire company? Better yet, what would happen if sales’ control and execution were both decentralized across the company? The bigger the company, the more important this discussion. Working with enterprise-sized companies, with thousands to hundreds of thousands of employees, this becomes a major issue.
GROWING, SCALING AND IMPROVING YOUR BUSINESS
month’s article. If the business model becomes more complex, you need to start thinking about divisional approaches. Divisions are normally designed to support a product, geography, or specific customer segment. Divisions are multi-functional teams that operate together in support of the thing they are designed to support. You could consider both functional and divisional designs in your organization, but this can create functional duplication and create silo-wars in your company. One organizational design that works well but can be difficult to manage is the matrix. Not the Keanu Reeves kind. A matrix is an organizational structure where the control is centralized in functional organizations and the execution is decentralized into divisional teams.
Design Hierarchy The second consideration in your organizational structure is how it is designed – functional, divisional, or matrixed. A functional design follows the traditional structure that most people are used to. This design is made up of traditional departments of things like finance, human resources, sales, marketing, technology, operations, etc. This design works well when your business has a simple operating model, as explained in my last
The third component to consider in your organizational structure is what the hierarchy looks like. Some companies have a very flat organization, while others look like a Christmas tree. These structure decisions are also based on control and execution. They are typically influenced by the people in the organization, or at least the people you want in the organization. The more selfmanaged your people are, the flatter the

I've met a lot of people over the years in coaching, speaking, consulting, and just plain traveling. And I can't keep all the faces, names, and places straight-- can you?
I can see when she and I taught at the Growth Marketing Workshop in San Francisco in 2018. Or when we were eating donuts at Infusionsoft HQ on August 3rd, 2014.
This is key to developing key relationships, getting clients, and becoming better known in our own industry. But I don't have time to categorize photos, upload stuff to shared drives, hire freelancers to organize stuff, edit videos for a speaker reel, build my website (aren't we all guilty?), and publish content.
Because all this is instantly at my fingertips, I went ahead and wrote an article honoring her (12 Things You Didn't Know About Heather Dopson). Took me 7 minutes, since I had everything already made for me. There are snippets of her speaking, which Google automatically assembled into a speaker reel for her-- a nice gift that I gave her that cost me zero dollars and zero time.
Enter Google Photos, which is an incredible free tool (you can pay more for storage). All the pictures and videos on my phone automatically sync to Google Photos without me having to do anything. I can choose to have it upload only when I'm connected to wifi. And most importantly, it automatically tags the people, places, things, and activities, so that I or a team members can readily retrieve anything they want. Let's say that I want to reach out to Heather Dopson-- who ran social at GoDaddy, and before at Infusionsoft. Because I've identified her once before, all the moments we've had together are tagged: https://capture.dropbox.com/3ZbD9aQM F05tAbjx?src=ss
As coaches, we get clients because of our authority--- which comes from thought leadership, referrals, and industry connections. I use Google Photos as my secret weapon to organize and amplify my authority. Now I do a search in Google Photos for my friend, Aniko Brown, and Kuala Lumpur: https://capture.dropbox.com/ISEATStW9 hTvyKQO?src=ss And it pulls up pictures of me and her in front of the Petronas Towers, which used to be the tallest building in the world a few years ago. And I'm reminded of when we had the honor of meeting the queen-feasting on food for hours, singing karaoke with the royal family until 2 am. Whenever I have a writer's block, I open

But since Google isn't perfect, it categorized a squirrel as a kangaroo. Speaking of Australia, I pull up a video of me interviewing Dr. Karen Sutherland, who teaches social media at the University of the Sunshine Coast: https://capture.dropbox.com/5PdBSlIqya nosHFy?src=ss She's talking about how hundreds of her students adopt local businesses as clients while getting class credit. They're recording their One Minute Videos and running our Dollar A Day strategy to drive more sales. This is hands-on experience for students to truly learn social media, develop communication skills, and generate employment opportunities. I see some behind the scenes pictures that I can use to spice up a post on the Fiverr blog-- something I would have totally forgotten about if I didn't have Google Photos. You know what's crazy? I built the internal analytics at Yahoo! over 20 years ago, yet we're using Google products today. It's when my very own team members were saying to just "Google it" that I knew something wasn't quite right. I feel like a former Honda employee that is praising Toyota products for how reliable they are. But here we are-- growing our brands in this weird new world. Building connections. Publishing content that drives us more potential calls that turn into coaching clients or speaking engagement. I use Google Photos as one of the SECRET WEAPONS in my arsenal to build my personal brand. Some pro tips: Pay the $10 a month (or whatever it is in your country) to get more storage. Get the latest iPhone with the nicest camera--- it's worth it, just to capture a few of those priceless moments. This mentality influenced many life decisions including why I chose computer engineering as my major. While I was contemplating this choice, I was told I didn't “look like an engineer.” What this person didn’t know was that I was renting a room from an Asian woman who was not only an engineering manager at Microsoft but a single mom to three kids! By seeing someone who looked like me do so much with her Engineering degree, it inspired me to follow her on that path.
The north star of my career has been finding or creating environments where I can continuously grow, improve and evolve. AUTHORITTI5.0 MAGAZINE

When you grow up without the comfort of fitting in, obstacles become part of the path to any goal. I got comfortable with taking risks and dreaming bigger than I “should.” The struggle for each win helped reframe my relationship with failure and rejection as part of the journey to reach important goals. With each setback, I looked for ways to create opportunities, such as investing in the coursework needed to stand out or exploring alternatives that got me to my intended goal. For example, after getting rejected for my first (retail) sales job because I was an engineering student with no sales experience, I immediately drove to a different location to apply and ended up being one of the top salespeople. Despite the obstacles, how have you maintained a positive career trajectory?
It boils down to having a clear understanding of what's most interesting for me, so the pursuit is energizing. This approach has allowed me to show up with caring and authenticity while blending my technical skills and soft skills. Even with clarity and due diligence, each role has been a mutual leap of faith - sometimes that means I am betting on a company and other times I am betting on myself. In the end it has been about creating environments where I’m inspired to care radically, the goals are clear, and I’ve built feedback loops for my teams and I to do our best work. It seems like you have a fastidious way of structuring what you do to achieve your goals. What is one of the best things you’ve implemented that has moved your career forward?

There can be an urge to “do it all,” so I have found consistent success through discipline and patience. It takes discipline to focus on a few vital items and patience to cultivate the outcomes from that discipline. By accepting rejection as part of the process and a form of progress, I’m able to focus on the elements within my control. Earlier in my career, I was an Account Development Representative, aka ADR. Anyone who has done outbound selling can attest to the fortitude it builds when you get rejected all day in different ways and rally for the next call. So, I focused on the elements I controlled – my preparation, the minimum number of connections I would make each day, and consistently following up. I also apply this discipline and patience to new opportunities, whether I'm actively looking or if I get tapped on the shoulder. First, I ask “Am I running towards something? Or, running away?” Having an honest conversation is critical because I didn’t want to run away from a bad situation to something that is as bad

(or worse) and further my frustrations and stifle my confidence. There is a great quote by the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, “If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” Having a good system allows me to focus and celebrate the progress that is within my control. When you can track your progress and keep yourself accountable, you can celebrate the progress in knowing that you're doing everything you can to move yourself forward. And the harder you work the luckier you’ll seem to get! Did you ever feel like you were stuck in your career or struggled to get to the next level and how did you overcome it? Over the years, I would often be the “only” in the room - only woman, only person of color, noticeably younger, etc. To add insult to injury, I’d also see peers with negative customer feedback and dishonest behaviors getting promoted because of their personal relationships with powerful executives. For years, I leaned into my work ethic to unstick myself until I finally realized I was playing by the wrong set of rules. Hard work and effort worked in school but was not enough in this corporate world. After recognizing the limits of my environment, I went back to my systems and frameworks to establish a clear vision of what good looks like and found a better fit with a hyper-growth startup. to my values, I was engaged and inspired to leverage and amplify my strengths and energy to do my best work. With the Great Resignation and the evolution of the future of work, companies will need to meet a rising bar where more employees are asking the question, “Is it me or is this company not a good fit?” Many people wait to be recognized and plucked from obscurity for their next, best job. How did you get “found”? Was it the right place at the right time? How did you get “in the line of sight” for your VP jobs? There are different ways this can happen based on - Who knows you? Do they know what problems you can tackle? Are they in the rooms where these opportunities come up? To improve your chances to be considered, make your own luck through consistent engagement with your industry (preparation + opportunity). By showing up for my team, various communities, and openly sharing the lessons I’ve learned, I created connections that feel more organic and less transactional. Another unexpected avenue based on consistent engagement is previous direct reports. I’ve had people refer me when their company was looking for a new leader because they wanted to work for me again. Folks will often look to senior leaders for opportunities, but this 360 technique is a highly effective method to add to your approach. You are the first person in this series that has brought up a 360degree perspective of having a previous direct report think of you when an opportunity comes up. There could be an exciting job out there where you get to work with people you previously mentored, guided, and coached.
One thing you've done beautifully is carve a path of thought leadership around yourself by building a website that served as a hub of information for people in your budding field. Surprisingly, my decision to build the PictureCS website was not with the goal of being a thought leader. I started it because I had a need and that's why it resonated with others looking to better understand Customer Success too. Analyzing what people tried, what worked, and what didn’t was a time-consuming endeavor and I wanted to make it easier for others by sharing what I was learning in a visual, concise format. I had fun doing it! I still remember the excitement I felt when a Customer Success leader (in Canada) told me they printed out every single one of the infographics and had it on their office wall for their teams to reference. In following my philosophy of staying curious, growing, being generous, this website developed its own energy and created meaningful relationships for me with the customer success and customer experience industry. What are some of the surprising experiences that informed where you are today which people might not expect to hear? Growing up, I saw my parents and their friends carve different paths to success and realized there wasn’t “one way” to get there. But everyone who made it worked AUTHORITTI5.0 MAGAZINE

tirelessly with a single-minded focus on reaching their goals. This commitment became part of my core and influenced my decisions including the amount of work I took on while I was a full-time student pursuing my Computer Engineering degree. With supportive parents who helped where they could, I was able to double-down with determination and managed four part-time jobs. Between classes MF, I worked in the IT department and was a campus ambassador for Nortel networks. After work and on the weekends, I had my job in retail and Saturday mornings I worked as a dental office assistant. Juggling those experiences is not something I would recommend for everybody, but it informed how I wanted to work, taught me about boundaries and ruthless prioritization, and helped me get to where I am today. Do you feel like you created a “pull strategy”? Instead of a pull strategy, I aim to create a flywheel of opportunities for myself and others. At this point, I am introduced to more opportunities than I can, or would want to, explore so I look to make introductions where it makes sense. In addition to connecting my network to opportunities, I’m also intentional about making personal connections by sending cards to thank the dozens of people for the direct and positive impact they’ve had on me during the year. While it takes hours to customize each one, it was important for me to do that. Even if I don’t hear back, I do it because I want to them to know the ripple effect of their effort and it might be the bright spot in their

FOR YEARS, I LEANED INTO MY WORK ETHIC TO UNSTICK MYSELF UNTIL I FINALLY REALIZED I WAS PLAYING BY THE WRONG SET OF RULES.
It depends on who you ask because I lead with curiosity and, as a result, have a broad network with different experiences with me. Primarily, I would say I’m known for the work I do with Customer Experience and Customer Success to drive revenue and optimize a growth strategy. On a personal level, I’ve consistently operated as someone who is trusted, respected, and credible. Internally, I’m seen as a strong ideation partner who brings extensive experience into each conversation and follows through with execution. Externally, some folks know me from the work I've done with TEDx, others know me from the advisory work I do on the board of Women in Cloud. I like how you broke that down into two buckets. You are known for your functional and technical expertise as well as with your brand as a human being - as a person who adds value no matter what sphere you're operating in whether that's TEDx or whether that's in your company. What is your philosophy about networking? Networking can have a negative connotation, but I approach it through a lens of learning, meeting, and connecting with people. A strategy I use at any networking event is to shift my goal from meeting people to connecting as many people together as possible. With this approach, I can engage without feeling as self-conscious, be a better listener, and enjoy the event more.

With the pandemic, networking has also evolved to virtual settings and can be an extension of your brand and reputation. At the core, networking is about building relationships. Send a note to tell someone to keep up the good work, engage on interesting posts, and offer support where you can. Often, this only takes a couple of minutes to create these points of connection. Kindness and caring don’t cost anything and gives us a chance to add positivity to spaces that can only be better for it. Oftentimes, people are afraid to “toot their own horns” and put their successes and thought leadership out there. How does a person get over their fear of what others will think? Don’t we need social proof of our successes? There’s a saying, “When a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?” When it comes to hard work as the foundation to success, your results matter when they are recognized and valued by others. So, to get promoted, you must promote yourself first. Talk about your successes in your organization and don’t stop there. Share them with your network, with your industry, and crossfunctionally. Social media shifted how people perceive selfpromotion, especially younger generations. While it may always feel awkward for me to ask for votes or nominations, I can invest my time across multiple channels and communities. I discuss how I’ve approached situations or challenges, what I would have done differently, and learn how others are finding better ways. We are all on a shared journey. Did you have role models, mentors, or sponsors to help you along the way? Absolutely! I have an amazing mosaic of mentors, sponsors, coaches, hype squad, advisors … you name it! My wide-ranging and diverse network has inspired me in different ways from serving as a sanity check to providing life-changing intros. Too often, I see assumptions around mentors and sponsors narrowly defined as a formal arrangement. My personal board of advisors range from informal relationships, formal agreements, or paid engagements. There are even some role models I’ve never met, but I follow them on social media, listen to their podcasts, and read their books. AUTHORITTI5.0 MAGAZINE

Furthermore, I don’t expect any role model, mentor, or sponsor to be a “magic pill” or “fairy godmother” to help me up a ladder because my journey has felt more like climbing a muddy hill. The power, for me, in these relationships is that they have been the helping hand to get me back on my feet and keep it moving. They’ve reminded me of who I am and who I am meant to become. What are some of the biggest barriers you’ve faced when it comes to uncovering unadvertised jobs? What are ways companies can develop practices to ensure diverse candidate pools at the leadership level when so many are obtained from relationships? Breaking in has been the hardest part and I haven’t found anyone who feels like they’ve figured it out. Even with more companies looking to improve diversity, there is still a significant obstacle to connecting with the leaders who have access and influence in the rooms where opportunities are created. After years of exercising discipline and patience to move the needle, this investment has recently paid off where these influencers are speaking my name when opportunities come up. But if they didn't know me, they couldn't do that.

Any leader tasked with building a team is in a position to do things differently. As a VP of Customer Experience in the cybersecurity space, I’ve built an exceptional team where more than 60% are people of color and we have over 50% women. When you compare these figures to the tech or cybersecurity benchmarks, there is a large gap – and it required focused effort. During the recruiting process, I pushed myself and my recruiting team to fill our pipeline with diversity of thought and experiences with a propensity for innovation. We didn’t compromise on the quality of the people we hired. As challenges like The Great Resignation created additional pressures for teams to frantically fill roles at a heightened pace in an even hotter market, the desire to stick with a familiar path is strong. However, The Great Resignation also presents a unique moment where there are more people (of all backgrounds) willing to explore a change. This is also when continuous networking can accelerate hiring. Actively engaging with others in and around your industry leads to meeting more people - which broadens the nets we cast. Inviting my network to combine our efforts to surface a diverse set of candidates has been a great partnership and how I was able to double a team and fill 80% of the open roles within two quarters. You unlocked your recent opportunities by intentionally reaching out to decision makers and building relationships within the investment community. Would you tell me about that? A ship’s bridge is the captain’s control center because it is the position with the best view and access. It was a friend (and sponsor) who shared her strategy of connecting directly with investors instead of individual companies. By doing this, I’m able to amplify my efforts through the hubs of influence where critical hiring decisions are being discussed. Her connection did not lead to a good fit, but when I started asking more of the folks in my network for similar connections, they turned out to be great learnings and introductions to fruitful opportunities. It can certainly be intimidating to reach out to the folks in these positions, but I found that most saw the value of making a connection and I always offered an “out” if it did not make sense. Getting the first intro is likely the hardest part and at the end of each conversation, I would ask, “Who else could benefit from a conversation like this?” These conversations would also give us a chance to learn about shared interests and experiences outside of work that led to personal connections. By adopting a nonstandard approach, I stopped “spraying and praying with applications” and started hunting. What are the common pitfalls or mistakes you see aspiring leaders make when it comes to career transitions? A common pitfall for many, including aspiring leaders, is putting too much weight on what people will think about a career transition. Over the years, I’ve learned that no one thinks about us nearly as much as we think they might. Deeply rooted in fear of rejection or judgment, the hesitation and worry about “being ready” can hold many people back particularly if they are comfortable. This is when I challenge myself by understanding the motivating “why” behind any move. Because, if you really want to do something, you’ll find a way and if you don’t

There is a lot of talk about agility and adaptability. What are some of the new challenges associated with leading amidst a pandemic? The biggest shift I’ve seen is the disparity between leadership styles. Those with a controlling style create a low trust environment and have seen their people move onto greener pastures. This hands-on approach may have worked when we were all in the same office, but there has been a noticeable change with employees choosing leaders who lead with trust and manage by creating the environments for their teams to do their best work. Empathetic leaders have started separating themselves from the pack. Their teams choose to stay, grow, and thrive. The ability to attract (and keep) high performers is becoming an even larger competitive advantage. On a final note, what are the three tips you would leave with a leadership level job seeker? When it comes to leadership level jobs, have a clear understanding of what energizes you beyond the pay and title because you’ll need to dig deep to tackle the meaningful challenges. The people who work with you will sense your energy and either be inspired or drained. Next, establish a scorecard and system and track potential opportunities. You'll need a visual scorecard or tool to help check any biases, track your progress, and hold yourself accountable.

Lastly, stay gracious and curious. You never know where a great conversation could lead. Remember to appreciate everyone who is part of that journey. Show gratitude to those who took the time and chose to help you – whether they were a referral or the person who helped to schedule the interviews. WHAT IS NEXT? I'm thrilled to be joining the leading software growth investment firm - Insight Partners. I’ve seen many of my long-term clients at Outsourcing Angel grow their businesses and scale exponentially after hiring Virtual Assistants (VAs). But when it comes to hiring more staff, there’s always a question about whether it’s worth hiring a local staff member for the job or outsourcing the work to an overseas VA? So here’s a comparison between local and overseas staff to help you make the right decision for your business.
Reliability of candidates Traditional workplaces are accustomed to hiring local staff because it seems like the safe and reliable option… but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s true. Hiring local staff may give you the advantage of meeting a candidate in-person, but a well conducted video interview with a potential overseas VA can be just as effective. In fact, determining the candidate’s reliability for the job all comes down to the recruitment process and the people involved. If you plan to hire a local staff member or freelancer yourself, you could risk hiring someone that doesn’t end up delivering on their promises. Then it’s up to you to let them go and re-do the entire process again. On the other hand, when you hire an outsourcing agency to hire a VA for you, these candidates go through an extremely thorough recruitment process and if for any reason, things don’t work out between you and your VA, then it’s up to the agency to resolve the issue and hire someone new. Surprisingly, this means there’s actually less risk involved for you when you hire a VA if you

leave it in the hands of an experienced offshore recruitment agency like Outsourcing Angel.
Employee and economic costs One of the most obvious reasons to outsource to overseas VAs is that the job can be done more cost effectively overseas because of lower cost of living. However, some people may argue that outsourcing overseas results in a lost opportunity for your own country’s economy. This might be true, but only for businesses that are hiring Virtual Assistants for the wrong reasons. If your business hires a VA to take on the daily tasks that take you away from growing your business and conducting high-impact work, you’re actually losing the opportunity to generate more revenue for your business and your economy. If you choose to hire local employees at a higher price, it can take you longer to reach your revenue goals and service more clients. It’s ultimately up to you to weigh up how important it is to scale your business fast.
Cultural and communication barriers There’s no question that hiring a local employee means that they’re likely going to be more attuned to your culture and level of English. This makes things much easier for hiring customer service and client facing roles. Even so, this doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a barrier when it comes to hiring Virtual Assistants. You can still find overseas employees with the same level of written and

verbal communication by employing highly skilled and educated staff from countries such as the Philippines and Singapore. This is why the majority of our VAs are based in these countries.

Local terminology and communication preferences can all be taught during the on-boarding process and can take the same amount of time for both local staff and a Virtual Employee.
Finding the right balance In conclusion, if your business has the resources to hire both local and overseas VAs, then we highly recommend finding the balance between both. We see Virtual Assistants as remote employees that can really take care of all the repetitive and ongoing administrative and technical tasks while your local employees can operate in Management and higher decision making roles outside of your expertise, it’s all about finding the right balance.

As we approach International Women's Day, I've been reflecting on my own journey as a woman business owner over the last 20 years. One thing that has completely altered for me personally in this time is my own mind-set as a woman. My own business journey started initially as a marketing consultant and then switched to LinkedIn training 12 years ago. Over time what I’ve experienced is that although women make brilliant leaders, we can also struggle with the style of leadership due to our upbringings.
feminine energy is truly amazing. In fact, very recently two of my fellow Australian LinkedIn trainers and I collaborated on a campaign last year that resulted in our taking out the award for ‘Best Use of LinkedIn Australasia 2021’ from the Social Media Marketing Institute (SMMI). An industry body that recognises the best of the best in the Asia Pacific region through a panel of global judges and not a popularity contest voting system.
In my traditional English upbringing, men were more important in the workforce than women. My brother’s career and future were more openly discussed than mine. It wasn’t quite as bad as my future only being about marriage and supporting my husband, but reflecting back it wasn’t far off. For me personally I've wanted to explore my natural leadership style more deeply and it's rather fitting that I write about this journey for an international Women's Day article in a magazine founded by a powerful woman.

My exploration has taken me down the road of what it is to be a feminine human being. Being, as in the entity of energy rather than a human woman doing. According to Mandy Cavanaugh author of ‘F*ck the Glass Ceiling’; “women are ingrained with a biological skillset that concerns us with wholeness, compassion and connection. As opposed to the masculine imperative which is to conquer, control and compete.” Although it's early days for me with the information on this topic and I'm still not 100% clear on how I can incorporate this more into my everyday business life. But what I do understand is the innate feminine quality of collaboration. When women collaborate, especially with other businesswomen, that powerhouse of

I used to feel like reaching a million dollars was only something for other people. You know – those people who have social influence, are celebrities, or who have managed to gain positions of power through their academic knowledge, being ‘in the club’ or their family assocations. Making your first million can feel like the impossible dream – especially when you start out in business. After 25 years in the game working with high performers – I’ve learned this. Some will and some won’t. Unlike the gurus who sell you the dream but I’m going to give it to you straight. 7 REASONS WHY YOU CAN’T MAKE A MILLION (Read these even if you’re on your way to a million) 1.We have been ‘trained’ and ‘educated’ to be employees - through school, work and culture. 2.With all the noise online – it can be super hard to get yourself out there and find the leads you need to make a million 3.You may be used to earning a regular income, or you haven’t quite been able to scale your business yet. Your fear relates to having knowledge or skill gaps so you can confidently develop an online product or course, market and sell a high value product, find more leads, or scale your business. (All this can be learned fast!) 4.Some days you feel like you are never going to make it. You question why you even started. You double guess yourself and you think about getting a job.

5.You don’t have a system that works to generate leads, sell and market. 6.The people around you don’t get you. They don’t support you. 7.You have a subconscious fear of going beyond what your parents achieved financially. This is because as humans we are tribal and we want to belong. If we move away from what is accepted by family or friends. This must be overcome at an emotional, spiritual and intellectual level if you want to make your million. 8.You believe deep down that you must give more than you receive. You have a block or a thermostat in your head of what you believe you can earn. This conflict is holding you back from your million dollars. 7 Reasons why you CAN make a million now! 1.You no longer need to find a ‘guru’ or well known influencer or waste more time or stress to make your million. You’re smart enough to know that you need the right people around you to guide you rapidly ahead through the stages of scaling to a million dollar business. Trust your instincts. Write down your list of ideal mentors, and your gaps 2.You can FIGURE ANYTHING OUT! If you are willing to invest time, some money into learning – you will save yourself years of lost income, lost time and emotional stress. It’s a journey – but the sooner you get on it the sooner you make your million. 3.Your million starts with ONE

6 WAYS TO DEAL WITH NEGATIVE EMOTIONS AND GAIN CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE BY FALGUNI KATIRA AUTHORITTI5.0 MAGAZINE

From an early stage, we all start experiencing different emotions. As we grow older we go through different experiences which shape our response to emotions. Most people often take for granted their ability to feel and respond to emotions. Hardly do we stop and think about our feelings. We fail to see the impact both mentally and physiologically, or even how harmful it is to keep on holding onto our emotions in the long run. Let’s take a deeper look at emotions, especially the negative, and see what causes them, the side effects, and also how you can deal with them positively for your wellbeing.
What causes negative emotions and why do we have them? As we explore negative emotions deeper, we will be able to know what causes them and even why we have them. The following can cause negative emotions: The anxiety you feel when attending a job interview Anger that comes with being stuck in traffic The sadness you feel after a break-up Annoyance when a colleague hasn’t done the work for a big project and Despair after being unable to follow a workout regime.
MINDFULNESS
Emotions help you understand what is going on around you. Negative emotions help you see threats and make you ready to handle any dangers positively. Different emotions trigger different reactions and intensities.
How can we best control and deal with our negative emotions? Mostly we don’t want to deal with our emotions, especially those that make us feel bad. Negative emotions in the present world are not a threat to us but being able to stop and overcome them would be beneficial to us. Negative emotions are not a sign of low emotional intelligence rather it is normal, healthy, and helpful to our life. Every emotion has a purpose. Well-being is experienced when we start to explore more and understand each emotion and purpose behind it. Human beings experience a full range of emotions in their lifetime because of the rapid change in situations. Don’t let emotions hijack your behavior because as we said earlier, emotions are a low-level reaction so decide how you want to react to them. Here are six tips on dealing with negative emotions.

1.Learn from your body
When you are experiencing negative emotions, learn and understand what your body is trying to tell you. This is all about being self-aware of how you respond to certain emotions and understanding that those negative emotions have a purpose.
2. Expressing your emotions
If there is one thing about having negative emotions is that they urge us to express them. It is important that you also view this as a chance to learn more about yourself by exploring your reactions to negative emotions. Here you are learning to appreciate your instincts. You are also learning to allow them to exist without having any feelings of resentment towards them.
3. Acceptance
This is the next step from expressing your emotions. You will need to accept who you are as a human being. You then need to make yourself your friend. Positive affirmations can help make it easier and more efficient to accept yourself and help bring those negative emotions back to a place where you accept.
4. Re-appraise
Now that you have learned that how you react is a part of who you are, then you can start focusing on improving how you react to negative emotions. Simply put, you will need to find a way to react that is not detrimental to those around you as well as cause issues to you as well.
MINDFULNESS
Just because you accepted who you are doesn’t mean that you accept poor behavior. Accepting is about being selfaware so that you can use this information to improve how you react to negative emotions.
5. Social support system
When you finally understand that everybody around you experiences one form of negative emotion or another, then this can help you understand and become empathetic to those around you. The difference lies in how we individually choose to react to our negative emotions. Understanding this can help us become more compassionate when we see them in danger.
6. Happiness and well being
This step involves finding the positive in our negative emotions. This prevents us from falling into a destructive cycle where we expensive negative emotions and act in a negative way. In this way, we can focus on the positive and this experience more happiness.
Observation Here you take the time to evaluate your emotions objectively without exaggerating or suppressing them. You can then solve the emotions without using poor judgment.
Behavioral and physiological changes

CONTRIBUTING WRITER'S PROFILE While you are observing your negative emotions objectively, you will also need to observe your psychological state. Consider how you are breathing as well as your heart rate. Solve these psychological changes objectively caused by negative emotions.
State of happiness By performing the above steps, you will finally have reached a state of positivity and happiness. You can now change to behavior that leads to your overall wellbeing and happiness. Now you know how to not let your negative emotions affect you and those around you. A happy mind and intellect attracts happiness in life and enhances the quality of life. Strive to look for positivity and happiness with every chance you get. It will not only improve the quality of your life, but of those surrounding you as well.

Have you ever thought of using sacred symbols or magical sigils to manifest? Did you know that working with shapes to manifest is based on the power of the mathematical code? Everything that exists is based on these magical patterns that sages and scientists have discussed over centuries. When you use symbols, sigils, and sacred invitations, you are setting an intention and inviting energy in for manifestation. In this article I will share with you: Some of the great teachers that have helped us with their legacy in their understanding of mathematical codes. Reflections that will help you decide which quantum practice to activate. How to create your very own magical sigil, layered with your magic. Numbers and sequences are more than just graphic symbols. They are energy, they are movement, they are somehow alive, and connected to all that exists. It’s human nature to find patterns. It’s built in our system. We’ve done it for ages since our ancestors first looked up at the sky and discovered the constellations and their symbolism. The greatest minds in human history knew and understood the power held in these patterns. Albert Einstein was one of them. One of his endeavours was to prove that mathematical structure exists. Fibonacci dreamed natural law into existence via mathematical codes.
MANIFESTATION
He discovered the Golden Ratio, a sequence of which all in nature is composed. Nicola Tesla said that “the relationships between numbers are not random, but that they are elementary particles of which everything is made.” Not to mention the relatively new trend, developed by Russian psychic Grigori Grabovoi, to manifest anything, from love to money, to healing of the physical body. This is the latest big phenomenon for people in the know. I’ve watched it across social media platforms garnering amazing results. He gives you specific codes based on Radionic signatures. Each intention holds an electromagnetic signature, and there are number codes for each signature. Be curious! Search the web for the codes that relate to your intentions. So, how can you use codes to manifest? Let me show you. 1. First, decide what you want to call in. There are three main areas people work on. Health Wealth Love 2. Then think about your manifesting process. What appeals to you? Are you open to rituals and ceremonies? Do you have a sacred space dedicated to your desires? 3. Now decide, what is your intention? How will it contribute to the greater good? Spend some time deeply nurturing and nourishing your answers before you

4. Use the Grabovoi codes you found for your intentions. Commit to recite a code daily, that is, repeat the numbers out loud and with charged emotion. Write that mathematical code daily in a gratitude ritual, repeating “thank you, thank you, thank you” for your manifestation. 5. Create a sigil with intention. This is the process I use to create sigils: Write your ask. The shorter, the better (i.e. New Car). Delete the vowels and any double consonants. Start designing. Compose all remaining letters into a symbol or geometric shape. Don’t judge the result, don’t worry about how it looks. Just let your intuition guide you.
Maria Davis from Maria Heals, teaching leadership and personal development. Sharing practical magic to entrepreneurs so they share their gifts with a wider audience and make more money.
Place the sigil prominently in your space. It will support its creation and evolvement. Sigils, just like sacred geometry, amulets, and talismans have a force field that goes beyond the reality we see. Instead, they tap into the mystery of what we feel to be true. What can you do regularly, consistently with a fortified focus and discipline? Warning! Do not mess with this process. Make sure to ground, anchor yourself. This is powerful magic because it will come true.

Scaling a Business By Dr. Michael Thiemann

Competition in today’s business world is fierce, and entrepreneurs must do everything they can to succeed. You might be sure that your product and service address client needs. Still, finding the proper strategy for scaling your business from small to a global visible go-to authority is another topic. These scaling strategies differentiate a small business, a startup, or a profitable organization. Every globally successful company like Apple, Amazon, SAP, or Google began as a mere business idea. But it has been actively scaled after its launch. Certain factors play a vital role in how those organizations grew and became successful. Besides others, which I will show later, here are the three primary elements: 1. A product that solves a big customer problem (right offer) 2. Customers perceive the offer/result as valuable (right perceived quality) 3. The customer gets the product at the right time (right time to market) 4. Many people around the world have the same problem (market size) 5. The gross margin is high (Relevance for investors) 6. No frictions between the elements of your business model that hinders scaling
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Scaling a business has always been challenging, and learning from failures can sometimes be expensive concerning time, money, and frustration. Most big companies I have coached and consulted run through this fail-forward cycle. Nonetheless, today, these learned experiences and wisdom allow me to give you better advice on executing scalability techniques. Additionally, today’s digital connectedness to your target customers worldwide reduces your effort to implement these strategies. I will cover some valuable techniques so that you can scale your business quicker and avoid common mistakes. You will benefit from the experiences I gained as a corporate finance banker, strategy consultant, investor, and C-Level Executive so that you can create sustainable growth through successful scaling strategies. What is Scaling a Business? In simple terms, scalability describes the ability to increase output more than the associated consumption of input resources. Scaling a business depends mainly on the ability and spare capacity of a business to grow. Today's low-cost technology has become relatively easy for even many small businesses to

acquire new customers and enter markets. Scaling vs. Growth In simple words, growth refers to an increase in revenue, while scaling refers to the increase in revenue without increasing production costs by the same amount. In the case of digital products, scalability is almost infinite, as they can be copied virtually free of charge and distributed via the Internet at a meager cost.

costs, so your profit margin remains attractive. Revenue growth should be higher than the increase in costs, and the profit margin should at least remain stable. In order to achieve this position, the following prerequisites are required above all. What can small businesses or coaches, in particular, do to scale their business? 1. Building an impressive skillset through a diverse team
Why is scaling important? Cost-effective technology allows easy global access to your target customers so that you can take advantage of your market share globally. Low costs for systematization and automation of processes allow you to gain a competitive advantage over your competitors and secure your business model and niche. When is the right time to scale your business? If you have a repeatable sales model and your processes, systems, as well as input resources can be increased smoothly without suffering jumps in
Building a remarkable skillset through a diverse team. Because this allows you to define the right product, systematize and automate processes and help your customers with your offer at the right time via the best channel. 2. Building the right ecosystem The best way is to build a widespread ecosystem with all stakeholders, potential partners/supporters, and the public. Use social media to become globally visible as a go-to authority through valuable content. Networking and collaboration help in this context, as you can potentiate your visibility.

3. Invest in brain and technology Technology is cost-effective today, and with the right brain, it's easy for you to systematize your processes and achieve high-profit margins. In doing so, automate as many processes as possible to increase time to delivery, production scale, and quality without increasing costs. But don't make the mistake of neglecting your relationship with your customers in the process. Engage directly with your customers in a human-centric way to increase perceived customer value and trust in your brand. Customers are people with emotions. They are not numbers in your scaling efforts

There are a number of factors that contribute to the success or demise of an entrepreneur as they launch, operate, and try to grow their business. These factors can include many things out of their control, such as what the competition does, the reliability of the supply chain, the current economic climate, a global pandemic, for example.
likely never find it. An analytical search for a solution can comb through the entire content of your mind’s “known” but not outside of it. Novel answers reside outside of your mind’s known contents.
However, there is one element that every entrepreneur can control no matter what their business is or the outside factors are. That one thing is the brain in their head. By understanding how their brain inherently operates and how to leverage and encourage its optimal performance, an entrepreneur can help put the odds of success in their favor.
Thinking Outside of the Box
When you understand better how your brain operates, you can put it to work for you and help it help you be successful. Below are two brain basics every entrepreneur needs to be aware of.
Thinking Too Analytically Can Limit You Gathering more information, analyzing the options carefully, thinking through the possibilities, and making calculated, deliberate decisions are better for business, right? Not always. Solutions and eureka-moments are hardly ever discovered that deliberately. If an answer to a problem lies outside of your brain’s familiar experience — which is shaped by your past, beliefs, culture, and biases — your conscious mind will most
You know the saying "Think outside the box." Well, it's good advice based on science!
When you allow your brain to integrate new information with existing knowledge on a subconscious level, it can establish new connections and see patterns that are not obvious to your conscious mind. Creative solutions and ideas are more likely to bubble up from a brain that applies unconscious thought to a problem, rather than going at it in a deliberate approach with your frontal lobe's analytical thinking. When your thinking brain is active and inundated with information, it doesn’t have the bandwidth to connect concepts and make creative leaps. Science shows that your brain’s restingstate circuitry called the default mode network (DMN) — which is activated when you stop thinking about something specific and just let your mind wander — is the best place to park a problem. In the DMN, your brain does some of its best, wisest, and most creative work. To encourage innovative, problem-solving, creative thinking, you will want to give your brain breaks and let it wander. Meditate. Take a nap. Go for a walk. Einstein and Darwin swore by their daily walks.

More Information Is Not Always Better There is an implicit belief in our society that more information is better. According to economic theory, more information is always better unless the cost of acquiring further information exceeds the anticipated gain from it. Economists do concede and make the exception that more is not always better when the information isn’t free. This rule may work for economics, but in your brain, more information and more thinking is not always better, for several reasons.
Your brain doesn’t like too much information. Research indicates that people like to have choices when faced with making a decision. However, if they are given too many choices, they feel less happy about their decision and are less satisfied with the decision-making process itself. One study showed that as people received more information, activity increased in the region of the brain responsible for decision-making, problem-solving, and control of emotions, the prefrontal cortex. However, when the load became too much it was as though a breaker in the brain was tripped and the prefrontal cortex just shut down.
You learn better with spaced sessions than with contiguous effort. You probably know from experience and science confirms that your brain performs better if you take in information
NEUROSCIENCE
in smaller chunks with regular breaks rather than trying to cram everything into one long session. Your brain needs downtime to consolidate the incoming information before you can use it effectively. Studies show that napping can improve memory and creative problem-solving.
An Entrepreneur Can Build a Resilient Brain Much like life, an entrepreneur is going to face adversity, rejection, low selfconfidence and motivation, and probably even failure at some point in their journey. If they do not, they are the one-in-amillion lucky anomaly. These events do not necessarily determine the success or demise of an entrepreneur. It is how they deal with them that determines that. The secret to bouncing back from these challenges is building resilience. Fortunately, resilience is a skill your brain can learn.
What is Resilience? Resilience is the process of adapting in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress. All of these things can be part of a "normal" day for someone running their own business. Being resilient doesn’t mean that you don’t experience hard times, failures, and stress. In fact, the road to resilience (and success) most often involves considerable challenges and hardship. These things help you learn resilience.

Resilience is not a trait that you either have or don’t have. It includes behaviors, thoughts, and actions that can be learned and developed. When you break it down to the physical level in your brain, resilience is a neuroplastic process and is a factor of how well your brain handles stress.

How to Build Resilience In his book, Resilient: How to Grow an Unshakable Core of Calm, Strength, and Happiness, Rick Hanson writes: "Mental Resources like determination, self-worth, and kindness are what make us resilient: able to cope with adversity and push through challenges in the pursuit of opportunities. While resilience helps us recover from loss and trauma, it offers much more than that. True resilience fosters well-being, an underlying sense of happiness, love, and peace. Remarkably, as you internalize experiences of well-being, that builds inner strengths which in turn make you more resilient. Well-being and resilience promote each other in an upward spiral.” Hanson goes on to say that you can build a more resilient brain in the same way you would strengthen your muscles. You do it through lots of little efforts that add up over time. Little efforts throughout your day can result in real physical changes for a better brain. You can teach your brain to be more resilient by learning to be more emotionally intelligent, practicing mindfulness, working with your thoughts, encouraging a healthy mind and body, and strengthening your relationships.
