PSEA (Post Secondary Education Accounts)

• Parents who wish to use their PSEA to pay for their child’s January to April School Fees, please request for Application Form from Class Teacher or Office Staff.

• To tap on PSEA, parent/ guardian to kindly ensure your child/ward’s PSEA Account is active and have sufficient funds for withdrawal.

• To create/apply PSEA account, child/ward must have baby bonus (CDA) link to PSEA.

Edusave Account Deduction Should Edusave deduction be unsuccessful, school & miscellaneous fees for May – Dec ($160) to be paid up by 1st week of May ($80) & September ($80).

Financial Assistance

For pupils who have financial difficulties, financial assistance can be sought from the Social Work Department.

N.B. If your child is granted financial assistance, his / her financial aid will cease immediately if his or her attendance is 85% below for 3 months or more.

Group Accident Insurance Scheme

This group accident insurance scheme for our pupils is to insure them against unforeseen accidents which may occur during SCHOOL HOURS OR SCHOOL ORGANISED ACTIVITIES.

The insurance also covers the pupils while they travel to and from school and home. It provides Accident Death and Disability Insurance for $10,000.00 and a Medical Reimbursement Benefit for up to $5,000.00 (due to necessary medical treatment for accidental injury). Annual Premium per pupil is $5.50 and the costs will be borne by the school

Appointment With School Staff

AFTERNOON SESSION (PM SESSION)

All parents are kindly advised to make prior appointment with our school staff before coming to the school to ensure availability for the meeting.

Medical History

Pupils with medical history (e.g. asthma, heart problem) must inform their class teacher of their condition and produce medical letters for exemption from any physical activities in the school, where applicable, including physical education (PE) lessons.

School Attire

Parents / guardians will be informed of the sales prior to the date. The School Uniform & PE Attire vendor for Chaoyang School is United Uniforms Pte Ltd. Parents / guardians are to visit their physical stores at the following to make the necessary purchases:

MORNING SESSION (AM SESSION)

• Mondays to Thursdays, PM Session pupils will report to school by 12.00pm for Pre-Assembly Programme.

• Pupils that report after 7.30am / 12.15pm between Mondays to Thursdays & after 7.30am / 1.30pm on Fridays will be considered as late-comers.

• The school gate is closed at all times during school hours.

• To ensure safety in the school, all parents who are sending their child to school by private transport are to drop off and pick up their child by the school side small gate. Alternatively, parents can park at the nearby neighbourhood parking lots and wait at the Parents Waiting Area near the side small gate to fetch their child.

• Parents of new pupils are allowed to come into the canteen at stipulated recess timing (as above) of the level for their child during the first 3 days only.

DE-REGISTRATION

Valid reasons must be given for each deregistration. All de-registrations are to be made in writing with a minimum of one calendar month’s notice and submitted to the general office in person or email to cys@ apsn.org.sg no later than the last day of each school term.

SCHOOL STATIONERY & BOOKS

Chaoyang School does not require pupils to purchase textbooks or workbooks from publishing houses as we craft our own curriculum materials & worksheets. There is also no physical bookshop located within Chaoyang School premises. Parents / guardians are to purchase your child / ward stationery & books from Popular Bookstores islandwide.

Attendance

• Pupils are to keep regular attendance.

• Pupils are to participate in all school activities and programmes.

• Parents can call the school to inform of their children’s absence. Absence from school is to be supported by either a written note from parents / guardians or medical certificates.

• Notice of Absenteeism will be sent out to Parents / Guardians if the school is not informed of the reason for a continuous absence of three days or more.

• Kindly note that the criteria for School Achievement Award is 95% and above and absence from school should only be supported by medical certificate.

• Pupils’ conduct is assessed at the end of each semester. This assessment considers attendance & behaviour.
