Compulsory Eligibility Criteria

• The student must be a Singaporean citizen.

• The student must have a good conduct for SA1 and SA2 AND the student must not have committed any serious offences1 outlined in the school’s Student Management System.

• Student must also show good punctuality (95%) and an attendance rate of 95% and above.

1 Functional Academic Award (FAA)

A. Functional Literacy Award

B. Functional Numeracy Award

The Functional Academic Award (FAA) recognises and rewards students, who achieve outstanding performance in Literacy (English Language) OR Numeracy (Maths) for a particular module, with a minimum score of 80%.

2 Good Progress Award (GPA)

The Good Progress Award (GPA) recognises and rewards students who have shown significant progress in academic performance for Functional Literacy (English Language) OR Numeracy (Maths). Selection is based on comparison of end-of-year results against those of the mid-year. Students who are enrolled in Term 3 onwards are excluded from this award as there is no basis for comparison of progress. This will be based on the extend of his improvement in his end-of-year examinations results of current year SA2 over mid-year SA1.
