The Daisies were bursting with joy and ready to conquer the new challenges that await them However, they were also filled with uncertainty, and after one term, the Grade 8s of 2023 are part of the Larrie family

The Daisy camp took place at La Rochelle’s hostel before school started The Grade 8s had to hand in their cell phones, which allowed new friendships to form. The Student Council and Hostel Prefects took the Daisies under their wings They taught them how to act as a Larrie should, what our values and traditions are, and how to be the best ‘frogs’ to their Miladies They were also familiarised with our songs and seeds of excitement were planted about sing songs and 4M
The first week in the Larrie ‘jungle’ began The Daisies had to make use of all the resources to survive in the wild Hunting down classrooms, croaking at everyone, and sticking to their tribes was the easy part Trying to protect their pocket money from the tuck-shop temptations was the real challenge. The Daisies adapted to the new environment quickly, even when orientation week was a ‘gel catastrophe’ The five ponytails, inside-out school dresses and ‘frog eyes’ made the Miladies proud The fruit festival was a feast for the tastebuds and the eyes The Daisies dressed up as a variety of fruit and paraded around on the Astro and looked fit for Woolies Food
The Daisies came bearing gifts on Valentine’s Day and on Milady Day which was dearly appreciated
