Pull-Out MAP ON THE GO™ Inside

2

Welcome to Asheville! It is a pleasure to welcome you to Asheville and I invite you to enjoy the many wonderful things our city has to offer. This is a great time to explore the different areas of the city. Be sure to use our Map on the Go™ in the center section. This patent pending design allows for careful removal of the map so that it may be used separately from the Guide to help you find that perfect place to eat.

Summer 2015 Asheville Dining Guide

One of the best things about Asheville is that it has become a culinary epicenter thanks to its many fine dining and drinking establishments. You will find a variety of businesses available to enjoy in the Asheville Dining Guide.

is published three times per year by: Edgewater Media Group, Inc. 22 South Pack Square, Suite 202 Asheville, NC 28801

Asheville has become a destination for those who truly enjoy great eats and drinks. As you explore Asheville, you will be amazed at the abundance of unique dining options. The vibrant life of the city spills in and out of businesses that will truly amaze you with their offerings.

Phone: 828.774.5322 edgewatermediagroup.com

There is more to Asheville’s charm than may be visible at first glance. Asheville has become a city with high food and drink standards. This success is due to the exemplary work of the many restaurants, drinking establishments and their staff. In addition, organizations such as AIR, Asheville Independent Restaurant Association, along with a nationally-acclaimed culinary program at the local community college, A-B Tech, have set the bar high. There is a strong emphasis on providing fresh, healthful food, beginning with farm-to-table sourcing for ingredients. ASAP, Appalachian Sustainable Agricultural Project, connects local farms with chefs and food providers.

Asheville is home to a large number of Certified Green Restaurants® that are working to be environmentally sustainable. In addition, we have a growing number of local businesses dedicated to reducing ecological impact, such as Danny’s Dumpsters and Blue Ridge Biofuels.

Design:

The impressive selection of local, craft breweries has also contributed to Asheville’s fame. In fact, Asheville was named winner of the Examiner’s “Beer City, USA” poll for four consecutive years. Asheville is now home to more than 20 breweries, which utilize many of the same local sourcing and environmentally sustainable practices of area restaurants.

Be sure to check out our new website, eatsdrinks.com. This new site is full of information about places for eats and drinks in Asheville and other cities. We will continually be growing with more listings and more cities, so check back regularly.

Coming in the Fall of 2015 will be our newest publication, the Asheville Beer and Music Guide, full of information about the many local places to listen to music and our local breweries. Again, welcome to Asheville! We are glad you are here.
