VIETNAM WALL SCHEDULE FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 19 The American Veterans’ Traveling Tribute, featuring an 80% replica of the Vietnam Wall, opens for public viewing at 8:00 a.m. at American Legion Post 73 in Murray, Kentucky. The post is located at 310 Bee Creek Drive off of North 4th Street. Parking for the event is available at the post and across 4th Street at the Bee Creek Soccer Complex. A non-denominational Church service will be conducted for all veterans and the public at 11:00 a.m. by former Army Chaplain Dr. David Roos. A wreath-laying ceremony will be conducted beginning at 4:00 p.m. to honor Veterans and Fathers. Chaplain Ron Melone will provide the Invocation. The National Anthem will be performed by Mr. Tab Brockman. There will be a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. There will be a playing of the POW/MIA remembrance tape. Remarks will be made by Veterans and anyone who wishes to speak. The assembly will sing “God Bless America.” The Honor Guard of Post 73 will perform a firing squad salute and the playing of TAPS. Following the ceremonies, a dessert and punch reception will be held and the public is invited. For further information call 270-752-3333.
