What’s happening at
So as we draw to the end of another season here at Mersea the whole team and I would like to thank you all for your support and another year with us. As you all know it's been a very busy year for me as I continued with my Sales Manger role whilst also learning how to be a General Manager! It's a challenge I have certainly enjoyed as you are all aware how much I love this park and the owners on it, so I am looking forward to my 10th season with you all next year.
As you read on you will see a couple of things the team have put together to make sure you don't miss out on what you need to know. The first one is the end of season owners' party which is Saturday 19th November and will be a "back to the 80's" party so we hope to see you all there for a drink with the team, p.s. don't forget your leg warmers! It starts at 7pm and will be held down at the Muddy Duck. The whole team will be there so we look forward to seeing you. This will probably be our last event this season at the Muddy Duck as we prepare to close the park for the winter months.
Winterisation forms will be with you shortly, if you have received them already please fill them in as soon as possible and pop them into Guest Services and the team will get everything all booked in for you. Even if you are on our warranty+ scheme you will still need to complete the form for us so we can make sure your holiday home is protected.
Maintenance will be starting to walk the park soon and read your gas and electric meters. We are planning to start this in November, as we normally would, so just keeping you in the loop with our plans. The site fee bills will also be invoiced around end of October/ first week of November. You will receive all the instructions of what needs to be done and by when, but of course if you need any help from the team just pop into Guest Services and see us, we will be only too happy to help you.
Please note the parks closing date this year will be 2 January 2023 and we will be re opening 1st February 2023. We hope to see you all round the park over the next few weeks, however, if we don't manage to see some of you in time, all the team and I would just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Winterising your holiday home
A little Winter tip from us. As it starts to get colder, and you are leaving your caravan for a couple of weeks at a time, we recommend turning the water off at the stopcock, turning on all the taps and the shower to let all the water out, and flushing your toilets to ensure the cisterns are empty.
