Hello from Toby

What a great few weeks it has been, the sun is out, the park is getting busier I think I have mentioned before but this is my favourite time of year, when the sun starts to come out and the park really starts to take off for the season.

I would like to start by thanking a number of you for the feedback you have been giving us, as it’s started to really help us shape some of the decisions we’ve been making.

We’ve launched a pop-up bar at busy times in the Green Room, introduced the app and ice creams are now available from Guest Services. We’ve also handed over the responsibility for Owner Services to the Sales Team (now the Ownership Team, headed up by Neil Rowe), and are looking for a dedicated person to look after you and your ownership journey, more info on this to follow as we find this person

Over the last few months, we’ve been through some change, but have now nearly filled all roles and I have to say, I think this could be our best year yet! Although, I am biased :) Please see the shout-outs section to see who is joining and departing.

Soon we will be launching a new proposition for our Fishing Lake and will be getting this ready for summer with some benches, along with some rules and passes for those wishing to fish on our lake - this area really is starting to come along and look fantastic!

We have some great owners’ events coming up too, please make sure you keep an eye out as to which events are bookable to avoid disappointment.

We have so far welcomed 27 new owners this year, can you believe that? I am so proud of our owners community here - I love walking about the park and talking to you all and seeing you enjoying your new lifestyles. It was so lovely to hear you had also been getting together yourselves for BBQ’s and bowls afternoons!

We wanted to give you a heads up that we're making a change regarding our newsletters. Instead of sending them out quarterly, we'll be staying connected through Third Place Social This way, we can keep you in the loop more efficiently and frequently, ensuring you always have the latest and greatest information. We're excited about this update and can't wait to connect with you on a more regular basis!

New starters

Lucy Webberley, Guest Experience Manager

Welcome to Lucy Webberley who joins us as the Guest Experience Manager. I asked Lucy to tell us a little bit about her.

"My name is Lucy and I’m thrilled to have joined the great team here at Mill Rythe Coastal Village as The Guest Experience Manager. Having worked in Customer Service for over ten years, I love building and creating an environment for positive customer relationships. I was previously based in Australia for Seven years as a Customer Relations Manager, for a telecommunications company and it was my role to ensure my clients experience was to the highest standard. Moving forward with Mill Rythe I am really looking forward to working with customers face to face and I'm excited to continue to build on and create memorable moments for all our Owners and Guest’s."

Leavers

Laura Jurgens, Guest & Owner Services Manager

We said goodbye to Laura Jurgens, our Guest Services Manager, who returned to her comfort of Airlines.

Laura left with a lovely message for you all.

“It is with a very heavy heart, I wish to advise you all, I will be leaving Mill Rythe as Owner and Guest Services Manager. For those who know, I am from a Commercial Airline background, and I have been offered an amazing opportunity to head up Business Development at easyJet.

I know my journey here at Mill Rythe has been short, but it has been very sweet! It has been an absolutely pleasure meeting and working with you.”

I will announce our new Guest Services Manager in due course.

Third Place Social

We have now been given access to Third Place Social at a park level which is enabling us to communicate useful information to you all much more effectively and quickly.

If like me you don’t use Facebook, I would recommend setting up a blank profile (set to private) purely just to be in this group.

If you would like any help then please let me know, me and the team will be more than happy to help you.

Ice Creams! Swimming Sessions

By popular demand ice creams are now available from Guest Services.

Introducing a hybrid of bookable and free-swim sessions at Mill Rythe!

We are looking to have some later sessions available during peak times toomore information to follow.

App Launch!

We’ve launched the app in the Green Room and are in the process of moving to app only ordering in here. There’s been some great feedback about the app and reducing wait times. Upon opening weekend over 50% of transactions were through the app!

We’ll also have a pop-up bar for busy periods.

Soft Play: Update

We’re in the final stages of re-opening our soft play. This was from feedback from both guests and owners, about wanting more things for kids to do around the park. By the time this is published I imagine this will have reopened.

Fishing Lake Re-Launch!

We are re-launching the fishing lake very soon! This will be a chargeable offering to our guests and locals, but free for all owners. It will give us more opportunity to control the Fishing Lake and who is using it. We’ll also be introducing some stricter rules as to what is, and isn’t, allowed, along with operation times
