What’s happening at
Hello from Jamie
Edition number 2 of the Parklife Newsletter... wow, where has the time gone?! It feels like only yesterday I was putting together an introduction of myself for when I arrived at Swanage Bay View.
Throughout the Summer, we put together an entertainment program that had something for everyone. From Tina Turner tributes, to Olly Murs tributes, magicians that have featured on Britain's Got Talent and even custard pie fights! Some were better attended than others but now we know what works, we'll be looking to continue with acts in demand, next year.
Looking ahead, I'm really looking forward to our end of season Owner's Event. We've got an action packed evening in store for you. More info on the running order of the event will be announced in due course. Tickets are however limited, so you need to be swift! Oh, and feel free to bring along your maracas and sombreros!
With close down approaching, I'm hoping to be able to share with you what works will be carried out during this time, so look out for more information in the coming weeks.

Rain or shine… we don’t care, adventure here we come! Autumn is the very best time to hop in the car and discover a brand-new destination, and we have plenty of them for you to choose from. Commercial Vehicles & Motor Homes
Can we please ensure that no Commercial Vehicles or Motor Homes are parked on park, in line with the park rules.
Winterisation
You'll have received a letter regarding the winterisation of your holiday homes. I can't stress how important this is to ensure no potential damage occurs! Unfortunately, we're not able to predict what kind of a winter we're going to have, so please plan accordingly. Please complete this form, should you want us to "drain down" your holiday home for you. The deadline to have these forms returned to us is 31st October.
Private Sublet
Just a heads up, Lynsey will be sending out a letter regarding private sub-letting. Can you please reply to her as soon as you can if this is something you're thinking about doing? It's vital that we're aware of which holiday homes are providing this service, especially from a Health & Safety aspect.
Our Canine Friends
Being a dog lover myself, I love that Away Resorts are a dog friendly business. We do however need to mindful of the amount of dogs that are occupying your holiday homes, with the maximum allowed being 2.
Grounds Maintenance
We feel that we've made very good progress with maintaining the grounds... but there's always room for improvement! We found that we were jumping from area to area completing different jobs and not really completing an area in full, which lead us to playing catch up all the time. We have now implemented a structured approach and split the park into 10 sections. Should you require any non-urgent grounds work to be completed, reception will be able to tell you which day we will be able to carry out the works (fingers crossed sickness and other absences don't disrupt this!
