Hello from Jamie Hi Everyone! I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am your new General Manager at Swanage Bay View following Neil’s departure. I’ve worked on some of the UK’s largest and busiest holiday parks in senior management roles and have enjoyed my fair share of staycations since I was a young lad! Holiday parks, regardless of size, all have their own challenges and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and be able to further improve your experience during your visits to Swanage Bay View. Whilst I understand we don't always necessarily like change, I can promise that I won't be making changes for changes sake, however if there is anything that you would like to discuss or have any real concerns that you want to raise, feel free to drop me a line. You may notice that this "newsletter" is a little different compared to previous ones. That's because it's the first edition as part of the Away Resorts family.... exciting times ahead! Don't worry though, it will continue to provide you with interesting insights to enjoying your time on park. Some of you have asked about the owners’ event calendar and what we plan on doing. We're working hard on this behind the scenes and will release the full calendar very shortly, however what I can say is that I'm personally looking forward to the cocktail taster session that we'll be running for you...more to follow on this later! As I'm sure all of you will be aware, the opening times for "The View" bar, has unfortunately been inconsistent for the last few months. This is far from ideal and definitely a focus point of mine. With a recruitment leaflet drop to the local area taking place, I'm sure we'll have more consistency in the very near future. Thanks for your understanding around this matter. See you soon!

An update from Carl Hi all, it’s been a while since my last message to you; I hope you are well. Just under 12 months ago, we embarked on the integration of Aria Resorts into Away Resorts. Our aim with this acquisition was to build on our current reputation as one of the industry’s leading operators, giving our guests, holiday homeowners and team members authentic, unique, and ethical experiences. The bulk of our integration work has been completed and we now have 24 locations with the Away Resorts' flag proudly flying. While you may have noticed some changes on park, I want to assure you that you’re in safe hands. We’re an ambitious business looking to grow but are equally committed to regularly investing in our current locations. Over the next three years, we are looking to deploy 50 million pounds worth of capital across the business annually; this investment will introduce new bars and restaurants, swimming pools, enhanced technical infrastructure, and improved park grounds and maintenance. As a community of Holiday Homeowners, you play a crucial part in the park’s success, and I thank you in advance for your continued support. Should you have any initial feedback or comments, remember our team members (who we lovingly refer to as Holiday Heroes) are always on hand to help. I am so pleased that you will be joining us on this continued journey, and I hope that you get some time to enjoy your wonderful holiday home over the summer season. Bulletin Take a more leisurely pace Visiting Swanage Bay View should be all about slowing down and so we ask that you take the same approach when driving around the park. With the Summer holidays approaching there will be lots of little ones darting about and families enjoying a leisurely pace, so please observe the speed limit to ensure we all stay safe and happy.
Growing our team Recruitment is proving difficult at the moment, not just in little old Swanage but nationwide. As a business, we're thinking outside the box and sending out 19,000 recruitment flyers to the local area but if you know anyone looking for a job in leisure and tourism, please do send them our way.
Keep our visitors up to date If sub-letting, please ensure your guests have all the information they need to have the best holiday possible by ensuring that all leaflets for attractions, etc. are all up to date.
Board Proof of Residence It’s that time of year that we ask to see your proof of residence, as outlined in your licence agreement. The necessary documentation was due by 14th July, so if you haven’t yet given it to the team, please do get it to us at your earliest convenience.
Keeping spick and span We love to see your treasured home from home looking clean and shiny but we've noticed that some of the decking around park is in need of a little TLC. Just a quick reminder that the Park Rules informs that: "All holiday homes are to be kept in good condition and maintained to the high standards of the Resort. The holiday homeowner is responsible for the general upkeep of the holiday home and the tidiness around it, ensuring that the area underneath the holiday home is always kept clean and free of clutter". We'll be sending out letters to inform relevant owners and would be grateful if you could ensure your decking gets a good wash in time for the summer season.
