Owners Passes Great news, we are now ready to issue you with the new 2017 Owners passes that you will need to use the facilities.
Firstly, we would like to welcome you all back to Tattershall Lakes Country Park for another great season with us and we hope you are all as excited as us to be back. You will all be pleased to know most of the team is staying the same with a few new additional faces to help with looking after the park. Whether you have been down to the park yet already or whether you are due down soon you will notice we have been busy over the winter period making some much-needed improvements ready for 2017, including a brand-new development of both caravan and lodge pitches, some of which overlook the beautiful Osprey Lake, we hope these will be finished very soon. We have introduced some fantastic new events alongside the successful Rock The Lakes and annual Cream Pie Fight which we are sure you will enjoy, more information can be found in this newsletter. And finally, please remember our door is always open in Guest Services and whether you need myself or one of our holiday heroes please don’t hesitate to pop in and see us even if it’s just for a catch up and a chat..

Once again, as we do every year, can we please remind our owners to pop into Guest Services when you are next on park to check your contact details with us. It might be that you have moved address, changed your telephone number or e-mail address over the winter and we need to know. Sometimes we need to get messages or updates out to you quickly either by a text message or e-mail so it is important we have the right details so you don’t miss out on relevant park information.
hook, line & sinker Merlin Point Lakes – For the leisure angler, we are hoping to have these two lakes open for this season from April onwards. The Merlin Point Lakes have 12 pegs, stocked with a variety of fish (Mostly Carp from 1lb – 2lb, Tench and Bream. There are also a handful of Crucian carp that are also present in the lakes). This is the first time we have used these lakes for fishing. They will not suit the specimen hunter, but will suit the casual/leisure angler who may just fancy somewhere different to fish in a great location. Please be mindful that fishing tickets still need to be purchased by all Owners fishing and your guests and anglers must hold UK rod license. Fishing in general – Over 600 carp are being introduced to Fraser lake, this is the large lake close to where the new Fairways development is being constructed. We will also be replenishing the stock on the Island/ Fishing lake. We do however, ask that all owners purchase either day tickets or annual tickets in order to fish. This ensures we continue to increase the fishing stocks throughout the park each year. Stock fish – At the end of 2016, we introduced a further 2000 baby stock fish into the Stocking Lake including common carp and tench. Toms Tackle – Tom will still be on hand from the Tackle shop to offer advice and to provide a selection of equipment to suit your needs. Toms Facebook page “Toms Tackle” as well as D&T carping which was set up by Duane and Tom, who regularly fish the lakes with great success have some great tips. If you have any young family members who are keen to try out fishing for the first time, this is the perfect place to get them started. Don’t forget to send in your photos to us hero@away-resorts.com of your catches throughout the season and if you want to share your methods at the same time (although we don’t expect you to disclose you secret recipes) it would be greatly appreciated. There’s nothing like some local knowledge shared amongst anglers.
Please fill in the attached form and enclose two passport size photos for each person, this will give us everything we need to get your new passes ready for you to collect from Guest Services. Typically, from the point we receive your form with the pictures the passes will be ready to collect within 7 days. All team members at Tattershall Lakes have been told ‘no pass, no entry’, we operate this system to stop people not staying at Tattershall Lakes being able to use the facilities. This gives more room to yourselves and holiday guests. As some of our team members will be new they won’t know everyone’s faces so please help by carrying your passes at all times.

A night at the races Friday 7th April 6 - 9pm Coming down the stretch they’re neck and neck there’s a derby gathering at Tattershall Lakes. Gallop over for a nail biting night of luck and good fortune as we set up in front of the big screen for some serious competition in the Propeller bar.

Following a letter and recent inspections from East Lindsey District Council we would like to remind all owners not to store items underneath holiday homes, especially anything flammable.
Health & safety Any Owner that requires contractors to visit them on Park will need to be authorised by Dean Poppy. Please call Guests Services to obtain the necessary paperwork and to find out more.

Many of our Holiday Home Owners let their holiday homes when they are not using them. It provides Holiday Home Owners with extra income that can help cover running costs. Obviously, the amount you can earn will depend on how often your home is available to let, but this is entirely at your discretion. Whatever suits you can be accommodated. Our Managed Letting Service is dead easy to use and only requires a couple of forms to get started.
Rest assured that our discounting decisions are made with very careful consideration of your best interests. After all, it is in yours and our interests that the park be a popular destination choice. When it comes to holiday letting, your success is our success. Something to keep in mind is that most people enjoy holidays over bank holiday weekends, during school holidays and throughout July and August. If you can use your holiday home at other times and keep these peak periods free for letting, we increase our chances of your success.

So how much can you earn? Well we can’t give you a definite figure but we can promise that we can try to get the highest letting income possible. As you know, everyone loves a bargain and the competition for holiday dollars is fierce so there are times when we have to run promotional discounts via advertising and direct mail campaigns.
The best part of the service is that we manage all bookings. Nothing for you to worry about. At the end of the year, we add up your bookings and subtract a commission of 19% + VAT to cover marketing and administration. You receive the rest. All holiday homes must have up to date health and safety certificates.

With the Spitfire bar being increasingly popular we are now putting plenty of plans into place to reduce waiting times and queues for food. Whilst queues at bars are still likely at peak times and not unique to us or holiday parks, we are working our hardest to provide you with quick and efficient service. This includes employing more team members, improving staff training and the purchase of extra catering equipment so we hope that you will see a great improvement this year.

Cycling We have purchased 15 new bikes to hire and will be increasing the number of bike racks throughout the park. No matter your fitness level, clothing size, age, or litany of aches and pains, you can enjoy the fun, adventure, and health benefits that two wheels can bring.
Large household items Unfortunately our refuse collectors do not pick up large household rubbish items such as fridges or ironing boards and you need to dispose of them at the local dump, the same as when you are at home. Our staff will be happy to give you directions.
Den building As an Away Resorts owner you will receive a 10% discount at any of our six locations. There are just a few rules; All discounts are subject to availability, holidays need to be booked by calling 01442 50 88 50 and selecting your park. You, our lovely owner, must be present on holiday. Your owners account number must be given at time of booking and ownership photo ID passes must be shown at check in.

Lawns Caravan Show All Day
You are invited to join us for some great wines from around the world complemented with a range of delicious cheeses, crackers and chutney.
The annual Caravan Extravaganza gives enthusiasts from all over the UK their first opportunity to see the new season’s models. A massive accessory shop is set up within The Lawns Centre; there is a small funfair for children, hamburger and other food stalls, including ice-creams, and all sorts of other entertainments to make this a fun day out for the family. We will be offering a free coach to the Lawns Caravan Show so that you can check out the 2018 models first!
Sat 3rd June Pool Party with Hog Roast 6pm - 9pm Get your bathing suit ready, grab your nearest & dearest and come enjoy the pool party of the year. With a delicious hog roast, ice cold drinks and lots of fun and games.
Fri 15th sept Adults Only Hypnosis party 7pm - 10pm Whether you’re a believer or need a little convincing, this promises to be a great night and if nothing else, we can guarantee you’ll have a laugh.

Cancellations These events are popular which means that people do miss out from time to time. As a courtesy to your fellow Holiday Home Owners, we ask that you let us know as early as possible if you are unable to attend an event you’ve booked. A charge of £5 per ticket will be applied to your account if you give us less than 7 day’s notice.
Event locations When the weather is particularly pleasant, we might take advantage of it and move some events outside. We’ll be sure to let you know if we do. There are a number of additional events that take place during the year, which you can find out about via our Holiday Home Ownership Team or on the website. So please keep checking!

Featuring the very best locally sourced food and ale, plus some international favourites. Inspired by a traditional street food market, there will be an amazing range of gastronomic delights to suit every palette. Picture giant paella, Jamaican jerk chicken or fresh local sausages. To add to the atmosphere, there will be some acoustic music and a family friendly vibe.
Rock the Lakes
Fri 7th & Sat 8th July Now in its 6th year, Rock the Lakes is back with two nights of rockin’ live music featuring a 5-piece resident band (Jetset), visiting guest tribute artists, and the show cast from Mill Rythe Holiday Village presenting live shows and features throughout. Also enjoy live music throughout Saturday afternoon. All presented outside at the Lakeside Amphitheatre. Line-up TBC, book early to avoid disappointment.

The Colour Festival
Sat 22nd July
A lively colourful weekend featuring our brightest Saturday of 2017. Inspired by the famous Indian ’Holi Festival of Colours’, a programme of family events daytime and evening centred around colour throwing powder and neon glow by night. Daytime will feature ‘colour gathering’ events; there will be a fun colour run for adults and children where guests can run the track whilst being covered from head to toe in a rainbow of colours. You can choose to run, walk, skip or dance your way around the course. There will be an awesome mix of DJs, MCs, the famous ‘Colour Throws’ and plenty of ‘Colour Crazy’ giveaways. Presented outside at the Lakeside Amphitheatre. Cameras at the ready, this weekend is as fun to watch as it is to take part.
The Annual Cream Pie Fight
evening, the sirens sound and we present our 1940s Blackout Party. Saturday night we go back to the future, back to the 1980s, we are having a house party in the spitfire bar featuring the UKs best 80s tribute bands, also featuring an 80s DJ. Guests are encouraged to wear vintage/themed outfits throughout the weekend with prizes for some of our best dressed. Line-up TBC, book early to avoid disappointment.
