2021 is a special year, not only are we feeling positive about reopening and a brighter year ahead, we have also just celebrated Away Resorts 13th Birthday, and I have just celebrated my tenyear work anniversary at Tattershall Lakes. To mark this occasion, I wanted to look back at how far the park has come in the last ten years, with some great facts about owners, team and park investments. Please turn over to the next page for a trip down memory lane and some before & after photos during my ten years at Tattershall Lakes so far. It’s had its ups and downs, but the last ten years for Tattershall Lakes have been a true adventure and we are so proud of how far this beautiful park has come. For the 2021 season we have our new pitch developments Bullrush Close, Woodland Retreat and the Pastures, we also have a new toddler play area.
What’s happening at
We have also recruited some new owners team members for 2021, dedicated to exclusively supporting you and the whole owner community here at Tattershall Lakes. Damian Price is our new Owner Experience Manager who will be heading up every aspect of your ownership needs from advice on events and activities to aftersales and warranty. We have a new Owner Events Coordinator Georgiana Harkus, who will be running some brilliant owner events, and we have James Adkins our new Guest Experience Manager, who will be supporting our Sublet Team to ensure we offer the best possible service to our subletting owners. There is an introduction to Damian and James over on page 10 of this newsletter. With our new dedicated owners team members and our commitment to ensuring your time here is the very best it can be, I hope we are in for the best year yet at Tattershall Lakes. 2021’s holidays bookings are strong, so if you would like to take advantage of that and sublet your holiday home through us with our hassle-free sublet scheme, please send us your letting dates in as soon as possible to take advantage of the demand and help towards your own running costs. A trip down
memory lane To celebrate Dean Poppy’s ten-year work anniversary and our Away Resorts 13th birthday we wanted to look back at how far this beautiful holiday park has come! Tattershall Lakes is no ordinary holiday park and we are very proud of it today, (we hope you are too)!
Ten years ago, we had 408 owners and 450 holiday homes on park, fast forward to today and we have 1218 lovely owners and 1489 holiday homes at Tattershall Lakes!

Private sublets This year private guests will need to have their passes bought directly by the owner they are privately subletting from and not at Guest Services on arrival. Owners are now able to purchase these passes online via their owner account. A full step-bystep guide on how to do this will be available to help you understand the new process. Passes will be given in the format of a digital QR code that will be scanned on the entrance of the Merlin Centre and it will give access for the dates of the holiday only, and only for the chosen number of guests. Guests can choose to print these passes or show

Passes between April 12th - May 16th Whilst there are restrictions for facilities in place throughout this period, Away Resorts has made the decision not to reduce the cost of facility passes at this time. Demand for our venues outside, along with takeaways will still be great, and along with social distancing it means we still require similar staff levels, and more checks in order to operate safely.
Also, please remember if you are privately subletting your holiday home can you ensure that your electric and gas certificates are up to date, and that our office has up to date copies. To avoid disappointment and to make sure your guests have an enjoyable stay from start to finish we do advise that you let your guests know of the venues that are open and closed and if facilities will need pre booking and how. Owners ‘Sporting Stars’ last lockdown quiz! Fingers crossed we are at the last hurdle and are sprinting towards re-opening in the coming weeks! Exciting news for our Away Resorts family, we have a new park.
St Ives Bay Holiday Park We are thrilled to announce our new park acquisition of a popular and long-established holiday park located on the north Cornish coast near Hayle and St Ives Bay. The 120-acre St Ives Bay Holiday Park has been in family ownership since 1962 and is nestled amongst the sand dunes with direct beach access and enjoying wide-ranging views towards St Ives. With 800 well-appointed chalets, static caravans and camping pitches, the park will become one of our eight much-loved resorts. This exciting change of hands of St Ives Bay Holiday Park from the current owner to Away Resorts will see continued investment in the resort to build on the excellent foundation that the current team have created over the years. In addition, Away Resorts proposes to start offering holiday home ownership at St Ives Bay in line with other parks in the portfolio, enabling families to enjoy regular breaks away.

Your 2021 Owner Events Calendar... Further to the latest government advice, we are hugely disappointed to say that we have been forced to cancel our Big Stars Weekend at Tattershall Lakes Country Park on the 11th – 12th June 2021. Whilst our park is open during this period with selected facilities and activities available, yours and our team’s safety is our number one priority. We do have lots of other events planned and we are determined to make 2021 a great year for our owners. As well as our big park events we also have brand new exclusive owner events lined up too. So, let’s start looking forward to 2021!
Gin & Cocktail Masterclasses Every Tuesday at 12pm-1pm in the Giggling Goose we have a Gin or Cocktail Masterclass reoccurring event for up to 12 owners. Kicking off on Tuesday 8th June with a Gin Masterclass at 12pm, then every other Tuesday from 8th June. And the Cocktail Masterclasses will be beginning 15th June at 12pm, then every other Tuesday from 15th June. Both rotating every week throughout the whole of 2021! Sunday Brunch From July, every last Sunday of each month at 10am in The Propeller Bar, for up to 36 owners to come and enjoy brunch and a drink together! The very first Sunday Brunch will be on Sunday 25th July 10am, we hope to see you there.

A website just for you! How to activate and access your online owners account As an owner, you can access our website created just for you. There are some useful areas on your owner’s website, to help you along with your ownership journey. Such as your owner events calendar, to help you plan your stays with us, owners newsletters to keep up to date with all park news, and there is an online account payments area for you to easily keep track of your account, whenever you like and wherever you are. You will be sent an account number and activation code via email soon after becoming an owner with us. On the app, it’s now even easier to manage your accounts! Download the Away Resorts app to view bills, make payments, view park information, book leisure activities, request maintenance services, purchase additional services such as gas bottles, order food and drinks, and you can even *submit your sublet dates now too! All you will need is your username and your password to login, this will be the same username and password you use for your online owners account. The Third Place social is our exclusive owners Facebook page where you can hear the very latest park news, get to know the neighbours, and ask us any questions. In 1989, Ray Oldenburg published a book about civil society, democracy and civil engagement. Capture Club 2021 started off with a bang! Although you were all missing visiting the park we had loads of amazing entries of your memories. The January Capture club winner was...Stephen Scarlet He submitted this photo below for the theme of ‘Family Together’. Stephen said that this photo was his first time at Tattershall Lakes with both his children and both grandson’s (even though one was yet to be born!) We loved this snap and it made us all look forward to family together time again. Stephen won an amazing Two-Night off peak Luxury Stay at Another Away Resorts Park!
If you have a hot tub, we want you and your family and friends to use and enjoy it safely. It is important to be aware of the potential risks that can arise. Hot tubs are a recognised source of diseases and there have been a number of recorded outbreaks of Legionnaires which have included fatalities linked to poorly designed and/or managed hot tubs. Legionnaires is usually caught by breathing in small droplets of contaminated water. This means that other park guests may be exposed to it even if they are not using your hot tub. We expect you to maintain your hot tubs to ensure the safety for all. The Health & Safety Executive guidance document is available to be downloaded for free from hse.gov.uk/legionnaires/spa-pools We also advise you to follow any other recommendations from the hot tub manufacturer and/or the supplier. Please note that if you are subletting your holiday home, you will be deemed to be undertaking a commercial operation and your legal responsibilities with regards to the management of hot tubs will be more stringent. For more information on your responsibilities or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sometimes there could be important messages we need to get to you quickly, so please take a minute to pop in, or call us to check we have your details correct. You might have changed mobile phone numbers, address or email address etc since we last updated our records for you. We also need up to date copies on file of your: • Holiday Home Insurance (every year) • Annual gas safety test (every year) • Electrical test (every 3 years) • Proof of address - Council tax & Utility bill within 3 months (every year) So please do get these copies to us at your earliest convenience so we are all up to date, thank you.

My first two and a half months here at Tattershall Lakes has flown by, and I can’t wait for the park to re-open and to meet you all. Prior to joining Away Resorts, I worked with Holidaybreak, also known as Eurocamp and Keycamp. I worked there for 10 years in numerous roles and most of my time was spent in the French Riviera and the Dordogne Regions of France. Since my return to the UK in 2012, I wanted to stay within the holiday and touring industry so then continued to work at UK holiday parks. I have been fortunate enough to manage and visit some of the largest holiday parks in Europe, but I can honestly say with hand on heart, that Tattershall Lakes is one of the most beautiful parks I have had the pleasure to work at. One of my main responsibilities is to ensure you get the very best communication and support throughout your ownership journey here. At Away Resorts we feel strongly that owners deserve clear and transparent communication with their parks, so as Owner’s Experience Manager I am looking to build on the way we as a park communicates with our owners. Joining me in the department will be our new Owner Events and Communications Coordinator. They will be producing exclusive owner events

Guest Experience Manager My name is James and I have recently joined the team at Tattershall Lakes as the new Guest Experience Manager. After spending 10 years with Haven in various roles across the UK I am excited to be joining such a beautiful park, with some of the best facilities I have ever seen on a holiday park! My role at Tattershall Lakes will be ensuring our guests have the best possible holiday experience. Also alongside supporting the guest experience, I will be supporting our Sublet Team to ensure we offer the best possible service to our subletting owners. Our great sublet service will ensure that subletting is simple, completely stress-free and an easy way to offset your running costs. Re-opening times from 12th April Following on from government updates fingers crossed we can re-open for overnight stays from Monday 12th April. We wanted to remind you that from April 12th there will still be some restrictions in place to follow guidelines and keep everybody safe.
12th April – 16th May: • You must stay in your holiday home and in your household bubble • Takeaway food and drink is available. The Spitfire Bar, The Propeller Bar and Bar 49 will be offering outdoor table service. • Our indoor venues must remain closed • Our gym, playgrounds, outdoor sportscourt, indoor pool & outside Lakeside Lido will be open. All activities will need to be booked in advance as number of spaces are restricted. • Y ou may meet another household or up to six people in outside areas, but this is not allowed in your holiday home. Outdoor dining from the 12th April will not require a booking but will be first come - first served. As owners you can order via the app for outdoor dining at the Spitfire, but we will also have staff taking orders outside up until the 17th May when we change to an indoor dining service. From 17th May all tables inside will require a booking reservation.

The Spitfire Bar 9am – 10pm Serving times: Breakfast 9am – 11.30am, Lunch 12pm- 3pm, Mains 12pm – 9pm Outside only, full menu available. We cannot guarantee outside tables, it will be based on first come first served table service only, but as an owner you can order via the app. You will be allocated a two-hour slot once you have an outside table.
