A welcome addition to the Away Resorts family, the five-star holiday village is located between Godshill and Fordingbridge. It has a wide range of accommodation including luxury woodland lodges, static holiday homes, camping pods and safari tents as well as fully serviced touring pitches.
It’s been a busy year for our amazingly hard-working team at Away Resorts HQ and across our six parks – yes, six parks. At the start of 2017, we acquired the much-loved and extremely well-known Sandy Balls Holiday Village in the New Forest National Park.

It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through the year and it’s great to see how busy our park has been already. Easter was particularly busy this year for us and it seems it was nationwide too with VisitEngland reporting that 6.6 million Britons opted to holiday in the UK during the long bank holiday weekend, up 10 per cent on last year’s figures. Summer bookings are looking strong too, which just goes to show there really is no place like home.

Ferry Crossing Did you know that as a valued owner to our park, you are able to purchase book of 20 single ferry crossings with Wightlink for just £425. This is to make sure that you can visit as easily as possible, we know you’ll want as much time in your holiday home as possible and as little disrupted travel time. Please pop in to Guest Services to find out more.
If you are looking to sublet your holiday home, please get in touch as it’s a great way to earn some money to help towards your fees. Guest Services have all the information you need on this.
Don’t forget to order gas bottles before 3pm to ensure delivery on the same day. Gas ordered after 3pm will be delivered the following day. We’d hate you to run out so our tip would be to have two bottles so that you have a spare for unexpected emergencies and it doesn’t ruin any plans.
1.5% Credit-card charges We have recently introduced a charge for payments made by credit card. The 1.5% transaction fee applied to credit-card payments covers all costs associated with processing the transaction of which the bank charge is just one element.
Maintenance team No job too small.....sounds like an advert, however it’s true! If you would like us to quote on any maintenance issues or one of those “I’ll do that job later” scenarios, we’ll be only too pleased to help. Pop into Guest Services to find out more.

Contact details Once again, as we do every year, can we please remind our owners to pop into Guest Services when you are next on park to check your contact details with us. It might be that you have moved address, changed your telephone number or e-mail address over the winter and we need to know. Sometimes we need to get messages or updates out to you quickly either by a text message or e-mail so it is important we have the right details so you don’t miss out on relevant park information.
Mini Golf We have a brand new mini golf facility, with fantastic views over the cliffs and out to sea. Guaranteed to make you smile, it’s the perfect activity to help you and your family unwind. Charming at sunset, make the most of it for just £1 per person per round.

We are kindly reminded by local environment officers that owners are responsible for the management of their hot tubs to control legionella etc. Please look at the guidance that can be found on the government’s HSE website: www.hse.gov.uk/ legionnaires/spa-pools.htm Rules: • All hot tubs must be within a veranda, not stand alone. • The electrics must be installed by a competent qualified electrician and a fixed installation certificate issued by the electrician and a copy supplied to Guest Services • A suitable risk assessment must also be carried out by the owner of the hot tub and suitable records maintained to ensure that holidaymakers and guests are using our park risk free. This makes for an enjoyable and hassle-free time for everyone on the park.

Our beach path is currently being resurfaced, with shiny new handrails to hang onto. We also have a path all the way along the beach to the café, making access much easier for all including pushchairs. Perfect for a family day at the beach, building sandcastles and relaxing in the beautiful weather that’s on its way!
Outdoor Pool Over the closed period we took on the massive task of emptying the water from the outdoor pool. We have spent time replacing tiles, edges and light surrounds before refilling it, making it all tip top for opening at Whitsun. We look forward to seeing you relaxing around it very soon.

events Colour festival Saturday 22nd July A lively colourful weekend featuring our brightest Saturday of 2017. Inspired by the famous Indian ’Holi Festival of Colours’, there will be a programme of family events during the daytime centred around colour throwing powder. These will include ‘colour gathering’ events; a fun colour run for adults and children where guests can run the track while being covered from head to toe in a rainbow of colours. You can choose to run, walk, skip or dance your way around the course. There will be an awesome mix of DJs, MCs, the famous ‘Colour Throws’ and plenty of ‘Colour Crazy’ give-aways. Presented outside. Cameras at the ready, this weekend is as fun to watch as it is to take part.

Foodstock, Festival of flavour Friday 11th August A weekend featuring the very best locally sourced food and ale, plus some international favourites. Inspired by a traditional street food market, there will be an amazing range of gastronomic delights to suit every palette. Picture giant paella, Jamaican jerk chicken or fresh local seafood. To add to the atmosphere, there will be some acoustic music and a family friendly vibe. All guests and owners are welcome to attend.
CREAM PIE FIGHT 2017
rock the bay 18th & 19th August Rock the Bay is back with two nights (Friday and Saturday) of rockin’ live music featuring music from our resident band (The Mix), visiting guest tribute artists, and the Whitecliff Bay Showcast presenting live shows and features throughout. There will also be live music throughout Saturday afternoon. All presented on a custom outdoor stage on the Nab Bar lawn overlooking the spectacular Whitecliff Bay. Line-up TBC, but one not to be missed.
Cream Pie Fight Sunday 27th August The annual tradition that is the ‘Cream Pie Fight’ returns. Our largest gathering of guests, armed with cream pie plates, have the biggest, messiest fun fight of the year.
