Official Souvenir Programme - Free

WELCOME TO KILWINNING CARNIVAL AND THE CROWNING OF THE 2014 SEGDOUNE ROYAL On behalf of Promoting Kilwinning I would like to welcome you to this Souvenir Guide to our annual Segdoune Royal Carnival. It is hard to believe that another year has passed and this is the 8th Carnival which Promoting Kilwinning has arranged since we were formed in 2006! We have tried again to organise an event which you and all your family can enjoy, with great acts and something to keep all ages entertained. After a lot of hard work and dedication over the years, Kilwinning was recently awarded Fairtrade Town status. This is something which we should all be proud of. The Commonwealth Baton will be travelling through the town during the afternoon of 15th July 2014. (Continued overleaf)

WORKING HARD FOR THE LOCAL AREA

SURGERIES: Last Monday of each month in the constituency office or telephone to make alternative arrangements.

I know that a couple of events are being organised to commemorate this so I would advise you all to check the local press for details. Every year it becomes more difficult to organise the events which we run, especially the Carnival and Christmas Lights (which this year will take place on Saturday, 22nd November) due to lack of volunteers and finances but each year we try our very best as we know how much you all enjoy these events. If you feel you can help please let us know. Finally, thank you to all our supporters and Royal family both past and elect for representing Kilwinning so well. I hope you all come along on the day to enjoy the Crowning and Carnival. With Best Regards Jackie Browne for Promoting Kilwinning Thanks go to everyone who helped make this year’s event happen, particularly: Whitehirst Park Community Association, Streetscene, Natural Beauty, Nick Smalley, Cooperative Funeral Care, John Bennett , PRYDE at the Playz, Scottish Police Force, Irvine Herald, Irvine Times, s1kilwinning.com, the advertisers in this programme, all of our acts‌ even those too late to be included at the time of printing - and a big thank you to all of the Kilwinning Primary Schools for their assistance in the selection of the Royal Party.

A place where inspiring things happen! At ANCHO, we pride ourselves on being one of Scotland’s most progressive and innovative housing organisations. The people who work with us say that it’s the personal service we provide that sets us apart. We have a fantastic track record for delivering the kind of services our communities need and want. In our first decade, we invested almost £19 million into our local area, improving hundreds of lives and creating neighbourhoods where people really want to live. There is always a lot going on at ANCHO – we never stand still. Our attitude to customer service is focussed on delivering whole solutions - if we can’t help someone ourselves, we always know someone who will. Our aim is not customer satisfaction – it is customer delight! And this year, we are proud to again be associated with Kilwinning Carnival – we hope everyone enjoys the celebrations!

KILWINNING CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON 2014 TAKES PLACE ON SATURDAY 22nd NOVEMBER Multiple Sclerosis Society Ayrshire & Arran Branch Much more than “just another charity shop” Many people are familiar with our charity shop in Kilwinning, but don’t realise that our premises at 84 Main Street also house the Ayrshire Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre. We have a ‘Quiet Room’ which is used for private meetings and counselling and our Information Point offers a wealth of leaflets and other materials…. and, of course, there’s our Charity Shop raising funds to help local people.
