JOB DESCRIPTION: Bread in Common Programme Development Worker Purpose of Role: To develop a sustainable and repeatable training programme using baking and allied skills and aimed at those furthest away from the job market. Reports to: Project Manager Responsible For: N/A Hours: As determined by the project plan. Pay Rates: 0.4 post for eighteen months (£16000 pro rata) Place of Work: 72 Hartshill Road, ST4 7RB and community locations as required by the project plan Holiday Entitlement: 20 days paid leave per annum, plus statutory Bank Holidays DELIVERABLES: 1. Liaise and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies (new and existing partners) 2. Recruit first cohort of participants from existing contacts, and develop and engage relationships with new partners who can signpost and support new participants onto the programme. 3. Support the learning and skills development of the participants; undertake an individual assessment with each participant and review this on an ongoing basis (using tools for example the Work Star and the Individual Key Working and Support); provide person-centred information, advice and guidance on progression routes 4. Review methodology, course content and structure of training programme with delivery partners 5. Co-ordinate all monitoring of activities, participant engagement and attendance, and evaluation of the programme impacts RESPONSIBILITIES • Design all sessions with the project manager • Order of all necessary materials and equipment • Ensure all involved follow the necessary Food Hygiene and Environmental Health standards and practices. • Manage project budgets as delegated by the project manager • Cash handling at two public sale events that may be set up to celebrate the end of courses


• Maintain monitoring and evaluation and prepare reports for stakeholders as deemed necessary to the successful completion of the project • Understand and conform to B Arts’ Health and Safety Policy and other key company documents • Any other duties that might reasonably be required to complete the work programme EXPERIENCE • Experience of co-ordinating programmes of work in community contexts • Experience of recruiting, motivating and managing volunteer programmes. • Experience of setting up and evaluating informal learning programmes • Experience of working with young people and vulnerable adults SKILLS • Strong inter-personal skills including working with diverse community groups. • Able to work independently, set and achieve objectives within a work programme. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

OTHER An Enhanced DBS Certificate will be required in advance of any work with the public. Food Hygiene Training will be provided. Full term and conditions will be provided in your Contract of Employment.
