หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร หรือหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ เกิดขึ้น จากการผลักดันของเครือข่ายภาคประชาชนและศิลปิน จนได้มีการ ลงนามในปฏิญญาว่าด้วยความร่วมมือด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ระหว่างกรุงเทพมหานครและพันธมิตรด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม และได้เปิดให้บริการสาธารณะตั้งแต่วันที่ 29 กรกฎาคม 2551 โดยสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ได้เสด็จ พระราชดำเนินทรงเปิดอาคารหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร อย่างเป็นทางการ เมื่อวันที่ 19 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2552 ตลอดระยะเวลา เกือบ 4 ปีที่ผ่านมา หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ได้มีการจัดกิจกรรมที่สำคัญอัน ทรงคุณค่า และเป็นประโยชน์ต่อสาธารณะชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง มูลนิธิหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานครได้รับความไว้วางใจ จากกรุงเทพมหานครให้เป็นผู้ดูแลและบริหารหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ผมในนามของคณะกรรมการมูลนิธิฯ และผู้บริหารหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ทุกคน รู้สึกยินดีและขอขอบคุณกรุงเทพมหานคร ตลอดจนผู้มีส่วน เกี่ยวข้องทุกท่านที่ได้ส่งเสริมและให้ความร่วมมือในการขับเคลื่อน การดำเนินงานด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ จนได้รับ ความสำเร็จด้วยดี คณะกรรมการมูลนิธิฯ ได้กำหนดวิสัยทัศน์หอศิลป กรุงเทพฯ ให้ก้าวสู่การเป็นหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมเพื่อประชาชน เพื่อส่งเสริมความหลากหลายทางศิลปวัฒนธรรม เพื่อพัฒนาสังคม ที่ยั่งยืนตลอดไป หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ เป็นสถานที่ส่งเสริมความหลากหลายด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม เพื่อให้เกิดความคิดสร้างสรรค์ จินตนาการ และ แรงบันดาลใจให้กับเยาวชนคนรุ่นใหม่ และประชาชนคนไทย อันจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนาสังคมที่ยั่งยืนในอนาคต มูลนิธิหอศิลปฯ จะยังคงยึดมั่นในพันธกิจนี้ต่อไปในการรณรงค์ให้ประชาชนและ ชุมชนรู้รักศิลปะ และสนับสนุนกระบวนการสร้างการศึกษา สนทนา แลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างศิลปินกับประชาชน เพื่อให้เกิดภูมิปัญญาใหม่ สร้างคุณค่า แรงดลบันดาลใจทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมให้แก่ประชาชน และชุมชนเพื่อความสมดุลในการพัฒนาสังคมต่อไป นายอภิรักษ์ โกษะโยธิน ประธานกรรมการมูลนิธิหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre or BACC came forth by civil society and Artists’ Network ‘s campaign which resulted in declaration of cultural collaboration between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Artists’ Network and then has been publicly operated since 29 July 2008. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit presided over the official opening of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre on 19 August 2009. Almost four years, BACC has continuously hosted many admired and beneficial activities for the public. Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation has earned a trust from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to operate and to conduct Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. I, in the name of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation Committee, am truly delighted and grateful to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration along with anyone is concerned for their collaboration and support BACC’s supervision cultural programmes and considerable accomplishment. Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation Committee has imposed BACC’s vision for gearing up to be cultural and art centre for a multitude and to foster cultural diversity concerning sustainable social development. Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is the place where cultural diversity is promoted for it could contribute creativity, imagination, and inspiration to young generation and Thai people, which lead to future sustainable social development. Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Foundation will persist in our commitment to encourage people and community for art appreciation, to grant dialogues among artists and people for generating new wisdom, to confer to the general public and community inspiration in art and culture, and to attain the balance of social development. There is rejoice in witnessing the many aspects of growth and expansion of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). In the last year, many important and remarkable events as well as activities have occured which could be taken as an auspicious sign for good beginnings and determinedly moving forward. As an art centre for the general public, the BACC maintains its mission to provide urban art and cultural activities in order to support art and cultural education for the community and the people of Bangkok. We are now in the process of organisational restructuring and administrative adjustments in order to better cater to the various demands and facets of art exhibitions. We are also currently renovating our infrastructure to meet the standard of operation and activities for exhibits. During the past year, we collaborated with artists, organisations, educational institutions, the community, and the state and private sectors. Our national and international collaborations have resulted in the exchange of valuable knowledge and experiences that brought forth distinguishing art exhibitions and activities. As a representative of BACC’s Board of Directors, I would like to express gratitude towards every individuals and organisations, state and private, and the different artists, who contributed to each exhibition and art shows that took place here at BACC. In the future, BACC will continue to reinforce strong working bonds between organizations and individuals to sustainably support art and cultural activities. We will establish the ‘friends of bacc’ project, coordinate with collaborators and allocate resources to improve the urban community’s and the nation’s art and cultural agenda, and also act as a hub for the ASEAN community to participate in the exchange of knowledge as well as expanding collaborations on a regional and international level. ปี 2554 เป็นปีที่ 3 ของการเปิดให้บริการหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่ง กรุงเทพมหานคร หรือ หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งนับเป็นปีของการเริ่มต้น วาระสำคัญในการบริหารงานองค์กร รวมทั้งความหลากหลายของ เนื้อหาด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมนำเสนอผ่านนิทรรศการและกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่ได้นำมาบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือรายงานประจำปี หอศิลปวัฒนธรรม แห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร 2554 เล่มนี้ ในด้านการบริหารงาน กรุงเทพมหานครได้โอนสิทธิ์การบริหารงาน ของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ให้คณะกรรมการมูลนิธิฯ ด้วยการสนับสนุน งบประมาณการบริหารและการจัดกิจกรรมจากกรุงเทพมหานคร มีคณะกรรมการบริหารและคณะที่ปรึกษาด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมแขนง ต่างๆ ให้ข้อเสนอแนะและมีส่วนร่วมในการผลักดันการนำเสนองาน ด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้แก่ประชาชน ในปีที่ผ่านมา หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ จัดนิทรรศการและกิจกรรมศิลปวัฒนธรรมอย่างต่อเนื่องและมีคุณภาพ รวม 146 งาน การจัด นิทรรศการมีการนำเสนอเนื้อหาที่หลากหลาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นนิทรรศการ ที่จับประเด็นและความสนใจของประชาชนได้อย่างเหมาะสมและ ได้รับการตอบรับจากผู้เข้าชมเป็นอย่างดี อย่าง “เมืองจมน้ำ” และ “น้ำ + ใจ” นิทรรศการที่ส่งเสริมองค์ความรู้ด้านประวัติศาสตร์ศิลปะ ของไทย อย่าง “นามไร้รูป” นิทรรศการที่สร้างการยอมรับในความ แตกต่างและความหลากหลายทางความคิด ความเชื่อ ภูมิหลังทาง วัฒนธรรม เช่น “ตรรกะสังสรรค์” และ “ลีลาของลายใหม่” นิทรรศการที่สร้างการยอมรับระดับสากล เช่น “จังหวะก้าว…อาเซียน 10+1 ยุทธศาสตร์ ศิลปะวิธี” และ “Dialogue” งานศิลปะร่วมสมัย ไทย-เบลเยี่ยม รวมทั้งนิทรรศการที่ส่งเสริมการแสดงออก ความคิด สร้างสรรค์แนวใหม่ และโดยคนรุ่นใหม่ ได้แก่ For Wall Painting 2 และนิทรรศการในโครงการ BACC experimental

2011 is the third year of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre or BACC’s operation which could be taken as a year of remarkable beginning of organization administration and diversity of themes that were presented through distinctive exhibitions and activities. All were written down in this Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Annual Report 2011. About administration, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has assigned the right of administration to Bangkok Art and Culture Foundation Committee with administrative and activity budget supported by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration since 19 August 2011. BACC has Board of Directors together with art and culture advisors who has supervised and gave recommendations and involved in accomplishing art and cultural operation to promote appreciation and education on art and culture to public. In the last year, the amount of various and benevolent art and culture exhibitions and activities consistently took placed and some of them hosted by BACC is numbered for 146 programmes. BACC’s programmes featured exhibitions dealing with diverse themes, for instance the exhibitions like “Mueng Jom Nam” and “Water + Empathy 2011” widely gained both a lot of public attention and great acceptance; “Finding Abstraction” was the exhibition that promoted historical knowledge of Thai modern art; “Dialogic” and “Emerging Patterns” were the exhibitions that built up an acceptance of diversity and different thoughts, beliefs and also cultural backgrounds; there were exhibitions that gained international acceptance like “Asian Pulse-10+1 Art Tactic” and “Dialogue: Design and Contemporary Art Thai-Belgium”; and finally, For Wall Painting 2 and exhibitions under BACC Experimental Project encouraged artistic expression and new creativity by new generation artists.

กิจกรรมการศึกษา หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ มีการจัดบรรยายความรู้ด้าน ศิลปะร่วมสมัย โดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทั้งชาวไทยและต่างประเทศ อาทิ การบรรยาย โดย Dr. Carolyn Christov Barkarghiev ภัณฑารักษ์ ของงาน documenta 13 ประเทศเยอรมัน และ Dr. John Clark จาก University of Sydney ประเทศออสเตรเลีย กิจกรรมนำชม นิทรรศการให้แก่นักเรียนและกลุ่มผู้สนใจ และการจัดพิมพ์หนังสือ ให้ความรู้และสูจิบัตรประกอบนิทรรศการ อาทิ หนังสือ “10 คำถาม ที่คุณอยากรู้เกี่ยวกับศิลปะ” ด้านความร่วมมือ มีการสร้างกลุ่มเครือข่ายใหม่ๆ ที่หลากหลาย เปิดพื้นที่และโอกาสสำหรับศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ เป็นเวทีของนิสิตนักศึกษา และสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภายในประเทศ โดยการให้ บริการพื้นที่สำหรับจัดกิจกรรมและนิทรรศการจากหน่วยงานต่างๆ เช่น สถานทูต องค์กรระหว่างประเทศ สถาบันการศึกษา หน่วยงาน ราชการ องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน ฯลฯ นอกจากนี้ มีการจัดกิจกรรมพิเศษร่วมกับเครือข่ายองค์กรศิลปะ ศิลปิน และประชาชน เพื่อหาทางช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุทกภัย ซึ่งเป็น สถานการณ์รุนแรงแห่งปี ได้แก่ ”Art for Help เครือข่ายศิลปะกู้เมืองจมน้ำ” โดยจัดงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมเพื่อหาทุน และทำงาน ภาคสนามด้านศิลปะบำบัดแก่กลุ่มผู้ประสบอุทกภัย รวมทั้งร่วมกับ สถาบันเกอเธ่ จัดเวิร์คช็อปกู้หนังสือจมน้ำให้แก่ห้องสมุดต่างๆ

About educational activities, BACC has offered public lectures on Contemporary Art by both Thai and foreign art historians, curators and museum directors, for example, a lecture given by Dr. Carolyn Christov Barkarghiev, curator of documenta 13, Germany, and a lecture given by Dr. John Clark from University of Sydney, Australia, etc. BACC has also provided exhibition guidance for students and those who are interested, along with publication of art books and exhibition catalogues such as “10 Questions About Art You Want to Know”. Pertaining to collaboration, BACC has built up many different new networks, offered space and opportunity for new young artists, and been a channel for the exposure of university students. BACC also has developed co-operations by providing space and very often co-organised activities and exhibitions with various organizations such as embassies, international and regional art and cultural organizations, educational institutions, governmental sectors, nongovernmental organizations and so on. Besides, BACC in co-operation with artist, musicians, designers and public activists hosted special activities to assist victims of severe flood which was major disaster happened last year. The project named “Art for Help” featured art and culture showcase and concert as fund raising event and carried out fieldwork to help release the stress of flood victims with art therapy programme. BACC also collaborated with Goethe Institut in organizing workshop on book and document rescue from the damage of flood by experts from Germany as well as encouraging the setting up of library networks for future collaboration on long-term problem solving.

หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ยังมีงานสำคัญที่ต้องดำเนินการอีกหลายอย่าง ทั้งการจัดโซนพื้นที่การแสดงงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมและงานบริการให้มี ความชัดเจนขึ้น การดำเนินงานร่วมกับเครือข่ายศิลปินในการขับเคลื่อน ผลักดันพัฒนาองคาพยพด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม และเป็นสื่อกลางในการ เชื่อมโยงงานเพื่อผลักดันนโยบายด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งการขยาย ฐานความรู้ด้านอื่นๆ ให้เข้มข้นขึ้น นอกเหนือจากด้านทัศนศิลป์ ได้แก่ ภาพยนตร์ ดนตรี วรรณกรรม ศิลปะการแสดง ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การขยาย ฐานเครือข่ายศิลปินผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงาน และการขยายกลุ่มผู้ร่วม กิจกรรมให้มีความหลากหลายมากยิ่งขึ้น ในฐานะผู้อำนวยการหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ขอขอบคุณผู้บริหารกรุงเทพมหานคร องค์กรศิลปะ เครือข่ายศิลปิน ผู้มีส่วนร่วมในการรณรงค์เพื่อการเกิดหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ องค์กรพัฒนา ต่างๆ สื่อมวลชน และผู้สนับสนุนทุกท่าน ที่ได้ร่วมกันส่งเสริมการ ดำเนินงานของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ซึ่งเป็นหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมของเมือง มาโดยตลอด นอกจากนี้ ต้องขอขอบคุณคณะกรรมการมูลนิธิฯ และกรรมการบริหาร สำหรับวิสัยทัศน์และการสละเวลาอันมีค่า ในการให้ข้อคิดเห็นและคำแนะนำต่างๆ แก่ทีมงาน หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ในการดูแลของคณะกรรมการมูลนิธิฯ และกรรมการ บริหาร จะดำเนินงานอย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพต่อไป เพื่อผลักดัน กระบวนการสร้างความรู้เกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยของไทย และสร้างความเคลื่อนไหวอย่างต่อเนื่องไปสู่ระดับประเทศและระดับ สากลต่อไป นางลักขณา คุณาวิชยานนท์ ผู้อำนวยการหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร

BACC still has many tasks to pursue of which among them are designating space for art and culture exhibition and recreational zone, co-operating with Artists’ network to develop and prosper art and culture sectors, and working as agent for the coordination and formulation of cultural policy, together with extending and strenghtening another fields of knowledge apart from visual art such as films, music, literature, performing arts, that could expand artists’ network and serve various and wider targeted audience. As the Director of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, I would like to express my gratitude to the Bangkok Governor and the Administrative Board of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, art organizations, artists’ network, all parties and everyone who had fought campaign for the establishment of BACC, members of the press and media, and also every supporter who had encouraged BACC’s operation as metropolitan art and culture center right from the start. I would also like to sincerely thank the Foundation’s Board of Directors and Executive Committees together with all advisors for their wisdom and guidance to our administrative team. BACC, under the supervision of this Foundation’s Board of Directors and Committees, will continue to strive at our best to fostering the process of increasing and broadening knowledge of Thai contemporary art and culture. Furthermore, as the conglomeration of AEC is drawing near, BACC will effortly move towards providing platform for the partnership among art and cultural institutions in ASEAN as well as gaining recognition on the global level. FOR Wall Painting 2

26 มีนาคม-25 กันยายน 2554 บริเวณทางขึ้น ชั้น 7-9 นำเสนอศิลปะบนผนังในแนว Post-graffiti ซึ่งศิลปินได้ ประยุกต์รูปแบบงาน graffiti มาสร้างสรรค์ในสไตล์งาน ของตัวเอง ออกนอกระบบแบบแผน ด้วยเทคนิคการ ทำงานที่หลากหลาย ไม่เพียงเฉพาะการใช้สีสเปรย์พ่น แต่ยังใช้อะครีลิค พาสเทล และเทคนิคการสกรีนไป บนผนัง ด้วยแนวคิดแบบ Brave New World by PostGraffiti Blood ศิลปินทั้ง 16 คนพร้อมประสบการณ์ เฉพาะที่ได้รับการหล่อหลอมภายในวัฒนธรรมความเป็น เมืองสมัยใหม่ ได้ถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกนึกคิด และความ สัมพันธ์กับสิ่งรอบตัวในเทคนิคและลีลาที่ถนัด ภาพเขียน แต่ละส่วนแสดงให้เห็นถึงความขัดแย้งโกลาหลที่เกิดขึ้น เมื่ออยู่รวมกัน เนื้อหาที่เป็นจินตนาการเฉพาะประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่เบาหวิว ไร้เหตุผล หรือหนักแน่น กำเนิดขึ้นอย่างกล้าหาญ พันธนาการแห่งสุนทรียะถูก ปลดปล่อย เพื่อการรับรู้จากสังคม เป็นอิสระจากการ ครอบงำโดยมาตรฐานใดมาตรฐานหนึ่ง และเป็นการ สร้างต่อสุนทรียะของศิลปะบนผนังในที่สาธารณะให้ไป ไกลขึ้น

26 March-25 September 2011 Exhibition Ramp from 7th-9th floor With concept of ‘Brave New World by PostGraffiti Blood’, 16 artists with individual experiences molded by urban culture express thought, emotion, and relation of surroundings through their unique techniques and styles. Each of paintings when existed together, results chaos and conflicts; ranging from flimsy, senseless story to solid and stable substance. Constraint of aesthetic has been released for public recognition, freed from fixed frames of thoughts, advancing new aesthetic for public art. As each painting holds its identity, at the same time it learns to yield. Between extreme ends of spectrum, a community arises, setting up a new balance among dissimilarities. It is not a fusion, but a coexisting of individualities and a whole.

Guang Feng Cheng (จีน) เป็นการตั้งคำถามผ่านงานศิลปะใน 3 เรื่องราว ได้แก่ แม่น้ำสาละวิน เผ่าชนคนทะเล และแม่น้ำโขง ซึ่งเป็นผล งานสร้างสรรค์หลากรูปแบบทั้งงานติดตั้งจัดวางในพื้นที่ งานแสดงสด ภาพถ่าย วีดีทัศน์ ข้อเขียน บทกวี บทเพลง โดยศิลปินได้ลงพื้นที่ใช้เวลาคลุกคลีกับชาวบ้าน ศึกษาข้อมูลทุกแง่มุมก่อนจะสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน เพื่อใช้ ศิลปะเป็นเครื่องมือเล่าเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชนสู่ สาธารณชน ศิลปินเลือกพื้นที่ซึ่งกำลังมีประเด็นปัญหา จากโครงการพัฒนา อันทำให้ผู้คนซึ่งอยู่อาศัยกับ ทรัพยากรเหล่านี้มายาวนานหลายชั่วคนจะต้องกระเด็น ไปจากพื้นที่ หรืออยู่อย่างแปลกหน้าในถิ่นที่กำเนิดของ ตัวเอง ไม่มีใครสามารถหยุดยั้งการพัฒนาหรือการ เปลี่ยนแปลงได้ เพียงแต่ว่าพวกคุณจะรับผิดชอบชีวิต ผู้คนเหล่านั้นได้อย่างไร พวกคุณจะหยิบพวกเขาเหล่านั้น ไปวางไว้ที่ไหนอย่างอยู่เย็นเป็นสุข เท่าเทียมกับพวกคุณ

The artists have spent time with people in the local communities interviewing there and getting to understand issues involved. The outcome of the project is a body of works telling the stories of their troubled lives, in the process voicing concerns to the public. The artists have worked in areas that have been encroached upon developmental projects resulting in people to migrate, or to live as strangers in their homelands. The areas represented in the exhibition: Salween River and dam building, on the border of Thailand and Myanmar, Sea nomads on the Andaman and Mekong River.

The exhibition putted forward unique perspectives of 12 artists and contemporary cultural activists, leading to a realm of contemporary cultures that propels Chiang Mai dynamic art and social scene, with unique approaches. It is evident in various attempts, whether it is creating alternative art spaces without support from authority, modifying the use of various media to communicate art to broader audiences, or constructing ground-works for alternative livings leading to social changes with forefront visions.

Khemarat Kongsook This exhibition was derived from the case study on modern Thai abstract sculptural art by Asst. Prof. Tuksina Pipitkul who has studied works and thoughts of four renowned artists. The exhibition is a presentation of different creative processes involved, from origin of ideas, study, and discovery of attributes found in abstraction that results in elimination of unnecessary, to interpret emotions into physical forms. The communication in form of abstraction by the artists is thus channeled into a sculptural form that is contemporary reflecting views and backgrounds of each individual. The objective of this exhibition is to show that creation of abstract art is not something out of reach for audience, but actually something very close to his or her life experiences.

Singh Intrachooto-Architecture (Sleeping) The Dialogic exhibition has thus been created to present the art of seeking knowledge through the process of questioning the state of our “humanity”, cycles of “Birth, Aging, Sickness, Death, Eating, Shitting, Humping, and Sleeping”. One of the inspirations for this exhibition is the works of Sathirakoses, or Phraya Anuma Rajadhon, the commoner, philosopher, historian, linguist, literary, theologist, writer, translator, and contrarian that refuses to put an end to his curiosity. The name of the exhibition, “Takka Sangsan”, (Dialogic) is derived from combining the words “Takka” (Logic) and “Sangsan” (Socialize). “Takka” comes from the Sanskrit and Pali words meaning the act of thinking and considering, whereas today it is equivalent to the word “logic” in English which refers to correctness as a result of reason. “Sangsan” comes from the Sanskrit word meaning the act of socializing and conversing (having “dialogues”) between people as well as thoughts and objects. Therefore, the literal definition of “Takka Sangsan” (Dialogic) would be the meeting of thoughts that create social conversation spaces for knowledge through different branches of art.

Ekaluck Peanpanawate The exhibition is a model of circumstances projecting through art and design applying imagination and creativity to various conditions of what could happen if Bangkok was to face a major natural disaster. Through imagining of a never-ending torrent of rain that sinks the entire city resulting in situations of having to flee or surviving on decreasing amount of food and deadly widespread epidemics, the artists must find light at the end of the tunnel that could be the answer. The participating artists and designers have channeled a variety of ideas to create atmosphere, emotions, and feelings caused by concepts of such a grim future. All in all, the exhibition is an exchange of knowledge and information with the aim of creating awareness and action that will contribute to public awareness towards conserving and sustaining our environment.

10 ธันวาคม 2553-6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2554 ห้องนิทรรศการหลัก ชั้น 8 จำนวนผู้เข้าชม 18,163 คน สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ทรงมีพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ พระราชทานภาพถ่าย ฝีพระหัตถ์ เพื่อจัดแสดงในนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ จำนวน 165 ภาพ ที่ได้ทรงบันทึกไว้ในช่วงปี 2553 ตามแนว คิดหลักในการถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกผ่านการถ่ายภาพ โดยแสดงออกถึงความเป็นธรรมชาติ แบบสบาย สบาย ไร้ข้อจำกัด เพื่อสะท้อนถึงประสบการณ์ส่วนพระองค์ ผ่านบรรยากาศ ผู้คนที่ทรงพบเห็น พืช และสัตว์ต่างๆ ในอิริยาบทที่บ่งบอกถึงอารมณ์ที่ต่างกัน แบ่งเป็น 8 หมวดหมู่ ได้แก่ ทิวทัศน์ ผู้คน แห่งหน เรื่องราว ศรัทธา สิงสาราสัตว์ ขำขำ และมุมมอง 068

The exhibition offers eight categories, namely: Landscape, People, Places, Happenings, Religious, Nature & Animals, Humor and Abstract. It is opened to the public to admire the royal photographic talent of Princess Sirindhorn. Some pictures demonstrate HRH’s sense of humor and her perspectives on various situations.

What usually is not explained, is the unspoken that is selfexplanatory, this hidden element is precisely what Dialogues seeks to unveil: the symbols, myths and traditional imagery that captured by the artists, who appropriate them, reinterpret them and divert them without our knowledge. Dialogues allows the public to form its own keys to understand the world that is often foreign, in addition to this re-discovery of their own culture. It is an intention of this project that the visitor will naturally reinterpret these symbols according to his own experience.

The message from the south is probably more abstract and contemplative: brooding the representational question is certain to be of topical interest, considering that we are now taking for granted that living in our modern society, we are wrapped in images, both real and false.

ศิลปกรรมแห่งชาติ ครั้งที่ 57

The 57th National Exhibition of Art

1 ตุลาคม-1 พฤศจิกายน 2554 ห้องนิทรรศการหลัก ชั้น 9 และลานด้านหน้าอาคาร จำนวนผู้เข้าชม 20,142 คน ผลงานที่นำมาจัดแสดงที่หอศิลปฯ มีมากกว่า 100 ชิ้น ได้แก่ ผลงานที่ได้รับรางวัล จำนวน 8 ชิ้น ผลงานร่วม แสดง ประเภทประติมากรรม 17 ชิ้น และประเภท จิตรกรรมและสื่อผสม จำนวนกว่า 80 ชิ้น ผลงานที่ได้ รับรางวัลชนะเลิศ แบ่งเป็น 4 ประเภท คือ จิตรกรรม ประติมากรรม ภาพพิมพ์ และสื่อประสม การแสดง ศิลปกรรมแห่งชาติครั้งนี้ โดยรวมแสดงให้เห็นถึงภาพ ความเคลื่อนไหวทั้งในเนื้อหา รูปแบบ ความคิดของ ศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ในวงการศิลปะปัจจุบัน การแสดงศิลปกรรมแห่งชาติ จัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2492 โดย ศาสตราจารย์ศิลป์ พีระศรี เป็นผู้ริเริ่มจัดขึ้น มีวัตถุประสงค์จะส่งเสริมให้ศิลปินไทยมีเวทีเพื่อการ แสดงออกด้านศิลปะสมัยใหม่ในระดับชาติ ซึ่งนำไปสู่ การพัฒนาศักยภาพของศิลปินไทยให้ก้าวหน้าสู่ระดับ นานาชาติ จัดแสดงต่อเนื่องจนถึงปัจจุบัน 57 ครั้ง

1 October-1 November 2011 Main Gallery, 9th floor and Open Space 20,142 Visitors There are more than 100 artworks exhibited at BACC which 8 of them were awarded. There are also 17 sculptures and over 80 paintings/mixed media. Awards were categorised by medium; painting, sculpture, print, and mixed media. Overall, the 57th National Exhibition Of Art showed trend of contemporary artists in terms of content, context, style, and influences. The National Exhibition of Art was held in 1949 for the first time by Prof. Silpa Bhirasri. The purpose of the National Exhibition of Art was to support Thai artists to be able to show their creativity and artistic quality in contemporary art which would then lead from national reception to international. The National Exhibition of Art has been held continuously for 57 times up to the present.

นิทรรศการจิตรกรรมเฉลิมพระเกียรติ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว รางวัลพู่กันทอง นำเสนอโดย ธนาคารกสิกรไทย

19 ตุลาคม-20 พฤศจิกายน 2554 ห้องนิทรรศการหลัก ชั้น 7 จำนวนผู้เข้าชม 32,444 คน จัดแสดงผลงานที่ได้รับรางวัลและคัดเลือกจากผลการ ประกวดจิตรกรรมเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จ พระเจ้าอยู่หัว รางวัลพู่กันทอง จำนวน 94 ชิ้น จาก ทั้งหมด 292 ชิ้น ของศิลปิน 260 คน ทั่วประเทศที่เข้า ร่วมประกวด เนื่องในโอกาสมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 84 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2554 ซึ่งผลงานชื่อ “ความทรงจำที่ประทับใจ 2” ของนายนิวัฒน์ ชูทวน ได้รับรางวัลจิตรกรรมยอดเยี่ยม “พู่กันทอง” โดยผลงาน ดังกล่าวมีความโดดเด่นแสดงให้เห็นถึงความผาสุกของ ปวงประชาใต้ร่มพระบารมี สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงสังคมชนบท ที่มีความเป็นอยู่เรียบง่าย นำภูมิปัญญาของท้องถิ่นมาใช้ ในการดำเนินชีวิต ซึ่งก่อให้เกิดความรัก และความสามัคคี ความเอื้อเฟื้อเผื่อแผ่ ช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกัน จนทำให้คนในสังคมนั้น ๆ อยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสงบสุข

19 October-20 November 2011 Main Gallery,7th floor 32,444 Visitors The exhibition displays ninety-four entries from 292 paintings of 260 artists in Golden Paintbrush Competition celebrating the 84th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King, December 5, 2011. The Grand Prize, the golden paintbrush go to Mr. Niwat Chootoun, a young artist from Surat Thani, for his painting, “Impressive Memory 2” depicts the contentment of the people under His Majesty the King’s gracious reign, reflected in the simple lifestyles of rural society. Guided by local folk wisdom giving rise to love and unity, hospitality and mutual assistance, the people live happily and at peace fully together.

8-30 ธันวาคม 2554 ห้องนิทรรศการหลัก ชั้น 9 จำนวนผู้เข้าชม 10,636 คน ศิลปิน-นักถ่ายภาพ สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ช่างภาพมืออาชีพและสมัครเล่น ชาวไทยและ ชาวต่างชาติ สืบเนื่องจากเหตุการณ์มหาอุทกภัยในจังหวัดต่างๆ ของประเทศไทย สร้างความเสียหายทั้งด้านชีวิตและ ทรัพย์สินของรัฐ เอกชน และประชาชนอย่างมากมาย นิทรรศการนี้จึงจัดขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อบันทึก เหตุการณ์ครั้งประวัติศาสตร์และสะท้อนน้ำใจในการ ช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุทกภัย อีกทั้งเพื่อนำทุนบริจาคเข้า กองทุนบูรณะโบราณสถาน กรมศิลปากร ที่สำคัญได้รับ พระมหากรุณาธิคุณอย่างยิ่ง ที่สมเด็จพระเทพรัตน- ราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี พระราชทานภาพถ่าย ฝีพระหัตถ์เหตุการณ์อุทกภัย เพื่อร่วมแสดงใน นิทรรศการครั้งนี้ และเปิดรับสมัครให้ผู้สนใจทั้ง ช่างภาพมืออาชีพและสมัครเล่น ชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติส่งผลงานภาพถ่าย เพื่อรับการคัดเลือกและเผยแพร่ ในนิทรรศการ

The exhibition features photographs from amateur and professional photographers. The Culture Ministry invited interested Thai or foreign professional or amateur photographers to submit their digitalformat photos of flood disaster so that they could be selected to be displayed at the photo exhibition. The ministry also received the photos taken by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn being presented in this exhibition.

BACC Experimental Project

ดำเนินงานโดย หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร

โครงการเชิงทดลองของหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ เป็นการนำเสนอโครงการจาก ภัณฑารักษ์และศิลปินในรูปแบบนิทรรศการขนาดเล็ก สนับสนุนการนำเสนอ ความคิดในเชิงค้นหาของผู้ผลิตงานที่เป็นผลมาจากความเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่าง ไม่หยุดนิ่งของวัฒนธรรม สิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์และบทบาทของ ผู้คนที่สับเปลี่ยนสืบเนื่องจากการเกิดขึ้นของเหตุการณ์ทางสังคมต่างๆ จุดประสงค์ของโครงการคือการกระตุ้นให้ภัณฑารักษ์ ศิลปิน หรือผู้ผลิตงาน เกิดการรื้อคิด ทบทวน พิจารณาตั้งคำถามเพื่อหาเหตุผล หรือทดลอง ความเป็นไปได้ในแง่มุมต่างๆ ทางศิลปะและสื่อสารสาระสำคัญเหล่านี้สู่ สาธารณชนในวงกว้าง จากประวัติศาสตร์ทางความคิดที่ยึดถือเป็นประเพณี นิยมและยากต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลง โครงการนี้นำเสนอความคิดย้อนแยง ต่อข้อปฏิบัติที่มีอยู่เดิม การทดลองและปฏิบัติเพื่อให้พ้นกรอบข้อจำกัด หรือค้นหาคำอธิบายเพิ่มเติมจากที่มีไม่เพียงพอในยุคสมัย เพื่อสร้างกระแส ความคิดอันหลากหลาย ให้เกิดบทสนทนาระหว่างสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในอดีต ปัจจุบันและความเป็นไปได้ในอนาคต BACC Experimental Project ในปี 2554 นำเสนอนิทรรศการจากโครงการหอศิลป์บริการ โดยภัณฑารักษ์ สุรศักดิ์ แซ่โง้ว และ พิสิฎฐ์กุล ควรแถลง จัดบริเวณวินมอเตอร์ไซค์ ข้างอาคารหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ โดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้ จะทำอย่างไรเมื่อพวกเราหลงทาง?”

6 กุมภาพันธ์-6 เมษายน 2554 ศิลปิน: ศุภพงษ์ เหล่าธีรศิริ นิทรรศการศิลปะที่นำเสนอผ่านผลงานวาดเส้นจำนวน 9 ภาพ ที่ศิลปินได้ ขอให้ผู้ประกอบอาชีพมอเตอร์ไซด์รับจ้าง ณ หอศิลป์บริการ ทั้ง 9 ท่าน ช่วยวาดภาพแผนที่เส้นทางในการเดินทางไปยังบ้าน “3147966 cm3” + “THAI ASS ”

7 เมษายน-7 มิถุนายน 2554 ศิลปิน: ต่อลาภ ลาภเจริญสุข และ วารารี่ นิโคเลย์ ประกอบด้วยนิทรรศการศิลปะ 2 นิทรรศการ คือ “3147966 cm3” และ THAI ASS โดยหอศิลป์บริการได้ทำงานร่วมกับโครงการ “เชียงใหม่นาว” ที่จัดโดยหอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ ในช่วงเวลาเดียวกัน เพื่อเชื่อมโยงผลงานศิลปะ ภายในหอศิลป์กับ Mobile Gallery พื้นที่ของศิลปะในสาธารณะเข้าไว้ ด้วยกัน เราจำต้องเป็นกระเพาะอาหารของกันและกัน

ภัณฑารักษ์: ปรัชญา พิณทอง 28 สิงหาคม-26 ธันวาคม 2554 สร้างผลงานศิลปะผ่านเสียงที่ดำเนินงานผ่านบริการการสื่อสารโทรคมนาคม ซึ่งก่อนนั้นเคยรู้จักกันเพียงแค่เป็นโปรแกรมสื่อสารทางคอมพิวเตอร์ผ่าน เสียงของสายที่ช่วยให้ผู้ใช้สามารถป้อนและดึงข้อมูลผ่านทางโทรศัพท์ได้ เท่านั้น 086

BACC Experimental Project

Presented by Bangkok Art and Culture Centre

BACC Experimental Project is a project that has an aim to support small-sized exhibitions or art activities from curators and artists exploring progressive ideas and new possibilities. The project supports inquiry thoughts of creators in the age of flux where culture, environment, and society are all revolved in continuous change, in consequence shifts and misplaces in relationships and social roles of people. BACC experimental project stimulates curators and artists to deconstruct, examine, and analyze in order to question various concerns and search for answers, or experiment for possibilities and communicate their process and outcomes to general audience. From the long history of traditional belief that is difficult to modify, the project has a goal in providing different angles to outdated fixed values and reach out beyond frames of explanations in our own time. It is to create diverse dialogues between what has happened before, what is currently happening, and what it could be in the future, that results as experiences and valuable viewpoints to various issues. BACC Experimental Project in the year of 2012 presents Museum-Serve project with the exhibitions as follows: What do we do when we lose our way?

7, 10 และ 9 ธันวาคม 2554 ดำเนินงานโดย สถาบันเกอเธ่ ร่วมกับหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร เยี่ยมบ้าน 2 ศิลปิน สำรวจหนังสือจมน้ำ คณะทำงานโครงการกู้หนังสือจมน้ำ นำโดย คุณลักขณา คุณาวิชยานนท์ ผู้อำนวยการหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร และดร.นอร์เบิร์ท สปิทซ์ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันเกอเธ่ เดินทางเยี่ยมบ้านคุณสุชาติ สวัสดิ์ศรี และ คุณนิวัตร กองเพียร เพื่อสำรวจหนังสือและเอกสารสำคัญที่เสียหายจาก เหตุการณ์อุทกภัย เพื่อหาแนวทางให้ความช่วยเหลือในโครงการกู้หนังสือ จมน้ำ รวมทั้งให้กำลังใจในฐานะที่ทั้งสองท่านเป็นบุคลากรสำคัญด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม อบรมปฏิบัติการกู้หนังสือจมนํ้า จัดอบรมการให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการคืนสภาพหนังสือที่ถูกน้ำท่วม จากเหตุการณ์ อุทกภัยในปี 2554 ให้กลับคืนสู่สภาพเดิม โดยวิทยากรเชี่ยวชาญจากประเทศ เยอรมัน ให้กับห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย และห้องสมุดสาธารณะต่างๆ Rescuing Books

7 and 10 December 2011 Organized by Goethe-Institut and Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Visit notable artists’ houses to rescue books A book rescue team led by Luckana Kunavichayanont, Director of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre and Dr. Norbert Spitz, Director of Goethe-Institut Thailand visited notable figures in art and culture, Niwat Kongpien and Suchart Sawasdsri to abet and offer solutions in rescuing books that were damaged from flood incident in Bangkok last year. Rescuing Books Workshop The workshop introduced first-aid treatment to rescue wet books damaged from flood situation in 2011 by experts from Germany for universities’ libraries and public libraries. 097

Art Library

ในปี 2554 ห้องสมุดศิลปะให้บริการทรัพยากร สารสนเทศ ในฐานะห้องสมุดประชาชน สังกัด กรุงเทพมหานคร จนกระทั่งวันที่ 19 สิงหาคม 2554 กรุงเทพมหานคร โดย ม.ร.ว.สุขุมพันธุ์ บริพัตร ผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานคร และมูลนิธิหอศิลปวัฒนธรรม แห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร โดย คุณอภิรักษ์ โกษะโยธิน ประธานมูลนิธิฯ ได้ลงนามร่วมกันในสัญญาให้สิทธิ์แก่ มูลนิธิฯ ในการบริหารจัดการอาคารหอศิลปวัฒนธรรม แห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร รวมทั้งห้องสมุดศิลปะด้วย จึงทำให้มีปรับเปลี่ยนนโยบายห้องสมุดและการให้ บริการต่างๆ ดังนี้ 1. ห้องสมุดปรับเปลี่ยนจากห้องสมุดประชาชน เป็นห้องสมุดเฉพาะ โดยมุ่งเน้นการให้บริการทรัพยากร สารสนเทศทางด้านศิลปะร่วมสมัยมากขึ้นตามนโยบาย ของมูลนิธิฯ 2. ห้องสมุดขยายเวลาการให้บริการ คือ ทุกวันอังคารอาทิตย์ เวลา 10.00-19.30 น. 3. ห้องสมุดปรับเปลี่ยนค่าสมาชิกห้องสมุดและเงิน ประกันหนังสือ ดังนี้ ค่าสมาชิกห้องสมุด - เด็ก 50 บาท - ผู้ใหญ่ 100 บาท ค่าประกันหนังสือ - เด็ก 100 บาท - ผู้ใหญ่ 200 บาท 4. ห้องสมุดเพิ่มจำนวนชั่วโมงการใช้บริการอินเทอร์เน็ต ต่อวัน เป็นเวลา 90 นาที สำหรับสมาชิกรหัส 55XXXX มีผู้ใช้บริการห้องสมุดศิลปะ จำนวน 36,790 คน ในปี 2554 (ข้อมูลจากกรุงเทพมหานคร กองนันทนาการ สำนักวัฒนธรรม กีฬา และการท่องเที่ยว กลุ่มงาน พัฒนาห้องสมุดประชาชน)

In 2011, BACC Art Library, as a public library, has operated for information resources service under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). Until 19th August 2011, BMA by M.R.Sukhumbhand Paribatra and BACC Foundation by Apirak Kosayodhin countersigned the contract in order to bestow right to BACC Foundation to supervise Bangkok Art and Culture Centre including Art library which resulted in adjusting library policy and service as follows: 1. Library has shifted from a public library to a special one by giving more emphasis on information resources services concerning contemporary art according to BACC foundation’s policy 2. Library has increased opening hours from 10.00 until 19.30 hr. 3. Library has adjusted membership fee and book deposit fee as follows: Library membership fee - Children 50 baht - Adult 100 baht Book deposit fee - Children 100 baht - Adult 200 baht 4. Library has increased library user’s Internet access to be 90 minutes per day (for member whose code is 55xxxx) Art library had 36,790 visitors in 2011 (statistics from Public Library Development Section; Bangkok City Recreation Division; Culture, Sports and Tourism Department; Bangkok Metropolitan Administration)

Our establishment came from the devotion of the network of artists who had patiently proposed this project forward over 15 years until it was opened in July 2008. BACC is set up and tremendously supported by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and under the management of BACC Foundation.
