Yn falch o’i threftadaeth ac yn arbennig lle Trelái yn ei chalon, dywed Ayola ei bod wrth ei bodd yn derbyn Gwobr Siân Phillips, sy’n cydnabod unigolyn Cymreig a wnaeth gyfraniad sylweddol i ffilm a/neu deledu: “Mae etifeddiaeth yn hanfodol bwysig i mi, felly mae’n anrhydedd enfawr i mi ymuno â’r rhestr o’r rhai sydd wedi cael eu cydnabod yn y gorffennol. Rwy’n gobeithio y gallaf ddefnyddio’r platfform anhygoel hwn i weithio gyda mwy ohonynt ac i annog, ysbrydoli a gweithio gyda’r rhai y gellir ychwanegu eu henwau yn y dyfodol.” Proud of her heritage and in particular Ely’s place in her heart, Ayola says she’s delighted to receive the Siân Phillips Award, which recognises a Welsh individual who’s made a significant contribution to film and/or television: “Legacy is vitally important to me, so I’m hugely honoured to join the list of those who’ve been recognised in the past. I hope I can use this incredible platform to work with more of them and to encourage, inspire and work with those whose names may be added in the future.” 48
