A stay at the lodge is generously all-inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner with inspired daily changing menus, open bar with premium wines and spirits (a cellarmasters list is available at an additional cost), in-tent bar, signature experiences and return Ayers Rock Airport transfers.

Reflecting the easy-going nature of the outback, dress is relaxed at Longitude 131°. Solid walking shoes, comfortable casual clothes and layers of warmer clothes if travelling in the cooler months are recommended. Hat and sunscreen are essential year-round.

Signature experiences

Treasured as Australia's spiritual heart, the World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is an ancient desert landscape widely known as the 'Red Centre'. A series of signature excursions offers guests an intimate encounter with the natural icons from sunrise to sunset. Guests walk among the mighty domes of Kata Tjuta, wander through Bruce Munro’s art phenomenon Field of Light and dine under the stars at Table 131°.

Guided experiences are provided on an intimate shared basis with fellow guests at scheduled times. A personalised itinerary is created for each guest and presented on arrival at the lodge. Touring may also be arranged on a private basis for an additional charge, subject to availability.

Bespoke experiences

Possibilities to explore Australia’s outback are as vast as its horizons. Guests looking to tailor a special interest itinerary, can choose from a selection of bespoke experiences. Activities may be relaxed, like romantic private dining, or more energetic like hikes including the Uluru base walk and rewarding Valley of the Winds circuit at Kata Tjuta.

Longitude 131° also partners with specialist adventure operators for tours including scenic flights over the Red Centre and beyond. Adventure seekers can jump on a camel or a Harley-Davidson for an unforgettable ride around Uluru. Activities operate on a limited shared or private basis and are best arranged prior to arrival.

Check-in / Check-out Check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 10.30am. Where possible, flexibility with early check-in and late check-out will be provided, however, these are unable to be guaranteed.

Spa Kinara

A cool sanctuary in Australia’s rich red desert, Spa Kinara sits low in the sand dunes at Longitude 131°, connecting the sky to the earth and offering travellers a welcome retreat. A signature menu of treatments features the Australian made Li’Tya spa care range complemented with Central Australia’s surprising resource of native beauty products. Two standalone retreats inspired by the design of a traditional Indigenous shelter offer guests a sense of true calm and of being grounded in the landscape.

Dietary requirements

As the lodge is situated in a remote destination, it’s essential to advise any special dietary needs at the time of reservation. We will do our best to tailor menus accordingly whilst providing opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of premium regional produce. Should notice not be provided in advance, our chefs will endeavour to prepare suitable meals with the ingredients available. We regret we are unable to prepare meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation.

Climate

Warm, sunny days with minimal rainfall are the norm for much of the year. Typical desert weather patterns make for reasonable fluctuations in temperature between day and night. During the summer months, average temperatures range from 35°C during the day to 18°C overnight. In the winter months, the average daytime temperature is 22°C and 0°C overnight.

Getting there

Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, Ayers Rock Airport is three hours’ travel by air from most Australian capital cities. Daily direct flights are available from Sydney, Cairns and Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Airport; direct flights from Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Darwin operate on selected days. Alternatively, flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne connect via Alice Springs and onto Ayers Rock Airport. Regular flights are operated by Jetstar and Qantas

Self-drive is a popular option with most itineraries travelling via Alice Springs, located 445 kilometres north-west of Yulara (approximately 4.5 hours’ drive). Please note, private vehicle access isn’t permitted at the property and parking is available at nearby Ayers Rock Resort. Longitude 131° provides complimentary return transfers and prior arrangements are required.

Airport transfers

The lodge operates complimentary airport transfers connecting with scheduled flights to and from Ayers Rock Airport shared with fellow guests. Upon arrival, meet the Longitude 131° guide adjacent to the luggage carousel.

Private transfers between Longitude 131° and Ayers Rock Airport may be arranged subject to availability for an additional charge. For those seeking a spectacular departure experience, helicopter transfers are available from the Longitude 131° helipad. Reservations are essential, additional charges apply.
