INTRODUCTORY MEETING
O
ur school has won an Erasmus+ project entitled „Different cultures on the same stage,” which will take place between September 2014 and August 2016. Beside our school, the participants are Szabolcs Vezér Secondary Technical School and College in Pusztaszabolcs, Hungary, Kanlikavak Musa Ayar Cok Programli Lisesi in Göksun, Turkey and Gimnasio Liceo Statale Immanuel Kant in Rome, Italy. The introductory meeting took place in January 2015, hosted by the coordinator Hungarian school. Here we discussed and stated the dates of the activities, divided the tasks and designated the responsible teams. The tasks of the application include a joint website operation where we share the activities organized by the schools, recordings, photographs, reports. We compiled a four-language dictionary of the most used words, expressions. Furthermore, the project tasks include a showcase which presents the cultural particularities, culinary specialties and school activities of the host team.

FIRST MEETING
he first meeting took place in the Italian school in April 2015. The students presented their institution. We had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Italian school system; we visited classes and attended the Italian students’ meaningful and interesting demonstration about the local sights of Rome, the most important Italian writers and, last but not least, the school’s colourful and diverse activities. In the following similar activities will take place during the next meetings at the schools participating in the project.

SECOND MEETING
W
e have come to the next meeting of the Erasmus + project „Different cultures on the same stage” between 12 and 17 October 2015. The meeting place was Turkey, where the Kanlikavak Musa Ayar Çok ProgramDescription Lisesi, Göksun received us. The host school has prepared a versatile program for us. After the presentation of the school, we visited the students’ demonstration about their school, city, local sights and famous people. Thereafter we visited classes, and we got a taste of traditional Turkish cuisine as part of a rustic garden lunch. During the following days there were several project discussions, followed by short trips in the region that aimed at getting to know local sights. Among others, we visited Kayseri, where we could see local handicrafts, and we could try out the preparation of clay pots as well. The next stop was the Göreme National Park and its rock churches in Cappadocia. The picturesque rock sites were once the center of Christianity in Anatolia. We tasted the famous ice cream in Kahramanmaraş that does not melt away. We visited the Kahramanmaras castle, which was damaged in the war of independence against the French-the bravery of the people in this fight made the government add the word “Kahraman”, „hero” to the city’s name. Then we visited the famous Bazaar, where we could buy our local products, of course, with bargaining. The famous Turkish hospitality proved to be true as the Turkish hosts tried to satisfy our requests as well besides providing a colourful program. Thus, we took a trip to Turkey’s third largest mosque in Kahranmanmaraş and the Cappadocian „fairy chimneys.” Seeing the beautiful sites was wonderful, but the greatest experience was the interest and kindness of the Turkish people, complemented by their famous black tea.
