Tres arquitectos españoles han resultado premiados en el concurso celebrado en Rusia ‘Open International Competition for Alternative Layout Design in Standard Housing’, para la creación de nuevas tipologías de vivienda. El concurso invitaba a creadores de todo el mundo a desarrollar conceptos innovadores para el diseño de viviendas adaptadas tanto al clima del país como a las nuevas necesidades de la sociedad contemporánea. Las propuestas de Sidereal, Pedro Pitarch y Raúl Gutiérrez Salgado entraron en la primera selección junto a otros 17 proyectos, y han obtenido distintos galardones en una segunda fase, que finalmente ha otorgado cinco primeros premios, cinco segundos y diez terceros.
Three Spanish architects have been shortlisted in the Open International Competition for Alternative Layout Design in Standard Housing, held in Russia. The competition invited professionals from around the world, both young and experienced, to develop innovative concepts for the design of housing adapted to the country’s climate and to the new needs of its contemporary society. The proposals submitted by Sidereal, Pedro Pitarch, and Raúl Gutiérrez Salgado made the first cut along with 17 other projects, and now they have won several distinctions in a second stage, which has finally awarded five first, five second, and ten third prizes.

El desarrollo de las distintas tipologías se genera a partir de un único módulo estructural y de uso de 3,6m x 3,6m. Esta estancia de 12,96m² se repite dando lugar a apartamentos de distintos tamaños. Para la construcción se propone el uso de madera local.

The development of the different types of buildings is generated from a single structural module, which also defines the uses, of 3.6m x 3.6m. This 12.96m² room is repeated giving rise to apartments of varied sizes. The brief proposes using local wood for construction.

En vez de tres tipologías definidas, se propone un sistema flexible en que los prototipos comparten un catálogo único de apartamentos y tienen la capacidad de conectarse físicamente, dando lugar así a configuraciones urbanas casi infinitas.

Instead of offering three specific floor plan types, the project proposes a flexible system in which the prototypes share a unique catalogue of apartments and can be interconnected to obtain almost infinite urban configurations.
