back to the Mid America Simmental sale at the Illinois Beef Expo in Springfield. The date has been changed to Friday, February 25th and the sale time will be at 2:00. Please make note of those two changes. The quality is higher than it has ever been at the sale. First off, we at DP Sales want to offer a Big Thank You to the consignors of the sale this year. We appreciate the breeders that are huge supporters bringing several lots. The sale needs to happen each year, so we appreciate all the dedicated breeders and their high quality genetics. The whole sale is quality but look at the sale highlights just returning home from Denver and following up after a successful sale. Hopefully, many breeders whether you are looking for seedstock to advance your program or a commercial guy looking for a herd bull or heifers to upgrade your operation, Mid America is the place for genetic advancement. As a junior, whether you’re looking for a heifer or adding a second one to show in Madison the heifers are superb. The Junior Association is growing and will continue to, so pass the word to others and their families. The state association is a benefit to everyone so come and support the breeders at the sale. The banquet will follow later after the sale. We along with the ISA welcomes all to the sale and other activities at the expo. This one came in small and extremely green. She has become the farm favorite and a true sweetheart. She is later maturing she has really turned it on the past 3 months and bodied down to boot. She is eloquent through her head and neck as clean and tight through her front 1/3 as you can find in a 3/4 blood. She is strong and straight topped from the point of her shoulder all the way out her tailhead. Really a good complete one here and 8643J is sure to find plenty of friends with her striking look, only magnified by her marked up baldy face and white udder. She comes together at the standstill with her solid profile, deep center, and length of front end. DLS Erica Z205 has had some tremendous offspring for us and Darrin Smith. The bottom side includes cows we would love to own however want to pass on the history. The Illinois Simmental Association is hosting this summer’s 2022 AJSA National Classic in Madison, WI and are offering this Riverode 7’ double-door chute and attached palpation cage as a fundraiser to help put on that event. This is a high-quality, functional combination. It has a 2” heavy wall square galvanized tube frame and galvanized side doors of 1.5” square tubing and 14 GA sheet steel. The chute and cage are 27” wide and the two doors on each side can be opened independently and have self-closing adjustable spring latches. The chute is completed with a highly adjustable, durable head gate with parallel neck bars and a low step over exit. This combination has a retail value over $2800 and is ready to make life in your barn more manageable and productive immediately. With the 2022 AJSA Classic to be held June 24-June 30 in Madison, WI, Illinois Simmental and Junior Simmental Associations, as the host state, are offering the sale of VIP Camping Spaces. The VIP Camping is located in the North Parking Lot of the Alliant Energy Center grounds in Madison, which is directly adjacent to Pavilions 1 and 2 where cattle will be stalled during the Classic. Offered here at the Dixie National Sale is the 4th choice of the VIP Camping Spaces. 100% of the proceeds from the VIP Camping Spaces sale go to support the 2022 AJSA Classic.
