Sussex has it all from coast to countryside, seaside resorts to medieval towns. And this tour showcases the best of it whilst staying in a 3-star hotel on the outskirts of historic Chichester with full leisure facilities.

Saturday We depart after lunch and go direct to our hotel in Chichester where we are met with hot drinks and mince pies.

Christmas Eve To vibrant and colourful Brighton, where you will find a treasure trove of things to do from seaside fun on the pier to the stunning heritage of the Royal Pavilion, plus great shops! Then back to our hotel for afternoon tea and cakes.

Christmas Day Food and entertainment all day in the hotel. There is a game’s room with traditional and modern games available. Boxing Day We visit Worthing for a morning walk in some sea air! Then back to the hotel for our buffet lunch. In the afternoon the coach is available to take you to the centre of Chichester for a short time to explore if you wish.

Wednesday Directly home after breakfast.

Experience Christmas whilst staying in a superb 4-star hotel in the centre of King’s Lynn and surrounded by the big skies of North Norfolk. We also get to see plenty of sea views on our trips out. Our first Christmas holiday to this hotel last Christmas was a huge success!

Saturday Into East Anglia and we make a lunch time stop in Ely, a city full of charm and beauty with one of the most magnificent cathedrals in England.

Christmas Eve We visit the resorts of Sheringham and Cromer. Sheringham is a traditional fishing village and Cromer a historic seaside resort with sandy beaches. We return to the hotel for our afternoon tea.

Christmas Day All day in the hotel enjoying food and festivities. Our hotel is central if you would like a walk out at any point around the town or to the River Great Ouse.

Boxing Day Following breakfast and brunch we enjoy a coastal drive through Hunstanton before making a stop in Wells-nextthe-Sea for some sea air.

Wednesday We return with a lunch time stop in St Albans, a jewel of a city with history, culture plus great food and shopping.

Christmas in the Lake District Shap

Fabulous hotel, entertainment and location make this a wonderful Christmas holiday. On our days out we get to see seven of the Lake District’s lakes and our hotel is situated in a secluded, wooded valley high in the Shap Fells and surrounded by mountain streams.

Saturday We travel north with a lunch time stop in Chester. Hot drink and mince pies on arrival.

Christmas Eve We make a circular tour with a lunch time stop in Keswick. We view Ullswater, Thirlmere, Grasmere, Rydal and Derwent Water. Amazing scenery all day long.

Christmas Day The day starts with breakfast followed by morning tea with Shortbread. A Kir Royale is served before Christmas dinner and there is also a live singer. Following the King’s Speech there is Christmas cake and in the evening a buffet dinner with another live singer.

Boxing Day Into the southern Lake District and we make a stop in Bowness-on-Windermere. We continue around Lake Windermere and complete our circular tour with a drive along the banks of Coniston Water before returning to our hotel for a light buffet lunch.

Wednesday We return home with a stop in Shrewsbury.

Ilfracombe has a picturesque harbour along with narrow streets and the North Devon coast is renowned for its unique character and spectacular scenery. This superb hotel is now a firm favourite all year round and we offer you the chance to stay there for Christmas, New Year or both!

If you choose to combine the two holidays, it becomes an 11-day holiday! Our coach and driver will depart on the morning of Thursday 28th and then return late afternoon on Saturday 30th, so you will be free to explore the area at your own leisure. You will of course still have the team at this great hotel to look after you during your stay who are also including two afternoon teas!

CHRISTMAS ITINERARY

Christmas Eve We travel to Devon and travel along the picturesque North Coast with just a short stop in Minehead, so we are at the hotel in plenty of time to get settled before Christmas begins!

Christmas Day All day in our hotel. It is centrally located so you can enjoy a short walk to the harbour or beach in-between enjoying all that the hotel has to offer.

Boxing Day To Barnstaple on the River Taw, with its famous ‘Butchers Row’. Then a short stop in Appledore, a small but thriving fishing and trading village since the 14th century.

Wednesday Over Exmoor and via Simonsbath and Wheddon Cross, then via Dunster and along the North Devon coast to a lunch stop in Lynton.

Thursday For those of us departing for home, we follow the beautiful Taw Valley from Ilfracombe to Exeter where we make a stop in this historic city. (If you are doing our combined holiday, you will have free days to explore the area at your own leisure on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.)

Saturday We follow the Atlantic Highway through Devon to Cornwall with a lunchtime stop in the Devon town of Bideford. New Year’s Eve A scenic drive with views of St Michael’s Mount and we make a stop in Falmouth, in its beautiful position on the estuary.

New Year’s Day A relaxed start to the day so maybe take a walk around the quaint old village of St Agnes with wonderful views down by the beaches. Later we make a short trip to the county town of Truro.

Tuesday Leaving St Agnes we return on a different route and make a lunch time stop in Exeter. A small city that packs a big punch with its history, shops and vibrancy.

New Year in the Cornish Riviera | Falmouth

Saturday To Cornwall and we make a lunchtime stop in the historic fishing port of Looe, where two rivers create a tidal harbour. The bustling harbour is the hub of the town and home to fishing vessels as well as pleasure craft

New Year’s Eve To Porthleven where we make a short stop in this unspoilt fishing harbour steeped in history. Then a photo stop in Marazion, with great views of St Michael’s Mount, before we continue to dramatic Land’s End.

New Year’s Day A relaxing day to enjoy Falmouth. For those that would like a lift into the town centre the coach will do a return journey.
