Experience all that Cornwall has to offer whilst based in this lovely hotel in the quaint Cornish Coastal village of St Agnes. Lots of the scenic local area features in the TV drama Poldark.

First Day We follow the Atlantic Highway through Devon to Cornwall with a lunchtime stop in the Devon town of Bideford. Tours whilst at resort

A | We make a morning stop in Porthleven with its picturesque high walled harbour with colourful boats. Then we enjoy views of Mount’s Bay, overlooked by the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, before arriving at Land’s End where we make a short stop in this dramatic location. Then the coastal route to St Ives. St Ives is described as the jewel in Cornwall’s crown and has a picturesque fishing harbour.

B | To the south coast of Cornwall and we visit Falmouth in its beautiful position on the estuary, which is the deepest in Western Europe. Later, we visit Truro, the county town of Cornwall.

C | We call at Charlestown, a pristine, unspoiled example of a Georgian working port, used as a set for Poldark’s dock scenes. Then to Mevagissey where narrow streets and steep valley sides lead down to the distinctive twin harbour which provides a safe haven for the many fishing boats landing their daily catch. In typical picture postcard style, pubs, cafes, galleries and shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets.

D | We pass through Perranporth and travel along the north coast of Cornwall. After enjoying the scenic coastal drive we make a stop in Padstow. Padstow has a lovely setting by the Camel Estuary where narrow streets lead to the harbour. Free time to enjoy St Agnes on our return.

Last Day We return by a different route and remain in Cornwall with a lunchtime stop in the historic fishing port of Looe, where two rivers create a tidal harbour. The bustling harbour is the hub of the town and home to fishing vessels as well as pleasure craft.
